Abstract
A device and a method for measuring the properties of an electromagnetic transmission path (I1, I2, I3, I4) and / or objects (O) within it are proposed in which a transmitter (H) sends into the transmission path and a receiver ( D) receives the signal summing together with that of a compensation transmitter (K). Both the signal of the compensation transmitter (K) and the signal of the transmitter (H) are modulated with two clock signals (clk1, clk2) instead of a clock signal as already known in the prior art. The particular choice of the two clock signals (clk1, clk2) disclosed herein ensures that both are orthogonal with respect to the scalar product formed in the demodulation. The scalar product formation is synchronized by the first clock signal (clk1) loading the digitized scalar product value into a flip-flop (FF) in synchronism with its falling or rising edge. Preferably, the clock period of the first clock signal (clk1) is an even integer multiple of the clock period of the second clock signal (clk2).

This control principle is referred to below as "old HALIOS ® principle". The combinations of the patents mentioned in this disclosure with the technical teaching disclosed herein are part of this disclosure.
A second amplifier (V2) generates the transmit signal (S5) from the transmit bias signal (S5v) and typically supplies electrical power to the transmitter (H). A third amplifier (V3) generates the compensation signal (S3) from the compensation bias signal (S3v) and typically supplies the compensation transmitter (K) with electrical energy. In this way, either the transmitter (H) or the compensation transmitter (K) with the base transmission signal (S50) of the generator (G) are modulated, wherein the control signal (S4) determines which of these two transmitters (K, H) is currently transmitting and thereby modulated , The transmitter (H) irradiates now, as described above, via a first transmission path (I1) the object (O) with the modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i). This object (O) now reflects and / or transmits the irradiated electromagnetic radiation into a second transmission path (I2). From the prior art it is known that both a measurement of the properties of the transmission path (I1, I2) or of parts thereof, as well as a measurement of object properties of the object (O) is possible. The compensation transmitter (K) radiates into a, known in most cases, third transmission line (I3). Such a device is typically arranged so that the transmitter (H) can not radiate directly into the receiver (D) and the compensation transmitter (K) can irradiate as exclusively as possible directly into the receiver (D). For optimum adjustment of the operating point, the electromagnetic radiation of the compensation transmitter (K) in the third transmission path (I3) is typically weakened so that the compensation transmitter (K) can operate in the same electrical and electromagnetic operating point as the transmitter (H). Preferably, the attenuation in the third transmission path (I3) is dimensioned such that this weakening occurs with a weakening of the electromagnetic radiation of the transmitter (H) in the first and second transmission path (I1, I2) and by a typical object occurring for the intended application ( O) matches. The electromagnetic radiation of the transmitter (H) and the compensation transmitter (K) are respectively received after passing through their respective transmission links (I1, I2, I3) in the receiver (D), as mentioned, superimposed. This generates a receiver output signal (S0). Through a filter, which is preferably a band-pass filter (BP), the reception is restricted to the frequency spectrum of the modulation of the base transmission signal (S50). This is for example a damping of the influence of, for example, noise levels due to sun exposure in optical applications or by other extraneous emitters. This may still result in errors despite subsequent signal processing due to nonlinearities, otherwise without such filtering (BP). The output of the filter (BP), the filtered receiver output (S1), is then amplified to the amplified receiver output (S2) by a first amplifier (V1). It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that filter (BP) and first amplifier (V1) can be implemented as one unit. Particularly preferably, the amplified receiver output signal (S3) is a differential signal. In a first multiplier (M1), the amplified receiver output signal (S2) is multiplied by the base transmission signal (S50) to the first composite signal (S6) and thereby mixed. In the case of a differential, amplified receiver output signal (S2), this can be done by exchanging or not interchanging the two lines of the Differential, amplified receiver output signal (S2) in dependence on the logic state of the base transmission signal (S50) done. This would then correspond to a multiplication by -1 and 1. In the following, a multiplication by 0 and 1 is also described. A sign generator (VG) generates a sign signal (S4i) indicating the sign of the control signal (S4). With this sign signal (S4i), the mixing signal (S7) is multiplied in a second multiplier (M2) to the demodulated receiver output signal (S7). This can also be done with a differential signal by swapping the two lines of the differential signal. A first filter (F1) filters the demodulated receiver output signal (S7) to the control reference signal (S8). Typically, the first filter (F1) is a simple integrator, a low pass, or a bandpass that passes only the frequencies of interest. A comparator or analog-to-digital converter (ADC) converts the control pre-signal (S8) to the digital control pre-signal (S9). In a delay stage (FF), the digital control header signal (S9) is delayed by one clock of the base send signal (S50) to the control signal (S4). The control signal (S4) represents the measured value as a serial delta-sigma data stream.

Another problem is that the band-pass average value of the bandpass (BP) in the analogue amplifier path depends on the current pulse ratio of the two transmission channels. As a result, it is very difficult to have the system paused without interruption for a while, which experience has shown is regularly the case in applications. When the integrator (first filter F1) is stopped, the information which transmitter (H, K) is to pulse is missing. The bandpass mean value of the bandpass (BP) changes and thus also the pulse height to be integrated.
A need for pausing arises e.g. in the case of a disturbance of the reference voltage by other measurements carried out in parallel through the same integrated circuit, as part of which the device according to the invention is possibly realized.

Instead of a multiplication of the transmission clock in the form of the previous base transmission signal (S50) on the one hand with the control signal (S4) on the other hand, it is now proposed to the send clock in the form of a first clock signal (clk1) with a second clock signal (CLK2) and with the control signal (S4) mix and preferably multiply.
Here, the definition of the first clock signal (clk1) and the second clock signal (clk2) is important. For example, it is possible, on the one hand, to define the clock signals (clk1, clk2) as symmetrical clock signals around the 0 value. On the other hand, it is possible to regard the first and second clock signal as fluctuating between 0 and a maximum amplitude-for example 1. Depending on the level definition of the signals, the position of the inverting amplifier or the inverter in the signal path and the use of the original signal or of the signal complementary to the original signal may need to be adjusted. For this purpose, two examples are given below.
Fall I: clk1 und clk2 zwischen -1 und +1Case I: clk1 and clk2 between -1 and +1
First, a first example is treated with a first clock signal (clk1) and a second clock signal (clk2) in which these clock signals (clk1, clk2) fluctuate between -1 and +1.
The mixing on the side of the transmitter (H) takes place in this case I with a first clock signal (clk1q) which is complementary to the first clock signal (clk1) and which can be generated, for example, by inverting the first clock signal (clk1) and with one to the second clock signal (clk2) complementary second clock signal (clk2q), which can be generated for example by inverting the second clock signal (clk2). The mixture on the side of the compensation transmitter (K) now takes place oppositely not with the complementary first clock signal (clk1q) and the complementary second clock signal (clk2q) on the side of the transmission signal but with the first clock signal (clk1) and the second clock signal (clk2 ). As a result, the transmitter (H) always transmits when the compensation transmitter (K) does not transmit and vice versa. The first period duration (T 1 ) of the first clock signal (clk1) is different from the second period duration (T 2 ) of the second clock signal (clk2). It is particularly preferred and advantageous if the first period (T 1 ) is an even multiple of the second period (T 2 ). As a result, in addition to the useful signal at f = 0 Hz, four satellite bands-two in the negative frequency range and two in the positive frequency range -are frequency-wise formed on the measurement signal which is sent into the first transmission link. After receiving a corresponding two-stage demodulation. Is the magnitude of the frequency (1 / T 2 ) of the second clock signal (clk2) an integer, preferably an even factor increased multiple of the magnitude of the frequency of the first clock signal (clk1), and is the duty cycle of the second clock signal (clk2) 50%, this additional modulation with the increased clock frequency eliminates significant portions of the low-frequency noise. In particular, noise (SR) having a frequency corresponding to the first clock frequency (1 / T 1 ) used for sampling the output of the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) by means of a flip-flop (FF), for example shifted the multiplication with the second clock frequency (1 / T 2 ) in a different frequency range and are thus no longer effective for the scan.
Fall II: clk1 und clk2 zwischen 0 und +1Case II: clk1 and clk2 between 0 and +1
Now, a second example is treated with a first clock signal (clk1) and a second clock signal (clk2) in which these clock signals (clk1, clk2) fluctuate between 0 and +1 instead of between -1 and 1.
The modulation with a first clock signal (clk1) with a first frequency (1 / T 1 ) and a second clock signal (clk2) with a second frequency (1 / T 2 ) with preferably T 1 = 2 * n * T 2 is the decisive one inventive idea, which is not known in any prior art from the prior art.
The invention can thus be summarized for the case I (clk1 and clk2 levels between -1 and 1) with respect to the transmitting side so that the transmission signal (S5) with a band-limited clock signal (clk1 × ckl2) multiplied by the control signal (S4) is modulated , The compensation transmission signal (S3) is modulated with the corresponding complementary band-limited clock signal (clk1q × ckl2q). The band-limited clock signal (clk1 × ckl2) preferably has an absolute lower limit frequency ω u and a magnitude upper limit frequency ω o with a magnitude frequency bandwidth Δω = ω ο -ω u and an absolute average frequency ω m = Δω) / 2 + ω u ,
The invention can be summarized for the case II (clk1 and clk2 levels between 0 and 1) with respect to the transmitting side so that the transmission signal (S5) with a first band-limited clock signal (clk1q × ckl2) is modulated, for example, by multiplication of the complementary first clock signal (clk1q) is generated with the second clock signal (clk2) and simultaneously multiplied by a complementary control signal (S4q). The compensation transmission signal (S3) is modulated with the corresponding second band-limited clock signal (clk1 × ckl2), which is generated for example by multiplication of the first clock signal (clk1) with the second clock signal (clk2) and simultaneously multiplied by a complementary control signal (S4q) , The first band-limited clock signal (clk1q × ckl2) and the second band-limited clock signal (clk1 × ckl2) preferably have a common lower absolute limit frequency ω u and a typically common absolute upper limit frequency ω o with a typically common magnitude frequency bandwidth Δω = ω ο - ω u and a typical common average frequency ω m = Δω) / 2 + ω u .
This condition also expediently applies to the complementary clock signals (clklq, clk2q) or to the complementary bandwidth-limited clock signal (clk1q × clk2q).
Vorteil der ErfindungAdvantage of the invention
Such an optical measuring system makes it possible, at least in some implementations, to significantly reduce the sensitivity of an optical measuring system to interfering signals and EMC radiation. The advantages are not limited to this.
Die Verbesserung bezieht sich auch auf eine gestörte physikalische MessgrößeThe sensitivity to interference with the receiver (D) (SR) is thus considerably reduced in the device according to the invention. The improvement also relates to a disturbed physical quantity

Thus, for the first, a method is proposed for measuring the properties of at least one electromagnetic transmission path and / or an object (O) within at least one electromagnetic transmission path (I1, I2, I3, I4). The procedure does not necessarily have to be applied permanently. It is sufficient if the method is only used during a period of observation.
- 1. Erzeugen eines ersten Taktsignals (clk1) mit einer ersten Taktperiode (T1);
- 3. Mischen, insbesondere Multiplizieren, des ersten Taktsignals (clk1) und des zweiten Taktsignals (clk2) mit einem Regelsignal (S4), das den späteren Messwert darstellt, zu einem Kompensationsvorsignal (S3v);
- 4. Im Fall I (z.B.
Signalpegel zwischen 0 und 1,3 ) das Mischen, insbesondere Multiplizieren, des zuvor in einem ersten Inverter (INV1) zu einem komplementären ersten Taktsignal (clk1q) invertierten ersten Taktsignals (clk1) und des zweiten Taktsignals (clk2) mit dem in einem vierten Inverter (INV4) zum komplementären Regelsignal (S4q) modifizierten Regelsignals (S4) zu einem Sendevorsignal (S5v); - 6. Erzeugen eines modulierten Sendesignals (S5) mit einer zumindest im Betrachtungszeitraum konstanten ersten Modulationsamplitude in Abhängigkeit vom Sendevorsignal (S5v);
- 7. Erzeugen eines modulierten Kompensationssignals (S3) in Abhängigkeit vom Kompensationsvorsignal (S3v), das im Vergleich zum Sendesignal (S5) eine von der ersten Modulationsamplitude abweichende zweite Modulationsamplitude aufweisen kann, die im Betrachtungszeitraum konstant ist;
- 8. Aussenden eines modulierten elektromagnetischen Sendesignals (S5i) durch einen Sender (H) in die erste Übertragungsstrecke (I1), wobei die Signalintensität (Signalenergie) dieses modulierten elektromagnetischen Sendesignals (S5i) mit dem Sendesignal (S5) in der Form korreliert, dass zumindest Anteile des ausgesendeten, modulierten elektromagnetischen Sendesignals (S5i) in einem Betrachtungszeitraum, der mehrere Pulse des Sendesignals (S5) umfasst, proportional zum Sendesignal (S5) sind;
- 9. Aussenden eines elektromagnetischen modulierten Kompensationssignals (S3i) durch einen Kompensationssender (K) in die dritte Übertragungsstrecke (I3), wobei die Signalintensität (Signalenergie) dieses modulierten Kompensationssignals (S3i) mit dem Kompensationssignal (S3) in der Form korreliert, dass zumindest Anteile des ausgesendeten elektromagnetischen modulierten Kompensationssignals (S3i) in einem Betrachtungszeitraum, der mehrere Pulse des Kompensationssignals (S3) umfasst, proportional zum Kompensationssignal (S3) sind;
- 1. generating a first clock signal (clk1) having a first clock period (T 1 );
- 2. Generate a second clock (clk2) with a second clock period (T 2 ). This second clock period (T 2 ) is preferably only half as long as the first clock period (T 1 ) to satisfy the Nyquist theorem. Preferably, the first clock period (T 1 ) is an integer multiple of the second clock period (T 2 ). Therefore, it is conceivable, for example, to have both the first and the second clock period (T 1 , T 2 ) generated by a single clock generator (G), for example a two-digit binary counter, to ensure synchronicity.
- 3. mixing, in particular multiplying, the first clock signal (clk1) and the second clock signal (clk2) with a control signal (S4), which represents the later measured value, to a compensating bias signal (S3v);
- 4. In case I (eg signal levels between -1 and 1,
4 ) mixing, in particular multiplying, the first clock signal (clk1) previously inverted in a first inverter (INV1) to a complementary first clock signal (clk1q) and the second clock signal inverted in a second inverter (INV2) to a complementary second clock signal (clk2q) (clk2) with the control signal (S4) to a transmission pre-signal (S5v) and - 5. In case II (eg signal levels between 0 and 1,
3 ) mixing, in particular multiplying, the first clock signal (clk1) previously inverted in a first inverter (INV1) to a complementary first clock signal (clk1q) and the second clock signal (clk2) with that in a fourth inverter (INV4) to the complementary control signal ( S4q) modified control signal (S4) to a transmission pre-signal (S5v); - 6. generating a modulated transmission signal (S5) having a first modulation amplitude which is constant at least in the observation period as a function of the transmission pre-signal (S5v);
- 7. generating a modulated compensation signal (S3) in response to the compensating bias signal (S3v), which compared to the transmission signal (S5) may have a second modulation amplitude different from the first modulation amplitude, which is constant in the observation period;
- 8. transmitting a modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) by a transmitter (H) in the first transmission path (I1), wherein the signal intensity (signal energy) of this modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) with the transmission signal (S5) correlated in the form that at least Portions of the transmitted modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) in a viewing period comprising a plurality of pulses of the transmission signal (S5) are proportional to the transmission signal (S5);
- 9. sending out a electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) by a compensation transmitter (K) in the third transmission path (I3), wherein the signal intensity (signal energy) of this modulated compensation signal (S3i) with the compensation signal (S3) in the form that correlates at least portions of the emitted electromagnetic modulated Compensation signal (S3i) in a viewing period, which comprises a plurality of pulses of the compensation signal (S3), proportional to the compensation signal (S3);
- 10. This is followed by the interaction of the modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) with the first and second transmission path (I1, I2) and an object (O) located therein, and possibly also the interaction of the electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) the third and fourth transmission path (I3, I4) and a possibly located therein second object (O2). This can be done first by reflection of the modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) on a first object (O) and / or transmission of the modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) by a first object (O) and subsequent feeding of the modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) as modified electromagnetic transmission signal (S5s) in a second transmission path (I2), wherein the second transmission path (I2) and / or the first transmission path (I1) with the first object (O) may be identical done. Second, this may alternatively or simultaneously by the reflection of the electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) to a second object (O2) and / or the transmission of the electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) by a second object (O2) and then feeding the electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) take place as a modified electromagnetic compensation signal (S3s) in a fourth transmission path (I4). In this case, the fourth transmission path (I4) and / or the third transmission path (I3) may be identical to the second object (O2). The first object (O) may also be identical to the second object (O2).
- 11. It follows the exit of the modified electromagnetic transmission signal (S5s) of the transmitter (H) from the second transmission path (I2), after passage through the same and the reception of the modified electromagnetic transmission signal (S5s) by a receiver (D), and the outlet the modified electromagnetic compensation signal (S3s) of the compensation transmitter (K) from the fourth transmission path (I4) or third transmission path (I3), after passing through the corresponding transmission path (I3, I4) and the reception of the leaked modified electromagnetic compensation signal (S3s) by the Receiver (D). The reception takes place summarily superimposing and / or multiplying superimposed with the modified electromagnetic transmission signal (S5s) of the transmitter (H), which has exited from the second transmission path (I2).
- 12. A receiver (D) forms the receiver output signal (S0) as a function of the intensity of the received superimposition of the second transmit link (I2) leaked modified transmit signal (S5s) and of the fourth link (I4) or third link (I3) leaked modulated electromagnetic compensation transmit signal (S3s).
- 13. The duplicate mixing on the transmitter side with a first clock signal (clk1) and a second clock signal (clk2) is now performed on the receiver side by a two-stage demodulation according to exemplary case I (FIG.
4 ) or exemplary case II (3 ) reversed in different ways. Therefore, in a first demodulation stage, the mixture of the receiver output signal (S0) or a signal derived from the receiver output signal, in particular a filtered receiver output signal (S1) or an amplified receiver output signal (S2), on the one hand with the second clock signal (clk2) on the other hand, in particular in one first multiplier (M1). This produces the first mixed signal (S6). This separation is preferably carried out again by means of multiplication. - 14. Furthermore, the second stage of the demodulation then follows in case I by mixing the first clock signal (clk1) previously inverted to the complementary first clock signal (clk1q) with the first mixing signal (S6) in a second multiplier (M2). In case II (
3 ), the first clock signal (clk1) is provided with a negative sign and supplied to the second multiplier (M2). This produces the mixed signal (S7). Since multiplications satisfy both the associative law and the commutative law, the order of the multiplications is arbitrary. Therefore, for example, it is also conceivable to first mix the complementary first clock signal (clk1q) with the second clock signal (clk2) in case I and then only the thus obtained clock mixing signal on the one hand with the receiver output signal (S0) or with a signal derived from the receiver output signal, in particular a filtered receiver output signal (S1) or with an amplified receiver output signal (S2), on the other hand to mix. The multiplication by "-1" can be done differently. In the end, it is only important to mix the two clock signals (clk1 and clk2) in such a way that a sign-correct product of the alternating component of the two clock signals (clk1, clk2) is sent to the receiver output signal (S0) or one of the signals derived therefrom (S1, S2). is multiplied and thus a demodulation is achieved. The choice of the sign is done so that sets stability in the control loop. - 15. This is followed again by filtering the mixed signal (S7), preferably in a first filter (F1) to form a control pre-signal (S8). Low-pass filtering and / or integration as a filter characteristic of the filter (F1) has proved to be particularly successful since they are easy to implement. Together with the preceding multiplication, a scalar product thus results between the receiver output signal (S0) or a signal (S1, S2) derived therefrom and the alternating signal components of the two clock signals (clk1 and clk2). In case II, care must therefore be taken in the design that no DC equals in scalar product formation can reach the integrator, the first filter (F1).
- 16. Next, in the signal path, an analog-to-digital conversion of the control reference signal (S8) to a digitized control signal (S9) follows. This typically uses an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which may be just a comparator with a 1-bit wide output. A digital control pre-signal (S9) is obtained, whereby in particular the digitization also takes place in the signal path before the filtering by the first filter (F1). can be done. However, it is advantageous if the quantization noise does not get into the first filter (F1).
- 17. Then follows the filtering and / or delay of the digital control pre-signal (S9), preferably in a digital filter (FF) and / or flip-flop, to said control signal (S4), wherein in particular the digital filter (FF) a Unit with the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and / or in digital realization of the first filter (F1) with this first filter (F1) can form a unit.
- 18. Finally, the output of the control signal (S4) takes place as a measured value signal for the properties of at least one of the optical transmission links (I1, I2, I3, I4) and / or at least one of the objects (O, O2) within at least one of the optical transmission links (I1 , I2, I3, I4).
In a more general form, the method can be described as follows: This more general form is also a method for measuring the properties of at least one electromagnetic transmission path and / or object (O) within at least one electromagnetic transmission path (I1, I2, I3, I4) for use during a period of observation.

The apparatus further comprises a first mixer (Mi1), for example consisting of a fifth and third multiplier (M5, M3), the first clock signal (clk1) and the second clock signal (clk2) and the control signal (S4) to the compensation leading signal (Mi) S3v) with each other, in this case preferably multiplied, or the band-limited clock signal (clk1 × clk2) with the control signal (S4) to the compensation leading signal (S3v) mixes, so here preferably multiplied.
Of course, these mixers and signal generators can be implemented as a functional unit of equal effect and different architecture. For example, it is common practice to realize multiplications and thus the multipliers by switches. This is particularly advantageous if, for example, the signals are processed differentially in the receive path.
In one embodiment, the proposed device has a transmitter (H) which transmits a modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) into the first transmission path (I1), the signal intensity (signal energy) of this modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) being matched with the transmission pre-signal (S5v). in the form that at least portions of the transmitted modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) are proportional to the transmission pre-signal (S5) in a viewing period comprising a plurality of pulses of the transmission pre-signal (S5v). It has a compensation transmitter (K) which transmits an electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) into the third transmission link (I3), the signal intensity (signal energy) of this modulated compensation signal (S3i) being correlated with the compensation bias signal (S3v) in the form at least portions of the emitted electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) in a viewing period comprising a plurality of pulses of the compensation bias signal (S3v) are proportional to the compensation bias signal (S3v).
The electromagnetic modulated transmit signal (S5i) and / or the electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) is reflected on at least one object (O, O2) in at least one transmission links (I1, I2, I3, I4) and / or by at least one object (O , O2). Subsequently, the object (O) feeds the modulated electromagnetic transmission signal (S5i) as a modified electromagnetic transmission signal (S5s) into a second transmission path (I2). Also, the second object (O2) can then feed the electromagnetic modulated compensation signal (S3i) as a modified electromagnetic compensation signal (S3s) in a fourth transmission path (I4), wherein one or more transmission links (I1, I2, I3, I4) with the respective object (O, O2) can be identical. A receiver (D) receives the modified electromagnetic compensation signal (S3s) of the compensation transmitter (K) after exiting the third and / or fourth transmission link (I3, I4) and after passing through at least one of them. The reception takes place summarily superimposing and / or multiplying superimposed with the modified electromagnetic transmission signal (S5s) of the transmitter (H). The receiver (D) further receives the modified electromagnetic transmit signal (S5s) of the transmitter (H) after exiting the first and / or second transmission link (I1, I2) and after passing through at least one of them. The receiver (D) generates a receiver output signal (S0) in response to the received superimposition of the modified transmit signal (S5s) and the compensation transmit signal (S3s).
It preferably has a third mixer (Mi3). This preferably consists of a first multiplier (M1) and a second multiplier (M2).
The second multiplier (M2) and the first multiplier (M1) can thus be replaced in their function all or partly by a single sub-device - the third mixer (Mi3), which replaces parts of these functions functionally identical. It is essential that the demodulation by mixing the two clock signals (clk1, clk2) or by Mixture with each of these derived, for example, by multiplication by -1 or inversion signals each carried out so that the same purpose of the demodulation is carried out without an erasure by zero level.
The device has a preferably analogous first filter (F1), which may in particular be a low-pass filter and / or an integrator, and which filters the first mixing signal (S7) and / or a signal derived therefrom to form a control leading signal (S8). In this case, the first filter (F1) has an upper filter limit frequency ω fo , which in some applications should be below half the lower limit frequency ω u of the band-limited clock signal (clk1 × clk2) or of the first band-limited clock signal (clk1 × clk2). The device comprises an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which converts the control pre-signal (S8) to a digitized control signal (S9), the digitization by the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) also before the Filtering by the first filter (F1) can be done, but experience has shown that this is less favorable. This digitized control signal (S9) is now processed in a digitized loop filter (the filter FF). The proposed device thus has a digital filter (FF) which is synchronized with the first clock signal (clk1) according to the proposal disclosed herein. This synchronization is essential to the invention and ensures that the two clock signals (clk1, clk2) are always orthogonal with respect to the scalar product implemented in the device. This digital filter (FF) is the output of the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) in the case of a one-bit-wide digital control preamble signal (S9). This digital filter (FF) is particularly preferably just a flip-flop (FF). The digital filter (FF) filters the digital control pre-signal (S9) to the control signal (S4) and / or delays it. If the digital control preamble signal (S9) is a digital signal with a bit width of more than one bit, that is, for example, n bits with n> 1, then the control signal (S4) is preferred before being fed back into the device again converted into an analogue signal. The figures merely show the case of a one-bit-wide digital control anticipation signal (S9). Such an analogue-converted control signal (S4) with n-bit width would then represent the input signal for the first mixer (Mi1) and the second mixer (Mi2) instead of the control signal (S4) instead of the drawn digital control signal (S4). The device thus comprises a digital filter (FF), which may in particular be a flip-flop (FF), and wherein this digital filter (FF) filters and / or delays the digital control pre-signal (S9) to the control signal (S4). The digital filter (FF) is synchronized with the first clock signal (clk1) or the complementary first clock signal (clk1q) or with a synchronous and possibly phase-shifted signal. Particularly preferred is a synchronized with the first clock signal (clk1) flip-flop (FF). The device outputs the control signal (S4) as a measured value signal for properties of at least one optical transmission measuring section (I1, I2, I3, I4) and / or as a measured value of the property of at least one object (O, O2) within one or more optical transmission measuring sections (I1, I2 , I3, I4) from or for further processing to other parts of the device on.

MischenMix
For the purposes of this disclosure, the mixing of two signals is preferably understood to mean the multiplication of two signals. This can be done analog or digital. In the case of digital multiplication, two value systems are possible. First (Case I), a level can be rated as -1 and the level other than +1. In that case, an XOR gate can be used as a multiplier. Second, (Case II), a level may be evaluated as 0 and the level as 1. In that case, multiplication by means of a simple AND gate is possible for two one-bit-wide signals. Also, the use of switches, etc. is conceivable. Furthermore, multiplying amplifiers, etc. can be used. Theoretically, the use of non-linear mixers is possible, but this is not recommended.
