wie an dem anderen Reaktionspartner angewendet werden.as applied to the other reactant.
Suitable solvents for the alkanediols are, for example, liquid benzene hydrocarbons, such as benzene, Toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes.
The reaction proceeds essentially in such a way that from 2 moles of the alkanediol and 1 mole of phosphorus pentasulfide Formation of 2 moles of the phosphorus-containing heterocyclic compound releases 1 mole of hydrogen sulfide.
The hydrogen sulfide is removed as it forms during the reaction. The reaction is over, as soon as the evolution of hydrogen sulfide has ceased.
Die ölige Schicht wird abgetrennt, mit Wasser gewaschen, durch Destillation imThe unreacted starting materials are filtered off, and the end product can be different In a purified form. The reaction mixture can, for example, with a dilute caustic alkali solution treated to convert the mercapto compound to the corresponding alkali salt, the by subsequent treatment with dilute aqueous acid solution, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, is converted back into the mercapto compound, the solution being converted into an oily and a aqueous layer separates. The oily layer is separated, washed with water, distilled in

Vacuum freed of low-boiling components (stripped) and the residue under high vacuum, preferably distilled in a downdraft molecular still.
Die Wirksamkeit der verschiedenen Reinigungsmaßnahmen hängt naturgemäß vom Schmelzpunkt und der Löslichkeit des zu reinigenden Produktes ab.The reaction product filtered off can optionally be recrystallized from toluene solution by distillation will. Any colored impurities can then be removed by extraction with ethyl ether will. The effectiveness of the various cleaning measures naturally depends on the melting point and the solubility of the product to be cleaned.
Nachstehend wird die Erfindung an einigen Beispielen erläutert:The invention is illustrated below using a few examples:
Das Produkt enthält 12,99 % Phosphor (theoretisch 12,88%) und 25,75% Schwefel (theoretisch 26,68%).To 146 g (1 mol) of 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanedioL the to 90 bis 100 ° have been heated, gradually 111 g (0.5 mol) of phosphorus pentasulfide slowly within 40 minutes given. The reaction mixture is held at 100 ° for 30 minutes or more until the evolution of hydrogen sulfide has stopped and then filtered. The filtrate is added dropwise with cooling and stirring 220 g of a 20% strength aqueous caustic soda solution are added so that the temperature remains between 65 and 70 °. Thereafter 120 ecm 37% aqueous hydrochloric acid solution are added dropwise to the homogeneous solution kept at 50 ° given. The oil layer formed is separated off, washed with 50 ecm of water and at a pressure of stripped less than 2 mm at a piston temperature of 124 °. The residue is filtered and filtered through Distillation at 124 ° under a pressure of less than 0.2 mm in a falling film short path still distilled. There are 112 g of 5-ethyl-2-mercapto-4-propyl ~ 2-thiono-l, 3,2-dioxaphosphorinane with a refractive index of 1.5341 at 30 °, a molecular weight of 242.4 (theoretical 240.3) and a purity (determined by the acidity) of 98.7%. The product contains 12.99% phosphorus (theoretical 12.88%) and 25.75% sulfur (theoretical 26.68%).
To a suspension of 111 g (0.5 mol) of phosphorus pentasulfide in 100 g of toluene, which is heated to 95 to 100 °, 68 g (0.9 mol) of propane-1,2-diol are added dropwise over 15 minutes with stirring given. The reaction mixture is kept at this temperature for 1 hour until the evolution of gas has ceased and then filtered off. 15 g of residue are obtained. The filtrate is stripped off at a flask temperature of 100 ° and a pressure of less than 3 mm. The liquid residue is distilled at a pressure of less than 0.2 mm, and 37 g of 2-mercapto-4-methyl-2-thiono-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane as a pale yellowish distillate with a molecular weight of 182, a refractive index nf of 1.5592, a phosphorus content of 18.62 (theoretical 18.20) and a sulfur content of 34.6 (theoretical 37.67).

Das Produkt enthält 14,61 % Phosphor (theoretisch 14,58%), 28,9% Schwefel (theoretisch 30,2%), 33,73% Kohlenstoff (theoretisch 33,96%) und 6,11% Wasserstoff (theoretisch 6,17%).If stirring is stopped, the liquid separates into an aqueous and an oily layer. The aqueous layer becomes acidified with 200 ecm 37% hydrochloric acid, which in turn separates into an aqueous and an oily layer. The second oily layer is separated off, dried at 25 ° under a pressure of 3 mm and immersed in 200 ecm of ethyl ether recorded. The solution obtained is filtered, the filtrate at 25 ° for 4 hours with 150 g of anhydrous Stirred sodium sulfate, left to stand overnight and filtered. The filtrate is taken by distillation at 25 ° stripped at a pressure of less than 2 mm. The residue from 116 g of 2-mercapto-2-thiono-4,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane is obtained as a yellow-brown solid with a melting point of 42 to 44 °. the Purity (determined by acidity measurement) is 98.5%. The product contains 14.61% phosphorus (theoretical 14.58%), 28.9% sulfur (theoretical 30.2%), 33.73% carbon (theoretical 33.96%) and 6.11% Hydrogen (theoretical 6.17%).
To a suspension of 111 g (0.5 mol) of phosphorus pentasulfide in 100 g of toluene, which is heated to 80 to 90 °, 132 g (1 mol) of 2,2-diethyl-1,3-propanediol and 150 added g of toluene with stirring. After the reaction mixture has been stirred for a further 2 hours at the temperature indicated above, the evolution of hydrogen sulfide has ceased. The reaction mixture is filtered at 80 °, the filtrate is diluted with 200 ecm of toluene, the resulting solution is cooled to -15 ° and the crystallized end product is filtered off.
