Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a Method of assigning frequency blocks of electromagnetic Spectrum in the range above 30 MHz to geographic areas for the terrestrial Use by broadcasting services in the same wave technology, in particular after the European DVB-T or T-DAB standard [1, 2].
To the electromagnetic spectrum for terrestrial Single-frequency transmitter networks available to make it requires a plan that enables interference-free use of radio services allows. This is manufactured according to the prior art in that for defined geographical areas the use of precisely specified parts of the electromagnetic spectrum is permitted and the use there other parts of the spectrum is excluded. You share the spectrum in terms of frequency one called "radio channels", "frequency blocks" or "channels", and agreed for the glow the boundaries of the areas to the outside a maximum allowable spectral power flux density for the sum of the contributions all transmitters in a single-wave transmitter network. The tolerance frequency block usage is achieved by which have the same frequency blocks are geographically so far apart that the mutual radiation of the electromagnetic waves due to the distance is weakened sufficiently and so the reception of the signal intended to be emitted in an area becomes.
Served when drawing up the plan you look at methodological approaches to electromagnetic Spectrum as possible to be able to use it intensively. This means availability of spectrum for preferably numerous single-frequency transmitter networks for the broadcasting of radio services, which are national, regional and local according to the guidelines media policy. According to the state of the art three different approaches are used, (1) the Diamond planning for the assignment of frequencies and radiation properties to transmitter locations (e.g. Stockholm Plan 1961, Geneva Plan 1984), (2) the staining method including stochastic computer algorithms (e.g. Wiesbaden Plan 1995) and (3) cell planning based more regular, periodic continued hexagons. The basics of these procedures are in [3] explained.
To eliminate both drawbacks according to the invention, the dimensions of the cells and the geographic repeat distance of the cells are separated. This enables a separate dimensioning of both sizes.
The economic benefits of the process is seen in that the scarce resource radio spectrum is better is exploited. This can result in comparison to the results based on the previously available Procedure a larger number Single-wave transmitter networks for the areal transfer of television and radio performances planned, built and operated.
The procedure below is based on explained by figures.
