Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of Invention
The method according to the invention for operating an automated vehicle comprises a step of acquiring environmental data values by means of an environment sensor system, the environmental data values representing surroundings of the automated vehicle, the environment sensor system comprising at least a first and a second sensor, the first sensor acquiring first data values which represent a first portion of the environment, and the second sensor captures second data values representing a second portion of the environment, the first portion and the second portion overlapping at least partially in an overlapping area. The method further comprises a step of determining first environmental features depending on the first data values, a step of determining second environmental features depending on the second data values, a step of determining a correlation between the first and second environmental features and a step of operating the automated vehicle, depending on the correlation.
An automated vehicle is a partially, highly or fully automated vehicle according to one of the SAE levels 1 to 5 (see standard SAE J3016).
Surroundings sensors are at least one video sensor and/or at least one radar sensor and/or at least one lidar sensor and/or at least one additional sensor that is designed to record surroundings of a vehicle in the form of surroundings data values. In one possible embodiment, the environment sensor system includes, for example, a computing unit (processor, main memory, hard disk) with suitable software and/or is connected to such a computing unit.
An environmental feature is to be understood, for example, as an object (traffic sign, infrastructure feature [guardrail, curve, tunnel, bridge, etc.], building, etc.) that can be detected and/or classified or assigned using an environmental sensor system of the automated vehicle. In one embodiment, an environmental feature additionally or alternatively means, for example, the course of a road (number of lanes, curve radius, etc.) and/or a pattern of several, for example, repeating objects (for example, a characteristic sequence of traffic signs, etc.).
The method according to the invention advantageously solves the problem of providing a method for the safe operation of an automated vehicle. This object is achieved using the method according to the invention, for example by detecting or determining a certain blindness of individual sensors taking into account other sensors or taking into account data from these sensors within a sensor network system - here: the environment sensors - and a correspondingly suitable concept to guide The sensors in particular play an outstanding role in automated driving, as they represent the eyes and ears of the vehicle and use their data to ensure that the automated vehicle finds its way in its environment, which normally entails many risks between the vehicle and the environment. It is therefore all the more important that the data which is recorded by means of a sensor or the environment sensor system as a whole can be used reliably or can be used to determine whether and when this data cannot be used reliably. This leads to an overall more reliable and robust system (for operating the automated vehicle) and also enables constant (fault) analysis of the existing sensors.

Ausführungsformen der ErfindungEmbodiments of the invention
Here, the two
First and second
A correlation between the first and second
Depending on this specific correlation, the
In one possible embodiment, it is thus additionally checked or determined whether, for example, there is a missing (visual) connection between one of the two
In a further embodiment, the
„Anomaly Detection“.In addition or as an alternative to detecting blindness, methods from the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) can also be used. The prerequisite for this is a sufficient amount of data (labeled depending on the method). The use of one of the following methods, for example, appears promising here in order to determine abnormalities in the data values of the

In
In
In
In
In Schritt 360 endet das Verfahren 300.In
