Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a Suppression method a swimming and bulking in the aerobic treatment stage of biological wastewater treatment, being the sewage in a cycle an anaerobic and then over an aerobic treatment stage with the addition of a mixture of an inorganic Flocculants and organic compounds are largely used before purified wastewater be eliminated from the circulation.
Phosphataufnahme der aerob polyphosphatspeichernden Bakterien benötigt, was
in abwechselnd belüfteten
The one for biological cleaning phosphorus-containing sewerage Operating conditions to be created are advantageous for thread bacteria Living conditions. These thread bacteria, z. B. Microthrix parvicella, form a thread-like structure that the settling of through it caused sludge hampered and slowed down. There is swelling and swimming sludge, sufficient separation of the sludge-water mixture in the secondary clarifier endangered, especially in the case of an increased wastewater inflow due to the weather. In such make it can therefore be expected that sludge will overflow of the clarifier in inadmissible Way is aborted.
The invention is therefore the object underlying the development of bloating and floating sludge with biological wastewater treatment nitrogen and phosphorus elimination to a safe level Measure too suppress.
Based on a process of solves the type described above the invention the stated object in that the circuit is a flocculant based on a polymerized metal hydroxide compound and a quaternary Amine with a positive charge can be added as an organic compound.
The invention is based on the knowledge that the thread bacteria prevent growth by other microorganisms due to a hydrophobic surface caused by exo-polymeric substances. By adding a mixture of a flocculant based on a polymerized metal hydroxide compound and a quaternary amine with a positive charge, the charge conditions in the surface area of the filamentous bacteria can be changed so that they can be colonized by flocculating bacteria. In spite of their comparatively low growth rate, the flake-forming bacteria thus have a growth advantage over the filamentous bacteria, which are increasingly incorporated into the resulting mud flakes and thus their disadvantageous influence on the settling behavior of the mud flakes to lose. The sedimentation rate of the sludge flakes increases, which in connection with the deteriorated growth conditions for the thread bacteria leads to a sustainable improvement in the sludge settling behavior. In addition, due to the change in charge on the surface of the filamentous bacteria, the substances to be broken down, which serve as nutrients for the bacteria, are better integrated into the sludge flake and the mechanical stability of the sludge flake is increased.
The flocculant, in particular as an adsorption surface for the Serves microorganisms, can advantageously be based on polyaluminium hydroxide chloride to be created. In connection with an organic charge carrier, preferably made of a polyethylene diamine particularly cheap conditions for the suppression from inflatable and mud are created.
In order to adapt to different framework conditions, different additives can be added to the mixture. For example, a mixture with a flocculant based on polyaluminium hydroxide chloride was used for a pronounced phosphorus precipitation, which has an aluminum content (in the form of Al 2 O 3 ) of 163 g Al 2 O 3 / kg, a basicity of 52.1 g OH / kg and a relative basicity of 0.35 mol OH / 3 mol aluminum was characterized. In addition, 7 g calcium / kg and as organic charge carrier 100 g polyethylene diamine / kg were added. With this mixture, the amount of floating sludge from a biological sewage treatment plant could be suppressed to a safe level after a corresponding start-up phase. The mixture was added during the start-up phase in a higher amount between 10 to 80 g / m 3 based on the amount of feed water. For continuous operation, the mixture amount could be reduced to 5 to 50 g / m 3 . The amount added can be based on an average daily water volume or, depending on the application, can be derived from parameters that are decisive for sludge formation. It is thus possible, for example, to control or regulate the metering of the mixture from the amount of feed water, the sludge level in the secondary clarifier or the wastewater pollution, in particular due to phosphorus. The admixture of the mixture according to the invention does not require any change in the other operating parameters of a sewage treatment plant.
In another wastewater composition, in which the focus was not on phosphorus precipitation, but on the suppression of floating and expanded sludge, a flocculant based on a polyaluminium hydroxide chloride with 140 g Al 2 O 3 / kg, a basicity of 149 g OH / kg and one relative basicity of 1.07 mol OH / 3 mol aluminum in combination with 7 g calcium / kg, 35 g magnesium / kg, and 120 g polyethylene diamine / kg as a positive charge carrier, the sludge settling behavior can be significantly improved. Magnesium and calcium were added as a function of sedimentation tests in order to have an advantageous influence on the formation of the sludge flakes.
In a third exemplary embodiment, the flocculant was determined on the basis of polyaluminium hydroxide chloride with an aluminum content of 152 g Al 2 O 3 / kg, a basicity of 55.6 g OH / kg and a relative basicity of 0.37 mol OH / 3 mol aluminum , This inorganic flocculant was admixed with 30 g magnesium / kg and 120 g polyethylene diamine / kg as organic charge carriers. With this composition, too, the sludge settling behavior could be influenced in the desired manner and the formation of floating and bulking sludge could be suppressed to an entirely acceptable level in the long run.
The dosage of the product can in a simple way precipitation tests be determined. The feeder in the wastewater cycle can take place at different points for example in the area of the course from the aerobic treatment stage, in the area of the sludge return, or in the area of the wastewater inlet. It is just towards it make sure that Mixture is brought into contact with the activated sludge.
