Description
The invention relates to a device for exciting and/or breaking chemical bonds, the device having a reaction reactor with a fluid and an excitation source for exciting electromagnetic waves.
In addition, it is generally known that specific structures reflect electromagnetic waves in a frequency-selective manner and have an amplifying effect on them through constructive interference, such as a lattice structure after Bragg reflection.
A disadvantage of known methods for splitting chemical compounds is that the vibration generator alone does not have sufficient excitation and splitting efficiency for implementation on an industrial scale.
The object of the invention is to improve the prior art.
The object is achieved by a device for exciting and/or splitting chemical compounds according to the features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the device are described in subclaims 2 to 10.
Thus, in addition to stimulating chemical bonds by an excitation source itself, such as an IR emitter or a magnetron, chemical bonds of a fluid are stimulated and/or broken by means of the microstructured surface structure on the inner surface of the reaction reactor.
The excitation source can be configured as a vibration generator outside of the reaction reactor and/or inside the reaction reactor. The electromagnetic waves and/or vibrations introduced and/or excited in the reaction reactor by means of the vibration generator are reflected frequency-selectively at the microstructured surface structure and/or amplified by constructive interferences, which in addition to the excitation of chemical bonds also enables the chemical bonds to be broken. Due to the reflected and/or amplified oscillations, H 2 O molecules, for example, are brought into an excited state, the HO bond enters an oscillating state and can be broken down more easily.
An essential idea of the invention is based on the fact that the inner surface of the reaction reactor, aligned with the fluid, is partially or completely lined with a microstructured surface structure, whereby the excited electromagnetic waves are reflected and/or amplified in a frequency-selective manner by means of the microstructured surface structure and consequently an excitation and/or splitting of the chemical binding of the fluid takes place.
For targeted reflection and/or amplification of the impinging electromagnetic waves on the microstructured surface structure, the latter has at least one step in one spatial direction. A step is understood as meaning any projection and/or recess of a shape of the microstructured surface structure. A step does not necessarily have to be angular. A step can also have a round, elliptical and/or other shape. A step can be any form of elevation and/or depression. Thus, the microstructured surface structure can also be realized by several scales lined up next to one another and/or partially lying one on top of the other, distributed semicircular elevations and/or depressions, or by fir tree structures spaced apart from one another. Likewise, the microstructured surface structure can be formed as a structure which has the structure of a fractal entity or multiple fractal entities.
A fluid can be a gas, such as CO 2 , and/or a liquid, such as water. A fluid can also be a gas/liquid mixture, such as droplets in gas or in the decomposition of CO 2 in humid ambient air.
The microstructured surface structure can thus be used in a large number of reaction reactors, such as, for example, in photocatalytic decomposition, electrolysis, in an ozone and/or UV reactor. Likewise, the microstructured surface structure with IR radiation learning and can be used in microwave ovens to achieve a higher level of efficiency.

The microstructured surface structure 107 has a plurality of elevations in the form of a fir tree structure 127 that are spaced evenly apart from one another, with a respective tip 131 of the respective fir tree structure 127 being aligned in the water 119 . Each fir tree structure 127 has five steps 129 on both sides.
Vibrations in the water 119 are excited by means of the vibration generator 109, which are reflected frequency-selectively at the fir tree structures 127 with the steps 129 and amplified by constructive interference. Due to this reflection and amplification of the vibrations, the water molecules in the water 119 are brought into an excited state in addition to being less excited by the vibration generator 109 . This leads to an easier splitting of the water molecules by the anode 111 and the cathode 113 and thus to a more efficient electrolysis. Consequently, larger amounts of oxygen and hydrogen are discharged around the anode 111 and the cathode 113 through the respective gas discharge pipe 117 .
In an alternative of the excitation device 101, a reaction reactor 103 has a one-way mirror 123 for the passage of light and on its opposite inner wall 105 a scaled, microstructured surface structure 107. On the one-way mirror 123 side, a light source 121 is arranged outside. The reaction reactor 103 is filled with water 119 . An anode 111 and a cathode 113 are in turn arranged in the water 119 in their upper region each surrounded by a gas discharge tube 117 . The anode 111 and the cathode 113 are connected to an electrical power supply 115 as described above.
The one-way mirror 123 directly closes off the reaction reactor 103 in a direction toward the light source 121 . Light emitted from the light source 121 passes through the one-way mirror 123 . The radiated electromagnetic waves stimulate the water molecules directly and are reflected on the scaled, microstructured surface structure 107 and constructively amplified by means of interference. This increases the frequency and/or the amplitude of the electromagnetic waves. In this case, the amplification of the constructive interference takes place as a function of the respective optical wavelength of the electromagnetic waves in relation to the respective step width of the scales as steps on which the respective electromagnetic wave impinges. As a result, individual wavelengths can be selectively amplified or weakened by destructive interference.
This frequency- and/or wavelength-selective reflection and the constructive interference stimulate the H 2 O bonds again. In addition, the electromagnetic waves are reflected back into the water 119 on the inside of the one-way mirror 123, which is only permeable from the outside in on one side, hit the microstructured surface structure 107 on the opposite inner wall 105 and are again selectively reflected and amplified by constructive interference. This process of reflection at the microstructured surface structure 107 and at the opposite one-way mirror 123 is repeated continuously. As a result, the chemical bonds in the water molecules are excited and broken very efficiently, whereby the electrolysis process at the anode 111 and the cathode 113 is enhanced as described above, and thus the electrolysis efficiency is improved. As described above, a larger amount of produced oxygen and hydrogen are thereby discharged via the gas discharge pipes 117 than without them microstructured surface structure 107 in the reaction reactor 103.
