Description
The invention relates to a ship with a gas turbine with a lubricating oil device. The term “ship” is to be interpreted broadly and is also intended to include boats that have a gas turbine.

Some ships of the Bundeswehr, including for example ships of the series frigate 123 and frigate 124, have a hybrid drive, which includes a diesel engine for low and medium speeds and a gas turbine for high speeds.
The gas turbine has a lubricating oil device for lubricating the bearing points. An initial vent line is led from the lubricating oil device into a dirty oil tank in order to discharge a vent gas flow from the lubricating oil device when the gas turbine is in operation. The initial vent line or, alternatively, the dirty oil tank attached to it is connected to a connection vent line that directs the vent gas flow to the outside on the upper deck. If the ship is driven by the gas turbine, moderate to severe oil mist emerges at the vent outlet on the upper deck, especially with higher turbine outputs and greater wear on the seals of the lubricating oil device. This leads to a risk of slipping in the oil-smeared environment. There is also air and water pollution.
The object of the invention is to design a ship with a gas turbine with a lubricating oil device in such a way that, with high functional reliability, no oil mist gases get into the open when the gas turbine is in operation.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of
- • Prevention of the escape of an oil mist due to the coalescer filter.
- • Safe operation of the oil mist separation system due to the throttle opening, the first manometer, the second manometer and the pressure switch.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the oil mist separation system can be switched on via a control device which receives signals from the start-up of the gas turbine and which switches on the oil mist separation system when the gas turbine takes over the propulsion of the ship. This enables automated operation of the oil mist separation system.
