Am Kreuzstück 5 ist des weiteren das Absperrventil 15 zu Testzwecken angeordnet, das bei Betrieb geschlossen ist. Das U-Rohr 17 ist mit einer Messskala versehen im Mlb-Bereich zur Überwachung des Betriebsdruckes beim Messvorgang an der Taube. Das U-Rohr 17 ist ebenfalls mit einem Absperrventil 16 zur Anschlussstelle 8 hin versehen, das bei Betrieb offen ist. Zu der Vorrichtung gehört des weiteren ein Thermometer 18 sowie ein Uhrenwerk 19 mit Start-Stop-Funktion.It is a pneumatic breathing air measurement for the carrier pigeon.
