Description
The invention relates to an organic electronic component, a use of a sulfonylimide and a sulfonylimide.
In organic electronic devices, such as organic light emitting diodes, so-called charge transporting and / or charge injecting layers are needed to ensure stable charge transport. In this case, both hole transport layers and / or hole injection layers and also electron transport layers and / or electron injection layers are used. To increase the efficiency of the devices, the organic matrix materials used in the charge transporting layers are often doped with additional compounds that enhance charge transport. Thus, hole transport layers and / or hole injection layers are often mixed with metals or metal complexes as so-called p-dopants. Particularly in the case of organic light-emitting diodes, the luminescence, the efficiency and the lifetime depend very strongly on the exciton density (electron hole density) in the light-emitting layer, so that efficient electron and hole transport from the electrodes into the light-emitting layer is required.
At least one object of certain embodiments is to provide an efficient organic electronic device. Other objects are to provide a use of a sulfonylimide as a p-type dopant and a sulfonylimide.
These objects are achieved by articles according to the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the objects are characterized in the dependent claims and furthermore emerge from the following description and the figures.

It is possible for the alkyl radical, the aryl radical or the arylalkyl radical to be substituted by further substituents in addition to the at least one electron-withdrawing radical.
An organic electronic component is specified. It is possible for the alkyl radical, the aryl radical or the arylalkyl radical to be substituted by further substituents in addition to the at least one electron-withdrawing radical.
Here and below, an organic layer is understood as meaning a layer which contains only organic compounds or consists only of organic compounds. In other words, the organic layer contains no inorganic compounds.
in which
- R '' = H, alkyl, OH, Oalkyl, SH, alkyl or Hal and
- - Hal = F, Cl, Br or I. In the context of the definition of R ", alkyl means in particular alkyl = CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , CH (CH 3 ) 2 or CH 2 CH 2 CH 3 .
In accordance with at least one embodiment, the organic layer is a hole injection layer and / or hole transport layer, which is arranged above an anode in the organic component. Preferably, the hole injection layer is in direct mechanical and electrical contact with the anode. The hole injection layer particularly preferably completely or completely covers the anode. A main task of the organic layer is therefore to inject and / or transport holes, ie positive charge carriers. An organic layer, referred to herein as a hole injection layer, is characterized in particular by its ability to transport holes and to inject them into adjacent layers.
In accordance with at least one embodiment, the device comprises an anode and the organic layer is formed as a hole injection layer and is arranged in direct mechanical and electrical contact with the anode.
According to at least one embodiment, the organic electronic component is formed as an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and comprises an anode and a light-emitting layer, wherein the organic layer is formed as a hole injection layer and / or hole transport layer and is arranged between the anode and the light-emitting layer.
The fact that a layer "is arranged between two other layers" can mean here and in the following that the one layer is directly in direct mechanical and / or electrical contact or in indirect contact with one of the two other layers and in direct mechanical and / or electrical Contact or electrical or in indirect contact with other layers is arranged. In the case of indirect contact, further layers can then be arranged between the one and at least one of the two other layers.
In accordance with at least one embodiment, the organic layer comprises an organic matrix material, and the sulfonylimide acts as a p-type dopant with respect to the organic matrix material. In other words, the organic matrix material is p-doped with the sulfonyl imide.
For the purposes of the present invention, the term "p-type dopant" includes or means in particular a material which has a Lewis acidity with regard to the organic matrix material and / or is capable of forming bonds, in particular covalent bonds, with the organic matrix material this material (if only formally) acts as a Lewis acid. In particular, the organic matrix material is a hole-transporting organic matrix material. The hole-transporting property of the organic matrix material is advantageously enhanced or enhanced by the p-type dopant.
Surprisingly, sulfonylimides of the formula I exhibit a p-type doping effect, so that the hole transport and / or the hole injection of an organic matrix material which is p-doped with the sulfonyl imide can be considerably increased during the operation of an organic electronic component.
The electron-withdrawing groups EZ have a strong electron-withdrawing effect due to their electronegativity. This is important for the adaptation of the electronic properties of the sulfonylimide. In particular, the substitution of the sulfonylimide with electron-withdrawing groups EZ is an electron-deficient compound and thus a Lewis acid.
In one embodiment, the sulfonylimide, and thus the p-type dopant, acts as an electron acceptor with respect to the organic matrix material. As a result, electron density is subtracted from the organic matrix material by the sulfonylimide and localized on the sulfonyl imide. In the organic matrix material, a positive charge or a positive charge partial charge arises. Due to the reduced electron density in the organic matrix material and the thus increased number of positive charge carriers (holes, holes) its ability in the operation of the device to transport holes or injected, considerably increased.

In one embodiment, the degree of doping in volume percent of the p-type dopant based on the volume of the organic matrix material is between 1 vol% and 30 vol% inclusive. This has proved to be expedient, in particular for a hole injection or hole transport layer. Preferably, the doping level is between 1% inclusive and 20% inclusive, more preferably between 1% inclusive and 10% inclusive.
The degree of doping can be adapted to the charge transport required for the component. In the case of devices, especially organic light emitting diodes, balanced charge transport is important, that is, there must be a balance between electrons and holes. To generate light in a light-emitting layer of an organic light-emitting diode, for example, an exciton formed of a hole and an electron is necessary for the emission of light, so that as many as possible electrons and holes should be present in the light-emitting layer to obtain efficient component. The lifetime of the component can also be improved by a good charge balance, since excess charge carriers (for example holes) can lead to degradation, for example due to oxidation, of the materials.

- 1. Synthesis under argon: Into a 500 ml Schlenk one-necked flask, weigh 10.2 g (61 mmol, 2.2 eqv) of 4-fluorophenylsulfonyl chloride and dissolve in 200 ml of dried dichloromethane. After connection to a reflux condenser, 2.36 ml (2.41 g, 26 mmol, 1.0 eqv) of aniline and 11 ml of triethylamine are added, and the solution is refluxed for 24 hours.
- 2. Work up in air: After cooling, the solution is mixed with the same amount of water and shaken well. The organic phase is separated and dried over Na 2 SO 4 . Then the solvent dichloromethane is removed. A white to yellowish solid is obtained. The crude substance obtained can then be purified by column chromatography or sublimation:
- 3a. Purification of the crude substance by column chromatography: Use of silica gel 60 (neutral) as the stationary phase and an ethyl acetate / petroleum ether mixture (ratio 1: 1) as the mobile phase. The N, N-bis (4-fluorophenylsulfonyl) aniline is thereby freed from by-products.
- 3b. Purification by sublimation: The crude substance is sublimated at 140-230 ° C in a high vacuum until no residue remains in the crucible.
