Abstract
Problem:
Problem:
Energy savings and CO 2 reduction are recognized important goals, ethically, politically and economically.
Heat pumps are state of the art, but most of the waste water still takes its heat energy into the canal.
The invention described here is intended to allow the waste heat to be recovered simply and effectively for each dwelling house and building, and furthermore also to lift environmental heat (geothermal heat).
Solution:
In order to extract the waste heat from the sewage with a heat pump in such a way that it must be attractive even for simple single-family homes, the associated heat exchanger must be tolerant of any wastewater that occurs in a household, eg. As shower and toilet wastewater.
The heat exchanger must be compact, easy to install and operate, and should be low maintenance to maintenance free.
A heat exchanger that can do that is shown in the sketch:
Part (1) is a wastewater tank z. B. concrete. In the concrete of this container heat exchanger tubes (1.3) are introduced. Through these pipes, the heat energy can be withdrawn from the container and its contents by means of a heat pump and medium.
The fresh, warm wastewater is introduced into the receiving tube (2). Already cooled, the waste water flows slowly through the openings (2.2) in the lower part of the receiving tube into the heat exchanger (1). There, the waste water is completely cooled until it is fed via the overflow (1.1) of the sewer (4).
(1.2) is a basic procedure through which the heat exchanger can be emptied into the sewage system for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
If there is no connection to the sewage system (4), the processes (1.1) and (1.2) no longer apply and the wastewater heat exchanger must be pumped out regularly. Incidentally, the wastewater heat exchanger works in the same way.
Field of use:
The wastewater heat exchanger is suitable for all single and multi-family houses and also all other buildings in which wastewater, even in small quantities, is obtained. Due to the compact and robust design, it is also suitable for retrofitting.
The possible and also favorable ground installation saves space and allows the use of geothermal heat. The non-existing (disturbing) environmental influences allow the installation near residential buildings or under the garage or under the basement / ground floor. When installing the earth, only the manhole cover (9) of the heat exchanger can be seen.
Description
The invention relates to a heat exchanger for heat pumps having the features in the preamble of the claim.
B. in Heizungsanlagen. Common practice in heat pumps for building heating, in particular of residential buildings, are air heat pumps, groundwater heat pumps, heat pumps with geothermal probes or ground collectors. A recent development is heat pumps with ice storage. Especially in single and multi-family houses, the wastewater remains unused as a heat source. The use of wastewater has significant advantages over other energy sources that can be pumped by means of heat pumps:
The wastewater z. B. of residential buildings has a temperature of about 20 ° C throughout the year. The heat pumps currently used most frequently work with outside air. The temperature of the outside air decreases in winter and often drops below 0 ° C. Air heat pumps should start from 0 ° C and can no longer be operated from approx. -8 ° C. An additional heating, z. As an electric heating element must be switched on to take over the heating. The temperature level of near-surface earth collectors is around 3 to 10 ° C throughout the year, that of groundwater usually between 9 and 11 ° C. For geothermal collectors you need large areas - about 2 × the (residential) surface or large depths to be heated - bored probes from 10 m to a maximum of 150 m. Because of the good heat storage capacity water is used in high quality heat storage, eg. B. in heating systems. In heat pumps with ice storage, the latent heat energy of water is also used in the phase transition between liquid and frozen. Next heat and heat storage of concrete or gravel are known from technology and science as memory 'low-value' heat, eg. B. solar thermal surpluses in midsummer. Thus, by volume, water has by far the best heat storage properties and wastewater the highest temperature level, year round.
It is an object of this invention to describe an effective and simple heat exchanger for wastewater. He should be able to use in particular also domestic sewage gray and black water untreated without the system is too complicated or the operation becomes too expensive. Further, this heat exchanger should be able to process different temperature levels effectively and not only withdraw the energy from the waste water, which was recently supplied to it consuming, but also lift the heat energy that would provide geothermal collectors. Already cold drinking water from the water pipe or from toilet flushing already has the temperature that geothermal collectors should provide. The heat exchanger should continue to be as easy to install and retrofit. In order for this heat exchanger in operation together with a heat pump to take advantage of the current heat pump combinations and avoid their disadvantages, completely regenerate waste heat and also use environmental heat.
In order to be able to use wastewater waste when it is needed, it has to be stored. The storage can be effectively achieved already with the delay of the wastewater drain. Saving the wastewater heat by delaying the wastewater drain also helps to make the heat transfer efficient. With enough time for the heat transfer, heat transfer rates are becoming irrelevant. A cleaning of the heat exchanger surfaces to improve the heat transfer values is unnecessary. If the storage tank for the wastewater is carried out in concrete, the favorable properties of concrete are used as a heat storage attached and it is an already proven, cheaper material used for wastewater treatment. If the concrete storage then in the Earth buried, the surrounding soil and / or the possible gravel / gravel bed is used as an additional heat storage when the surrounding soil is reasonably dry. In the other case, at least the surrounding geothermal energy is used. An isolation of the storage / heat exchanger is unnecessary. The ground installation of the wastewater heat exchanger / storage tank further has the advantage that surfaces and rooms in the building and garden largely remain free for other use. The environment is not affected (noise, cold air). Border distances to the neighbors need not be adhered to.
Das heißt: Die Leistungsfähigkeit des Abwasserwärmetauschers steigt an diesem Punkt nochmals deutlich an, Faktor 80.In order to make the heat transfer in the wastewater heat exchanger effective, it must be prevented that freshly flowing wastewater drains off the already cooled wastewater. A relatively long whereabouts of the waste water in the heat exchanger is desirable, some mixing as well. Conveniently, only the fully cooled wastewater flows (about 0 ° C) from. Thus, the effluent is already significantly colder than the incoming fresh water and thus the energy supplied is regenerated, as well as the fresh water immanent environmental energy lifted. As an environmental heat collector so that not only the upstream fresh water system is used, without being affected, but also the downstream wastewater network. Should it beyond z. B. at increased heat demand of the building to be heated or in too short a design of the heat exchanger to an 'overload' the same, this can lead to icing of the wastewater in the wastewater heat exchanger. For geothermal and groundwater heat pumps that would be undesirable or inadmissible. Heat pumps with ice storage, however, use this very transition from water to ice and additionally raise the latent heat of 333.7 kJ / kg. It should not be necessary to operate the heat exchanger in this area, but on the other hand also pose no problem. This means that the efficiency of the wastewater heat exchanger increases significantly again at this point, a factor of 80.
A wastewater heat exchanger, which is to be tolerant to any contamination of building waste water, must be able to cope with solids, floating, floating or sinking - at least for a certain period of time.
In the drawing by way of example and shown schematically is a wastewater heat exchanger that can afford that. The arrangement shown here by way of example is based on the situation that is common in many places, that the system is connected to a sewer and, for the sake of simplicity, that the connection to it is lower than the bottom of the heat exchanger. If this drains are not available, the heat exchanger must be made larger and be pumped out regularly. If the connection to the sewage system is higher than the bottom of the heat exchanger, then either the heat exchanger can be made flatter or it can be followed by a wastewater lifting plant, which is state of the art in similar situations.
