For the purposes of the present application, "oxidisable constituents" are understood in particular to be volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Such components may not be released into the environment without further ado, since they are potentially harmful. Therefore, devices in which such components are produced are typically provided with a post-treatment which is suitable for removing said components from a respective exhaust gas volume flow.
For the purposes of the present application, an "adsorbent" is understood to mean a device which is suitable for adsorbing oxidizable constituents present in the crude gas volume flow. The oxidizable constituents may adsorbed on the surface of the adsorbent due to van der Waals forces. In this way, a purification of the respective raw gas volume flow is achieved, which is passed over the adsorbent or on the adsorbent along.
For the purposes of the present application, an "adsorption zone" of the adsorbent is understood to mean a region of the adsorbent which is suitable for this and is used to adsorb oxidisable constituents. It is understood that the adsorption of oxidizable constituents on the adsorbent can not be made ad infinitum, but regularly have to be desorbed the adsorbed on the adsorbent oxidizable constituents. The adsorbent must consequently be "regenerated" to a certain extent in order to reliably carry out its purifying effect on the raw gas volume flow. The adsorption zone can therefore readily change or migrate readily on the adsorbent as such. In particular, a region of the adsorbent which has been "purified" of the oxidizable constituents by means of the desorption volumetric flow can henceforth be used again as the adsorption zone. A region of the adsorbent, which is acted upon by the desorption volume, can be described analogously as "desorption zone". A known in the art and particularly useful technical implementation for continuous loading and unloading of the adsorbent with oxidizable constituents consists in the execution of the adsorbent in the form of a rotor, which rotates, for example cyclically or steadily, about an axis of rotation. The crude gas line and the Desorptionsgasleitung remain while stationary. In this embodiment, a part of the rotor cooperating with the raw gas line always forms the adsorption zone, while the part of the rotor cooperating with the desorption gas line forms the desorption zone. It is understood that other implementations are readily imaginable. In any case, the technical implementation of the adsorbent is not critical to the success of the present invention.
The difference between a raw gas volume flow and a clean gas volume flow in the context of the present application is that there is a lower concentration of oxidizable components in the clean gas volume flow than in the raw gas volume flow. It is basically irrelevant in which way the oxidizable constituents are removed or removed from the raw gas volume flow. Furthermore, the clean gas volume flow usually refers to one whose concentration of oxidizable constituents is so low that respective applicable immission control laws and immission control standards are complied with.
For the purposes of the present application, the term "desorption volumetric flow" is understood to mean a gaseous volumetric flow which is suitable for desorbing oxidizable constituents of the same deposited on the adsorbent. In this way, the adsorbent is "cleaned", so that it is continuously suitable for the absorption of oxidizable constituents from a raw gas volume flow. As a result of the desorption, the desorption volumetric flow has a markedly increased concentration of oxidizable constituents, said concentration typically being several times greater than in the crude gas volumetric flow.
For the purposes of the present application, a "gas turbine" can be understood as meaning in particular so-called micro gas turbines which are particularly well suited for the treatment of crude gas volume flows in combination with an adsorbent. A gas turbine typically includes a compressor arranged with a turbine on a common shaft. Also can be connected to this wave, a generator by means of which electrical power can be generated. The shaft is driven by the turbine, which in turn drives both the compressor and the generator. Furthermore, such a gas turbine typically comprises at least one combustion chamber, in which a respective combustion fuel, in particular a gas, can be burned. A resulting expansion of the fuel gas can then relax in the turbine, whereby the latter is driven.
In the context of the present application, the "turbine exhaust gas volume flow" finally denotes the volume flow which leaves the latter after treatment of the desorption volume flow by means of the gas turbine.

The known techniques have the disadvantage that a reliable treatment of the desorption volume flow by means of a gas turbine can not always be guaranteed. As a result, the turbine exhaust gas volume flow leaving the gas turbine sometimes still has a residual concentration of oxidisable constituents that are incompatible with the applicable immission control limits.
Aufgabetask
Accordingly, the present invention has for its object to provide an apparatus and a method in which a treatment of the Desorptionsvolumenstroms takes place reliably.
- e) The turbine exhaust gas volume flow is at least partially, preferably completely, passed to an adsorption zone of the adsorbent.
In particular, it is conceivable that the turbine exhaust gas volume flow indirectly or directly is passed to the adsorption zone of the adsorbent. In a case where the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow is passed directly to the adsorption zone, any residual oxidizable constituents contained in the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow may be adsorbed by the adsorbent at least to the extent that the emission control limits are complied with. The treated by means of the adsorbent again turbine exhaust gas volume flow is thus converted into a clean gas flow and can be discharged easily into the environment.
In a case in which the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is indirectly fed to the adsorbent, it is conceivable, in particular, to supply the turbine exhaust gas volume flow to the raw gas volume flow, so that both volume flows mix with one another before they are passed to the adsorption zone to the adsorbent. As a result, the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow, so to speak, again passes through the entire treatment of the crude gas volumetric flow.
The method according to the invention has many advantages. In particular, it allows the treatment of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow by means of the adsorbent, to release in the result only such exhaust gas in the environment that is loaded at most with the maximum permissible concentration of oxidizable constituents. In this way, the in the prior art regularly complained of insufficient treatment quality of Desorptionsvolumenstroms means of a gas turbine is significantly improved, so that immission control limits can be maintained permanently and reliably.
In an advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is cooled before it is fed to the adsorption zone of the adsorbent. For this purpose, it should be explained that the adsorption of oxidizable constituents usually only works reliably if the temperature of the respective crude gas volume flow which is conducted onto the adsorbent is comparatively low.
In particular, the temperature of the gas volume flow conducted to the adsorbent should be less than 30 ° C. At the same time, it goes without saying that the turbine exhaust gas leaving the gas turbine has a comparatively high temperature, for example in the region of approximately 300 ° C. Prior to the supply of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow to the adsorption of the adsorbent, it is accordingly advantageous if the temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is significantly reduced. For example, the temperature can be lowered by means of a heat recovery system, wherein the excess waste heat of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow can be fed to a meaningful use. In this way, the temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow can generally be reduced to well below 200 ° C.
For the supply of such a turbine exhaust gas volume flow to the adsorbent, it is particularly advantageous if it is first mixed with the "normal" Rohgasvolumenstrom, preferably wherein the volume fraction of Rohgasvolumenstroms significantly exceeds that of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow, in particular at least by a factor of 10. In this way, the With regard to the adsorption of the oxidizable constituents, high turbine exhaust gas volume flow is still to a certain extent "diluted" so that ultimately a reliable adsorption of the oxidizable constituents of the then mixed crude gas volume flow to the adsorbent can take place.
Furthermore, the method according to the invention can be particularly advantageous when the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is at least partially used to heat the desorption volume flow. It should be explained that it is necessary for an effective desorption of the oxidizable constituents of the adsorbent that the desorption volume flow has a certain minimum temperature. For example, the temperature of the Desorptionsvolumenstroms be in about 200 ° C. In this temperature range, the oxidizable constituents which accumulate on the adsorbent are desorbed from the same and dissolved in the desorption volume flow. The latter then has, after flowing through the desorption zone of the adsorbent, an increased concentration of oxidisable constituents, so that a thermal treatment of the desorption volumetric flow is worthwhile.
As already explained above, the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow typically has a greatly increased temperature after it leaves the gas turbine. Since the desorption volume flow can be formed particularly easily from a portion of the crude gas volume flow, the increased temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is particularly well applicable to significantly increase the relatively low temperature of the diverted, intended for use as Desorptionsvolumenstrom portion of Rohgasvolumenstroms and in this way its suitability for desorption the oxidizable components of the adsorbent bring about. The heating of the desorption volumetric flow can furthermore be advantageous insofar as it necessarily involves lowering the temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow. As explained above, this is in view of the renewed supply of the Turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow to the adsorbent advantageous so that remaining oxidizable constituents contained in the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow can be adsorbed by the adsorbent.
To transfer the heat energy from the turbine exhaust gas volume flow to the desorption volume flow, it may be particularly advantageous to feed both volume flows to a heat exchanger. In the course of the flow through the heat exchanger both with the turbine exhaust gas volume flow and the desorption volume flow, the energy levels of the two volume flows endeavor to align themselves. As a result, the desorption volumetric flow is heated and the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow is cooled.
Alternatively to the use of a heat exchanger, it may also be advantageous to supply at least part of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow directly to the desorption volume flow, so that the two volume flows mix with one another. In other words, this approach effectively forms a modified desorption volume flow, which is formed in part by the original desorption volume flow and in part by at least a portion of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow. It is understood that even with this procedure, the temperature of the modified Desorptionsvolumenstroms is ultimately higher than that of the original Desorptionsvolumenstroms, since the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow has a higher temperature than the original Desorptionsvolumenstrom.
It is also conceivable that no "original desorption volume flow" is provided, but that the desorption volume flow is ultimately completely formed by at least part of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow. In this procedure, at least a portion of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow is passed directly to the desorption zone of the adsorbent, wherein a temperature of the desorption volumetric flow thus formed is advantageously in the range of about 200 ° C.
In order to be able to influence the temperature of the desorption volume flow in the last-mentioned variant, it may be particularly advantageous to provide the turbine exhaust gas line, by means of which the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is derived from the gas turbine, with a fresh air supply. In this way, fresh air can be mixed with the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow as required, as a result of which the temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow-and thus of the desorption volumetric flow-can be regulated. In particular, it is conceivable to continuously monitor the temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow by means of a temperature measuring unit, wherein a valve which controls the supply of fresh air to the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is automatically controlled as a function of the measured temperature.
Based on the device of the type described above, the underlying object is achieved by at least one recirculation line, by means of which at least a portion of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is at least indirectly on the adsorption of the adsorbent can be conducted.
For the purposes of the present application, a "recirculation line" is understood to be a line which is connected at least indirectly, preferably directly, to the turbine exhaust gas line and at least indirectly, preferably directly, to the adsorption zone of the adsorbent. In this way, the recirculation line is suitable for supplying at least part of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow, preferably the entire turbine exhaust gas volume flow, to the adsorption zone of the adsorbent so that oxidisable constituents of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow can be adsorbed by means of the adsorbent.
The device according to the invention is particularly well suited to carry out the method according to the invention. The resulting advantages are already explained above.
In an advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention, the recirculation line is connected directly to the crude gas line, so that the turbine exhaust gas volume flow is first mixed with the raw gas volume flow before it is fed to the adsorbent. This procedure, as explained above, is advantageous in view of a desirable temperature of the gas volume flow reaching the adsorbent, so that effective adsorption of the oxidizable constituents can take place.
Also with the aim of manipulating the temperature of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow, it may be additionally or alternatively advantageous to equip the device with a temperature treatment device. This is suitable for cooling at least that part of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow which is to be recirculated by means of the recirculation line to the adsorption zone of the adsorbent. In particular, the use of a heat recovery system is advantageous as a temperature treatment device in order to profitably continue to use the excess waste heat of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention, this comprises at least one bypass line, by means of which at least part of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow can be branched off from the turbine exhaust gas line. A branched-off part of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow can be used particularly well in the process flow due to its comparatively high temperature in order to influence the temperature of the desorption volumetric flow. As explained above, this may be particularly advantageous since the desorption of the oxidizable constituents from the adsorbent presupposes a certain temperature of the desorption volumetric flow.
In particular, it can be advantageous if the bypass line is fluidically connected to a heat exchanger, to which, in addition to the turbine exhaust gas volume flow, the desorption volume flow can also be supplied. By gathering both the turbine exhaust gas volume flow and the desorption volume flow into the heat exchanger, the thermal energy of the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow is transferred to the desorption volumetric flow.
Likewise, it is conceivable that the bypass line is fluidically connected to a mixing device, by means of which a branched off from the turbine exhaust gas volume fraction thereof can be mixed with the desorption volume flow. It is understood that for this purpose, the desorption gas line must be connected to the mixing device. The "admixture" of the comparatively hot turbine exhaust gas volume flow to the desorption volume flow ultimately raises the temperature of the latter.
Alternatively, it is also conceivable that the bypass line directly forms the desorption gas line, that is, the desorption volume flow is completely formed by the diverted part of the turbine exhaust gas volume flow. In order to be able to influence a temperature of the desorption volume flow in such an embodiment, it may be of particular advantage to equip the device with at least one fresh air supply. This is to be connected either to the turbine exhaust gas line or to the bypass line / desorption gas line, so that a fresh air volume flow can be supplied to the turbine exhaust gas volume flow or the desorption volume flow (before the line to the desorption zone of the adsorbent). By mixing the fresh air volume flow with the turbine exhaust gas volumetric flow, the temperature of the latter (and consequently the temperature of the desorption volumetric flow) is ultimately reduced.
