Abstract

A textile loom has a spreader in limited curved surface contact with the weave, and retained in a U-shape socket. The socket consists of a lower profile and an upper profile, forming upper and lower clamping points, as seen in cross section from a viewpoint in which the weave is in contact with the bar. A suitable lever force is applied as required to either end of the bar. The clamp points are loaded or relieved either separately or together. The leverage force is adjustable.
