FIGS. 1a and 1b show the construction of a first embodiment of the optoelectronic apparatus 1 according to the invention. The optoelectronic device 1 is designed as a reflection light barrier and has a transmitter 3 emitting light rays 2 and a receiver 5 receiving light rays 4 , which are integrated in a common housing 6 . The transmitter 3 consists of a light emitting diode, the receiver 5 is formed by a photodiode. The optoelectronic device 1 detects objects within a monitoring area, the monitoring area being delimited by a reflector 7 . When the beam path is clear, the transmitted light beams 2 are reflected on the reflector 7 and guided as light beams 4 onto the receiver 5 . An object intervention in the monitoring area leads to an interruption of the beam path of the transmitted light beams 2 and 4 received light beams.
To avoid false detections, the transmitter 3 is followed by a first polarization filter 8 and the receiver 5 is preceded by a second polarization filter 9 . The directions of polarization of the polarization filters 8 , 9 are rotated 90 ° relative to one another.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1a and 1b, the housing 6 is formed spherically. The housing 6 consists of two injection molded plastic parts. The first plastic injection molded part consists of non-transparent plastic and forms the back of the housing 6 .
This rear part of the housing 6 forms a connector half-shell 10 and has a receptacle for a connector 11 , which is used for the electrical connection of the optoelectronic device 1 . The second plastic injection molded part, as an optical half shell 12, forms a transparent segment of the housing 6 and accordingly consists of transparent plastic. The two molded plastic parts each have the shape of spherical half-shells. The two Ku half shells are locked together and thus form the spherical housing Ge 6th
The transparent segment forming the front of the housing 6 forms the optical components of the optoelectronic device 1 , by means of which the beam light beams 2 are shaped and the received light beams 4 are focused on the receiver 5 .
A shielding element 13 is provided for the optical separation of the transmitted light beams 2 and received light beams 4 within the housing 6 . From the shield element 13 is arranged in the interior of the housing 6 and extends over the entire cross-sectional area of the housing interior.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1a and 1b, the plane of the plate-shaped shielding element 13 extends in the vertical direction and divides the interior of the housing 6 into two identical subspaces. The transmitter 3 and the receiver 5 are arranged on both sides of the shielding element 13 , so that the transmitted light rays 2 and received light rays 4 run separately through the shielding element 13 in different subspaces of the housing 6 .
In the present case, the shielding element 13 consists of a printed circuit board 14 on which the electronic components of the optoelectronic device 1 are integrated. The printed circuit boards 14 with the electronic components arranged thereon form an electronic assembly.
Die Anzeige-Leuchtdioden 15 dienen zur Anzeige des Betriebszustandes der optoelektronischen Vorrichtung 1.On the circuit board 14 , display LEDs 15 are also arranged, which are visible through the optics half-shell 12 from the outside of the housing 6 . The display LEDs 15 serve to display the operating state of the optoelectronic device 1 .
The circuit board 14 can be fixed in guide grooves 16 , 16 'on the inside of the housing 6 . One of these guide grooves 16 is formed by a recess in the optical half-shell 12 . From both sides of the recess adjoining sections of the optical half-shell 12 form lenses, a lens for beam formation of the transmitted light beams 2 and a lens for focusing the received light beams 4 . The sections of the optical half-shell 12 forming the lenses are of identical design. The inner wall of the optical half-shell 12 is beveled so that the wall thickness of the optical half-shell 12 for the recess in which the circuit board 14 is mounted is continuously widened, whereby the lens effect of the optical half-shell 12 is obtained. The transmitter 3 and the receiver 5 are positioned so that they are in the focal points of these lenses.
FIG. 2 shows a block diagram of the optoelectronic device 1 according to FIGS. 1a and 1b. The transmitter 3 is directly connected to an evaluation unit 17 and is controlled by it. The receiver 5 is connected to the evaluation unit 17 via an amplifier 18 . The received signals at the output of the receiver 5 are amplified in the amplifier 18 and read into the evaluation unit 17 . A binary switching signal is generated in the evaluation unit 17 by the evaluation of the received signals and is output via a switching output 19 . When the beam is free, the transmitted light beams 2 hit the reflector 7 and are guided from there as the reception light beams 4 to the receiver 5 , as shown in FIG. 2. Accordingly, the switching signal assumes a switching state corresponding to this free beam path "off". In the event of an object intervention, the beam path of the transmitted light beams 2 is interrupted. The switching state then correspondingly assumes a switching state corresponding to an object detection "on". The evaluation unit 17 is preferably formed by a microcontroller or an ASIC and, like the amplifier 18, forms an electronic component of the electronics module.
Alternatively, the circuit board 14 can be glued into the housing 6 . In this case, the printed circuit board 14 additionally takes on the function of a housing base.
The housing 6 has the shape of a hemisphere in the present case. Ana log FIGS according to the embodiment. 1a and 1b, there is a Ge housing 6 of the opto-electronic device 1 according to FIGS. 5a and 5b of a transparent optical half-shell 12 and a half-shell of a non-transparent plug 10, each consisting of injection molded plastic parts and which together can be locked. To reduce the influence of extraneous light, a non-transparent cover 25 is provided in the interior of the housing 6 . The cover 25 can be designed as a coating or film.
The shielding element 13 is formed within the housing 6 analogously to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS . 1a and 1b and is arranged accordingly; so that the transmitter 3 and the receiver 5 are on both sides of the shielding elements 13 . In the present case, the shielding element 13 consists of a separating web. The separating web preferably consists of a further, non-transparent injection molded plastic part. It serves to optically separate the transmitted light beams 2 and received light beams 4 and at the same time ensures that the housing 6 is stabilized.
The front parts of the optical half-shell 12 in turn form lenses for beam shaping of the transmitted light beams 2 and for focusing the received light beams 4 . The design of the front wall of the optical half-shell 12 and the arrangement of the shielding element 13 relative to this is chosen analogously to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1a and 1b.
As can be seen from FIGS . 5a and 5b, the reflector 7 of the optoelectronic device 1 is arranged in a further housing 6 ', which has the same structure as the housing 6 for receiving the transmitter 3 and the receiver 5 of the optoelectronic device 1 . In contrast to the housing 6 with the transmitter 3 and receiver 5 , the bottom of the housing 6 'consists of a plastic plate 26 . The optoelectronic device 1 according to FIGS. 5a and 5b, like the optoelectronic device 1 according to FIGS. 1a and 1b, has a small number of individual components and can be assembled with a small number of assembly steps. It is particularly advantageous that the circuit board 14 can be fixed to the open underside of the housing 6 with a single assembly step.
The embodiment of the optoelectronic device 1 according to FIGS. 5a and 5b is particularly suitable for applications in which the optoelectronic device 1 with the two housings 6 , 6 'are to be mounted on a flat mounting surface 24 .
