Description
The invention relates to an electrolyte for an electrochemical energy store according to the preamble of
From the prior art electrochemical energy storage are known. For example, electrochemical energy storage devices are used as batteries in vehicles. To reduce charging times of the batteries, the electrochemical energy storage devices can be provided with a fast charging capability. In fast charging processes have classical electrochemical energy storage, z. B. electrochemical energy storage with graphite anodes, but an increased aging behavior. This is due on the one hand to an increased waste heat and the resulting thermal aging and, on the other hand, to an unfavorable electrical polarization in the interior of the electrochemical energy store, which leads to an increased internal resistance.
To increase the fast charge capability, silicon anodes can be used because ion mobility and electrical conductivity in silicon media is increased. However, the anode is thus exposed to very strong volumetric changes. A layer which is formed during an initial charging and discharging process of the electrochemical energy store on the surface side of the anode (also known as a solid electrolyte interphase layer) should therefore be appropriately mechanically flexible in order to prevent it from tearing. The properties of such a layer can be predetermined by means of a specific composition of the electrolyte.
The object of the invention is to specify an electrolyte which is improved over the prior art and an improved electrochemical energy store.
With regard to the electrolyte, the object is achieved according to the invention with the features specified in
Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
An electrolyte for an electrochemical energy storage having a silicon anode and a cathode comprises a solvent containing propylene carbonate.
According to the invention, the electrolyte is admixed with a number of additives comprising 1,3,2-dioctyl-2,2-dioxides, dithiophosphoric O, O-diethyl ester and naphthyl methyl carbamate.
By means of the additives, a wetting quality of the electrodes, in particular of the silicon anode, is significantly increased when the electrochemical energy store is filled with the electrolyte. As a result, an internal resistance of the electrochemical energy store is reduced by approximately 20% compared with the use of a conventional electrolyte, and a rapid charging capability of the electrochemical energy store increases significantly. Furthermore, thermal effects are reduced and a lifetime and safety of the electrochemical energy store are increased over the prior art.
