Description
The present invention relates to a current measurement arrangement with thermal insulation.
To measure current flowing through an electrical line, a current sensor in the form of a current transducer can be used. This is a device which converts the current to be measured into a secondary electrical signal correlated with it. In the field of electromobility, current transducers are used, for example, in charging stations or in traction inverters.
Current current transformers have a maximum permissible operating temperature in the range of approximately 125-150 ° C. Although the devices thus remain functional up to their respective maximum operating temperatures, restrictions with regard to the measuring accuracy can be determined even at significantly lower operating temperatures. In the example of an electric vehicle, however, a high measuring accuracy of the current measuring transformers is required in order to meet requirements for driveability and functional safety in an electric vehicle. A current sensor that is in operation is significantly heated by the electrical conductor, the current of which is to be measured therewith, and possibly by the surroundings of the current sensor. In order to increase the accuracy of the current sensor during operation, measures can be taken to expand the usable sensor temperature range. However, these measures are usually associated with high costs.

The object of the present invention is to provide a current measuring arrangement which reacts less sensitively to higher temperatures and, as a result, higher currents which are associated with higher heating of the electrical conductor can be measured relatively precisely.
The object is achieved by means of a current measuring arrangement according to the independent claim. Advantageous configurations result from the dependent patent claims.
According to the invention, a current measuring arrangement is provided which has an electrical conductor and a current sensor arranged thereon, a separating element being arranged between the electrical conductor and the current sensor, so that the current sensor is not in direct contact with the conductor. In other words, the separating element forces a distance between the current sensor and the electrical conductor, the distance-forming spatial region being filled with the material of the separating element. The current sensor can in particular be a current transducer. At least part of the current sensor can completely encompass the electrical conductor and the separating element arranged around it. The separating element can be flat and have an area that corresponds at least to the base area of the current sensor or is larger than this. The current measuring arrangement can represent, for example, a unit which is integrated in an electric vehicle and which is, for example, part of a traction inverter.
When the current measuring arrangement according to the invention is used in an electric vehicle, the performance in one driving cycle can be expanded by optimally using the overall system behavior of the current sensor and the environment. In general, the temperature of a current sensor, which is attached in the vicinity of a current-carrying line, only rises with a delay compared to the ambient or conductor temperature. The idea on which the invention is based is to increase or maximize the time between heating of the conductor and the current sensor. In this way, a higher short-term / peak performance potential of the drive system of an electric vehicle can be achieved, since the current sensor then only reaches its maximum operating temperature at a later point in time. The delay in the time between heating of the conductor and the current sensor is achieved by arranging the separating element between the current-carrying line and the current sensor. The separating element can be an additional component which is arranged between the current sensor and the electrical line. Alternatively, the separating element can be integrated in the sensor assembly or on the electrical conductor. In other words, the current sensor can be on or in it Have integrated separating element, which faces the electrical line when the current sensor is arranged. On the other hand, a separating element can be integrated on the electrical line at least in the area in which the current sensor is arranged on the electrical line, so that the contact area between the current sensor and the electrical line and its local environment is thermally shielded.
In further embodiments of the current measuring arrangement, the separating element can have a thermal insulator (a thermal insulation material). The thermal insulator can be any material that is physically formed or solid from the physical state, in particular not only air, which has a low thermal conductivity. By arranging the thermal insulator between the electrical conductor and the current sensor, the heat transfer from the electrical conductor to the current sensor can be reduced. As a result, the current sensor can be operated for longer at lower operating temperatures, which has a positive effect on the measuring accuracy. In particular, the period of time after which the current sensor is heated to its maximum operating temperature by a high current flow through the electrical conductor can be extended.
In further embodiments of the current measuring arrangement, the thermal insulator can have a layer made of a thermally insulating material, which is arranged around the electrical conductor. This layer can, for example, be formed integrally with the surface or the housing of the electrical conductor or it can be wrapped around the electrical conductor as a separate layer.
In further embodiments of the current measuring arrangement, this can also have a fluid channel. The fluid channel is set up as an active cooling element and can be flowed through by a conditioning medium or cooling medium. By means of the conditioning medium flowing through the fluid channel, the heat which is generated by the current flow in the electrical conductor can be removed from the current measuring arrangement. The fluid channel can have an inlet and an outlet for the conditioning medium. The fluid channel can be arranged around the electrical conductor, which is not to be understood as meaning that the fluid channel must be in direct physical contact with the electrical conductor or its casing. The fluid channel can generally be arranged (viewed in the radial direction of the electrical conductor) between the current sensor and the electrical conductor, so that the heat emitted by the electrical conductor can be dissipated by the conditioning medium and cannot be transferred to the current sensor or only to a very small extent becomes. The fluid channel can thus provide additional thermal shielding.
According to further embodiments of the current measuring arrangement, the fluid channel can be arranged in a spiral around the electrical conductor. The fluid channel can be in contact with the electrical conductor or its casing, or another material layer can be arranged between the electrical conductor or its casing and the fluid channel.
According to a further embodiment of the current measuring arrangement, the fluid channel can be present or embedded in the separating element. The separating element can, so to speak, serve as a carrier matrix for the fluid channel and can be arranged around the electrical conductor. The separating element can have a thermally insulating or a non-thermally insulating material.
According to a further embodiment of the current measuring arrangement, the fluid channel can be arranged between the electrical conductor and the separating element. In this arrangement, the separating element can have a thermally insulating material and the current sensor can rest against the separating element from the outside. As a result, a two-layer thermal insulation can be provided between the current sensor and the electrical conductor, which has the separating element as one layer and the fluid channel (for example its spiral wrap) as the second layer. The separating element can in particular have a thermally insulating material and thus provide additional thermal shielding, which prevents or further reduces the transfer of residual heat between the fluid channel and the current sensor.
According to a further embodiment of the current measuring arrangement, the fluid channel can be arranged between the separating element and the current sensor. In this embodiment, the order in which the fluid channel and the separating element are arranged between the electrical conductor and the current sensor can therefore be reversed compared to the previous embodiment. Here, the separating element can have a thermal insulator and prevent or reduce the heat transfer from the electrical conductor to the fluid channel. As a result, the conditioning medium can be pumped through the fluid channel at a relatively low rate, since only the residual heat that has been transferred through the separating element to the fluid channel has to be dissipated, and not the “primary heat” that arises directly on the current-carrying electrical conductor .
It goes without saying that the features mentioned above and those yet to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified in each case, but also in other combinations or on their own without departing from the scope of the present invention.
