Furthermore, a measuring device for carrying out such a method is disclosed.
The object of the invention is therefore to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages in a simple and cost-effective manner.
This object is achieved by a method according to the invention in that in a first step an XY application plane is defined, in a second step a virtual processing of the laser is started using processing paths of the laser in the application plane and a scanning of the processing paths is started by the measuring head , which rotates about the Z-axis and is moved back and forth in a first and further steps, the measuring head is moved back to the starting point of the measuring head in the second Y direction in order to generate a plurality of imaging planes of the scanned radiation in the detector, with the plurality of imaging planes being superimposed in a final step to form an overall image of the processing paths of the laser . This ensures a real representation of the laser geometry in the processing path. The intensity distribution or energy input on the entire processing path can be precisely traced. Disadvantageous intensity peaks, for example in gaps that would lead to a lot of spatter or a reduction in intensity that would lead to a welding depth that is too low, can be recognized early on in order to then adapt the processing data of the laser device accordingly before the actual processing. In most cases, the so-called X-Y application plane should correspond to the so-called focal plane, the plane in which the focal point of the laser radiation is located.
It has proven to be advantageous if the number of imaging levels is greater than 100. This means that a very precise intensity distribution of the laser radiation in the processing path can be traced. An even larger number of application levels accordingly increases the resolution of the intensity distribution. The number of imaging planes depends in particular, but not exclusively, on the process speed of the laser and on geometry sizes.
By defining several application levels, the caustics of the laser radiation can be easily created and checked with regard to specific measurement data.
In a particularly advantageous manner, the overall image of the processing paths represents at least the intensity distribution of the radiation, for example in color form, in the processing path.
Advantageously, the overall image of the processing path can also be measured in terms of its geometric dimensions and position and with a pre-programmed processing path be compared. This makes it possible to compare the traversed geometry of the machining path in all dimensions (lengths, widths, radii, etc.) and positions with a programmed geometry. Deviations in the application level can arise, particularly at high speeds or long operating times.
The method according to the invention is solved in the exemplary embodiment by the measuring device known from the prior art, a housing arrangement with an adjustment arrangement for the measuring head being rotatable about the Z axis and displaceable in the X-Y plane being provided, the measuring head being the pinhole for a Coupling of the radiation part and at least one deflection body is provided in the housing for deflecting the radiation onto a detector. Two deflection mirrors are provided as deflection bodies.
