Description
The invention relates to an electrolyte for an electrochemical energy store according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention also relates to a method for producing an electrochemical energy store, an electrochemical energy store and the use of an electrochemical energy store for storing electrical energy.
Hybrid solid-state cells are systems that do not have a conventional separator such as lithium-ion cells, but instead have a ceramic, polymer or polymer-ceramic membrane. This membrane is capable of ion conduction even without the presence of a liquid electrolyte. The ionic conduction then does not take place along the pores within a liquid phase, but directly in the solid. Since the conductivity in different temperature ranges in many material systems is not high enough for use as traction accumulators, for example, hybrid forms of solid-state cells are also used, in which a small amount of a liquid that can act as an electrolyte takes over part of the ionic conductivity. The solid-state membrane here also serves as a protective layer, but in particular continues to serve as ion conduction.
Electrochemical energy stores based on hybrid solid-state cells are known from the prior art.
The object of the present invention is to provide an improved electrolyte for an electrochemical energy store, a method for producing an improved electrochemical energy store, an improved electrochemical energy store and the use of an improved electrochemical energy store for storing electrical energy.
This object is achieved by an electrolyte, a method for producing an electrochemical energy store, an electrochemical energy store and the use of an electrochemical energy store for storing electrical energy according to the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are specified in the subclaims.
A first aspect of the invention relates to an electrolyte for an electrochemical energy store containing at least a first additive, a second additive and a non-aqueous solvent, the second additive (2S) -2,6-diamino-N - [(2S) -1-phenylpropane -2-yl] hexanamide bis (methanesulfonate).
Solutions based on oxolan-2-one are used as liquid electrolytes for hybrid solid-state cells. Oxolan-2-one has the disadvantage that it is rapidly decomposed in existing hybrid solid-state cells at higher voltages. Oxolan-2-one, for example, has a reduced stability towards electrochemical potentials of at least 4.1 V, which is problematic with newer cathode materials, since they reach an electrochemical potential of up to 4.65 V compared to graphite. Compared to graphite anodes, silicon anodes achieve significantly higher energy densities. However, Oxolan-2-one has a high decomposition rate due to contact with anodes based on silicon, since a solid electrolyte interphase is formed with each charge and discharge, which disintegrates again due to corresponding changes in volume during cycling. Anodes based on silicon have safety advantages over lithium metal anodes, for example, since in the event of a thermal overload, no metal fire of the lithium can set in. At the same time, the energy density of silicon anodes is significantly higher than that of graphite anodes. By adding (2S) -2,6-diamino-N - [(2S) -1-phenylpropan-2-yl] hexanamide-bis (methanesulfonate) as an additive, an oxolan-2-one-based liquid electrolyte is created by contact with a Silicon anode decomposes much more slowly, which means that a significantly increased service life of the hybrid solid-state cell can be achieved. A hybrid solid-state cell modified in this way can, for example, run through more than 1200 charging cycles until the remaining storage capacity is 80% of the initial storage capacity. In addition, the internal resistance of the hybrid solid-state cell is significantly reduced. The internal resistance of the hybrid solid-state cell can, for example, starting from 2 mOhm without additive, be reduced to 0.9 mOhm.
