Description
The invention relates to a mixing device for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. Furthermore, the invention relates to a mixer system comprising a mixing device arranged in an exhaust system and to a use of a mixing device or a mixer system.
Reduktion. In internal combustion engines, in particular gasoline or diesel engines, an exhaust gas treatment must be carried out for various reasons. For example, for the purpose of environmental protection, it is necessary to reduce pollutant emissions in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. Such an exhaust gas treatment device is generally called a vehicle catalytic converter. The object of a vehicle catalytic converter is the chemical conversion of combustion pollutants such as hydrocarbons (C m H n ), carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) into the non-toxic substances carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), water (H 2 O) and nitrogen (N 2 ) by oxidation or reduction.
Modern diesel engines with high centrifugal masses require special exhaust gas treatment or exhaust gas purification to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx). An effective method here is the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). In the SCR, nitrogen oxides are reduced to nitrogen and water by means of ammonia. Here, an aqueous urea solution, which consists for example of about 2/3 water and 1/3 urea, introduced into the gas-conducting exhaust system by means of a nozzle module. The reducing agent, in this case the aqueous urea solution, is then made to evaporate by means of the mixing device. The evaporated reducing agent is then distributed homogeneously on an SCR catalyst. In the SCR catalyst, the chemical reduction of nitrogen oxides takes place.
Usually, the mixing device is designed in the form of a mechanical mixing device. The mechanical mixing device is usually introduced into the exhaust system of an exhaust system. With regard to the direction of the exhaust gas flow upstream of the mixing device, a nozzle module is arranged, via which the reducing agent, for example an aqueous urea solution, can be injected into the exhaust gas stream. The reducing agent is ejected or injected in the form of a fabric mist or a spray. The mechanical mixing device preferably provides a baffle surface for the injected fabric mist or spray droplets. When the droplets hit the baffle of the mixer, the droplets are broken up, favoring the vaporization of the droplets. This is advantageous in that the reducing agent in the form of a vapor homogeneously distributed on the SCR catalyst, which is located in the flow direction of the exhaust gas behind the mixing device, impinges. In addition to the effect of the mixing device to bring the reducing agent or the urea solution to evaporate, another significant effect of the mechanical mixing device to ensure the most homogeneous possible mixing of the vaporized reducing agent or the evaporated urea solution with the exhaust gas. A homogeneous mixing of the exhaust gas with the reducing agent leads in particular to a uniform and homogeneous wetting of the SCR catalyst, which in turn favors a spatially and temporally uniform chemical reduction reaction of the nitrogen oxides on the catalyst.

However, the mixing devices known from the prior art have the disadvantage that there is currently no optimal device or method that can be adapted to each exhaust system. There is also a conflict of objectives between a homogeneous reductant distribution, for example, an ammonia distribution on the SCR catalyst and an exhaust system with a low pressure drop. Mostly one will achieved homogeneous reducing agent or ammonia equal distribution at the expense of a higher exhaust gas pressure loss.
Further, prior art solutions have difficulty in achieving homogeneous reductant or ammonia uniformity distribution on the SCR catalyst at each engine operating point. The SCR system must function as well in a low load case with low exhaust mass flow and low exhaust gas temperature as, for example, a high load case with high exhaust mass flow and high exhaust gas temperature.
Another problem known from the prior art is that the reducing agent injected or ejected from the nozzle module or nozzles of the nozzle module is not largely or substantially comminuted on the baffles of the mixing device. The reason for such a defective comminution may be, for example, the geometry of the nozzle or of the plurality of nozzles of the nozzle module or the arrangement of the nozzles and alignment of the nozzles. Further, the geometry of the exhaust line provides an exhaust system-specific swirl pattern of the exhaust gas which can divert the injected reductant jets, whereby the reductant no longer largely impacts the baffles of the mixing device. In such a situation, the reductant jet in some areas breaks the mixer without contact with a mixer blade. This leads to locally increased reductant concentrations and thus to an inhomogeneous reductant distribution on the SCR catalyst. In mixing devices known from the prior art, the mixer blades are often also opposite to the twist of the exhaust flow rotated in front of the mixer. This has a higher exhaust pressure loss and thus a higher fuel consumption of the engine result.
The invention has for its object to provide a mixing device and a mixer system for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine of the type mentioned, with which a homogeneous evaporation of a reducing agent for a vehicle catalytic converter is achieved. A further object of the present invention is to provide a mixing device and a mixer system and a use of a mixing device or a mixer system which ensures an optimum compromise between a homogeneous reductant distribution, for example an ammonia distribution, on an exhaust gas treatment device, for example a catalyst, and a low pressure loss.
Finally, it is an object of the present invention to provide a mixing device which is inexpensive to manufacture.
According to the invention, the object underlying the invention is achieved by a mixing device for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, in particular in a motor vehicle, comprising a tubular base body with an inner region and a first axial end, and at least three distributed over the circumference of the first axial end of the base body arranged blades, wherein the blades have a base and an end portion, wherein the blades are integrally formed with the base at the first axial end, wherein the blades protrude with the end portion in the radial direction of the base body in the direction of the inner region, wherein it is provided that the blades are arranged distributed at irregular angular intervals over the circumference of the first axial end and / or that at least two of the blades are arranged at an angular distance of 120 ° to each other at the first axial end of the base body.
Since according to the invention the blades are distributed at irregular angular intervals over the circumference of the first axial end and / or because at least two of the blades are arranged at an angular distance of 120 ° from one another at the first axial end of the base body, there is the advantage that a blade arrangement is available which takes into account the deflection of the reducing agent jet injected or expelled from the nozzles of a nozzle module by, for example, turbulent exhaust gas flows. It is achieved by the blade arrangement according to the invention that a blade arrangement can be found for each geometry of an exhaust system or an exhaust system of an exhaust system, so that the jet of the fabric mist or the spray, or the reducing agent, to a large extent, largely or substantially completely the blades so that the droplets of the fabric mist or the spray on the blades or on baffles of the blades are burst or crushed. As a result, an optimal evaporation of the fabric mist or the spray from the reducing agent is achieved, which favors a homogeneous distribution of reducing agent on an exhaust gas treatment device such as a catalyst. The exhaust gas treatment device can be designed as an SCR catalytic converter. The reducing agent may be an aqueous urea solution or an ammonia solution.
Furthermore, it is prevented by the inventive arrangement of the blades over the circumference of the first axial end of the base body that the jet of the fabric mist or of the spray breaks through the mixing device without contact with the blades. This also avoids an increased reducing agent concentration at certain locations on the exhaust gas treatment device. Are according to the invention at least two of the blades at an angular distance of 120 ° from each other on arranged first axial end of the body, so the mixing device can be adapted to nozzle geometries of nozzle modules in which two or three by 120 ° to each other twisted or staggered nozzles are present. In known mixing devices, an even number of blades is distributed at equal angular intervals around the circumference, and thus breaks in such an arrangement of two or three nozzles of a nozzle module of the fabric mist or the spray of the reducing agent in some areas, the mixing device without contact with one of Shovels of the mixer.
Another advantage according to the invention results from the specific distribution of the blades over the circumference of the first axial end thereof, that a lower exhaust pressure loss occurs and thus also a lower fuel consumption of the engine is required. Because of the arrangement of the blades, the droplets of the fabric mist or the spray of the reducing agent substantially substantially or substantially completely strike the blades and are crushed or burst, less, smaller, areas of the mixer which are not struck by the fabric mist or spray or even no blades are provided. According to the invention, the blades of the mixing device are thus arranged over the circumference of the first axial end of the main body of the mixing device substantially where the fabric mist or the spray of the reducing agent would penetrate the mixing device, if there would be no blade provided there. A smaller number of blades and / or smaller blades reduces exhaust pressure loss and thus also results in lower fuel consumption of the engine.
It is preferably provided that the blades are designed as mixer blades and, in particular, have a side surface formed as a baffle surface for a fabric mist or a spray.
The side face of the blades designed as a baffle surface has the advantage that a spray of reducing agent impinging on the blades or a spray of a reducing agent evaporates more homogeneously and more quickly because the reducing agent droplets, for example droplets of an aqueous urea, are carried with the fabric mist or the spray - or ammonia solution, burst on the baffle of the mixer blade and crushed. Furthermore, the droplets that strike the blades are advantageously heated more quickly and vaporized because the blades are at a higher temperature prior to injection than, for example, air. the pipe wall or other areas of the tubular body or the exhaust system.
Particularly useful is an embodiment in which the positions of the blades are symmetrical with respect to a rotation about 120 ° about the longitudinal axis of the tubular body.
Such an arrangement of the blades over the circumference of the first axial end of the base body is particularly advantageous when the nozzle module injecting or expelling the reducing agent in the form of a fabric mist or spray has a nozzle geometry in which three nozzles are arranged rotated at an angular distance of 120 ° to each other , In particular, with only slight turbulence of the exhaust gas flow then meet the Stoffnebel- or spray jets, which are usually conical, at an angular distance of 120 ° to the plane of the mixing device. The three cones of the fabric mist or spray which are offset by 120 ° with respect to one another thus strike the blades which are offset by 120 ° from one another. In this way, it is achieved that a majority or substantially all of the fabric mist or the entire spray hits the blades, in particular the baffles of the blades. It then bursts most of the droplets of the fabric mist or the spray, so that optimal evaporation is guaranteed.
Furthermore, such an arrangement is advantageous when the engine is running at a low load case with a low exhaust gas mass flow and a low exhaust gas temperature. In this case, the influence of possible turbulent flows of the exhaust gas on the substance mist or spray cone is small, so that only a slight deflection of these cones is to be expected. In the case of injection nozzles offset by 120 °, the arrangement of the blades which is symmetrical by 120 ° is thus advantageous.
It is also advantageous if it is provided that the blades are distributed over the circumference of the first axial end of the body, that in a arranged in an exhaust system state of the mixing device at least one blade of a nozzle of a nozzle module of the exhaust system is assignable, so that a Mass fraction of at least 60%, preferably 70%, more preferably 90%, particularly preferably substantially 100%, of a fabric mist or spray which can be ejected or injected from the nozzle of the nozzle module, wherein the fabric mist or the spray is preferably expelled or injectable into an exhaust gas stream, on a side surface, in particular on a baffle, the blade meets.
By the assignability of at least one blade to a nozzle of a nozzle module of the exhaust system is achieved that a substantial mass fraction of at least 60%, preferably 70%, more preferably 90%, particularly preferably substantially 100% of a nozzle of the Nozzle module ejectible fabric mist or spray hits the nozzle associated with the blade. In the process, the majority of the droplets of the reducing agent entrained in the substance mist or in the spray are broken up or these droplets burst on an impact surface of the blade. Consequently, a favorable evaporation result is achieved. In this case, the fabric mist or the spray is preferably ejected into an exhaust stream, and the assignment of the blade to the nozzle of the nozzle module takes place taking into account possible turbulence or currents in the exhaust stream, which can change the flow direction of the ejected or injected fabric mist or spray. In this sense, it can be ensured by the special assignment of the blade to the nozzles of a nozzle module for each possible geometry of an exhaust system or an exhaust system exhaust system that a majority or substantially the entire mass fraction of a discharged from the nozzle pulp on the baffles crushed becomes.
Furthermore, it is expedient that at least one guide element is provided, wherein preferably at least three guide elements are provided, wherein the at least one guide element or the at least three guide elements are distributed over the circumference of the first axial end of the body, wherein the at least one guide element is a base and an end portion, wherein the at least one guide element is integrally formed with the base at the first axial end, wherein the at least one guide element protrudes with the end portion in the radial direction of the base body in the direction of the inner region, wherein the at least one guide element arranged in the circumferential direction between the blades is.
The preferred guide elements are suitable for conducting an exhaust gas flow or an exhaust gas-reducing agent mixture and, if appropriate, giving the mixture a twisting effect. In this case, the guide elements may also be formed in the form of blades, wherein the guide elements are geometrically similar to the blades of the mixing device. Due to the guiding function of the guide elements and in particular the arrangement of the guide elements in each case between the blades of the mixing device, the exhaust gas flow or the exhaust gas-reducing agent mixture can be set in a uniform or otherwise advantageous rotation. Also, the exhaust gas reducing agent mixture is mixed homogeneously by the action of the at least one guide element. The more homogeneous mixing results in a more homogeneous reductant distribution on the exhaust gas treatment device. For example, a more homogeneous distribution of ammonia is obtained on an SCR catalyst.
It is preferably provided that the at least one guide element is smaller than the blades.
The at least one guide element or the guide elements, which preferably have a similar geometric shape as the blades, are expediently smaller. This has the consequence that not the entire cross-sectional or passage surface of the mixing device or the entire cross-sectional or passage surface of the tubular body is covered or covered by blades. A lower coverage or coverage of the cross section or the cross-sectional area of the body leads to a lower exhaust pressure loss and thus to a lower fuel consumption of the engine. It is particularly advantageous that the use of guide elements which are smaller than the blades, in particular together with the inventive arrangement of the blades leads to these positive effects of a lower exhaust pressure loss and lower fuel consumption.
However, it may also be advantageous to provide vanes which are the same size as the vanes.
Particularly preferably, the blades have a greater width than the at least one guide element.
The smaller width of the guide elements promotes a smaller coverage of the cross-sectional area of the tubular body of the mixing device and thus a lower exhaust pressure loss.
It is particularly expedient to provide exactly three blades and exactly three guide elements, wherein the guide elements are arranged in the circumferential direction between the blades, wherein the blades have an angular distance of substantially, preferably exactly, 120 ° to each other, wherein the guide elements an angular distance of substantially, preferably exactly, have 120 ° to each other, wherein particularly preferably the positions of the blades and the guide elements are symmetrical with respect to a rotation of 120 ° about the longitudinal axis of the tubular body.
Particularly advantageous, this embodiment can be used together with a nozzle module with three offset by 120 ° to each other or rotated nozzles. Due to the rotational symmetry about 120 ° of the mixing device ensures that each of the emerging from the respective nozzle or ejected substance mist or spray jets or cone hits him preferably associated impact surface of a blade, so that a optimum evaporation result is achieved. Furthermore, an optimum mixing of the reducing agent mist or of the spray with the exhaust gas flow is effected by the vanes arranged between the vanes, so that a homogeneous distribution of reducing agent on the catalyst is achieved. The mixing device thus preferably has two different blade types. On the one hand, the preferred mixing device has three blades, preferably designed as mixer blades, which essentially cover the complete, conical substance mist or spray jet region of a three-nozzle module including tolerances and flow deflections at high exhaust gas mass flows. The further three vanes designed as guide elements are preferably made smaller in order to minimize the exhaust gas pressure loss and have a mixing function of the vaporized reducing agent with the exhaust gas.
Further advantages are obtained in that the blades and / or the at least one guide element are preferably employed against the longitudinal axis of the basic body, preferably by at least 40 °, more preferably by at least 45 °, particularly preferably by at least 50 °.
The blades and / or the guide elements can be employed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the body to the right. An employment to the right here means that viewed in the flow direction of the exhaust gas guided through the exhaust system, the exhaust gas, the fabric mist or spray, or the exhaust gas reducing agent mixture a clockwise clockwise rotation by the action of the blades and / or the guide elements is awarded.
However, it is also possible that the blades and / or the guide elements are employed against the longitudinal axis of the main body to the left and thus impart the exhaust gas flow or the exhaust gas-reducing agent mixture counterclockwise a left-hand twist.
Due to the right-hand twist or the left-hand twist, which impart the blades and / or the guide elements to the exhaust gas flow and / or the exhaust gas-reducing agent mixture, homogeneous mixing of the exhaust gas flow with the preferably vaporized reducing agent is achieved. Advantageously, a homogeneous distribution of the reducing agent is achieved on the surface of an exhaust gas treatment device such as a catalyst due to the homogeneous mixing.
It is particularly preferred that a rotational direction or swirl direction is defined by the employed blades and / or the at least one guide element, which preferably corresponds to the direction of rotation or swirl direction of an exhaust gas flow in an exhaust system.
In the case of short mixing sections, it is advantageous to make the blades or the guide elements stronger with respect to the axial direction, for example more than 45 °, in particular more than 50 °.
If the rotation or twist direction defined by the blades and / or guide elements corresponds to the direction of rotation or twist direction of an exhaust gas flow in an exhaust system, this has the advantage that an exhaust gas flow which impinges on the mixing device suffers a lower exhaust gas pressure loss. By way of example, an adjustment of the blades to the right in conjunction with a prevailing right vortex flow upstream of the mixing device is given. The exhaust gas flow then, as it were, rotates through the mixing device like a screw in the thread, whereby the back pressure of the exhaust gas stream at the mixing device is reduced. A reduced back pressure in turn has a low exhaust pressure loss result. As a result, a higher fuel consumption of the engine is prevented.
It is preferably provided that the mixing device is integrally formed.
The guide elements and / or the blades are thus integral parts of the mixing device. However, it is also possible that the blades or the guide elements are integrally formed on an already existing tubular body. However, in the preferred embodiment, the vanes and / or vanes are integral with the mixing device. For example, the mixing device can be formed from a single sheet, wherein first a two-dimensional molded body of the mixing device is punched out of a flat sheet metal plate with a template. The two-dimensional molded body already has the blades and / or the guide elements. The two-dimensional shaped body from the sheet is subsequently bent to a tubular base body. Subsequently, the blades and / or the guide elements, which are integral parts of the two-dimensional molded body, bent in the direction of the interior of the bent into the tubular mold body.
Due to the design of the mixing device as a one-piece mixing device manufacturing costs can be saved.
Advantageously, it is provided that the blades and / or the at least one guide element have a twisting or a twisting, wherein preferably a partial region of a blade and / or or the at least one guide element has a larger angle of attack.
By providing a twisting or twisting of the blades or the guide elements, the blade and guide element geometry or the geometry of the mixing device can be adapted precisely to the prevailing flow conditions of the exhaust gas in an exhaust system or in an exhaust system. Furthermore, by the preferred twisting or twisting of the guide elements flow changes can be taken into account which are caused by injection or ejection or ejection of a fabric mist or spray into an exhaust gas flow. The blades and / or guide elements can preferably have, along their longitudinal axis, which points essentially in the radial direction of the base body in the direction of the inner region, continuously or stepwise an altered angle of attack to the longitudinal axis of the base body. However, it is also possible for the blades and / or the guide elements to have different angles of attack in sections or in sections. By sections or sections, different employment of the blades and / or vanes, a cost and manufacturing advantage is achieved, since such a sectioned employment is easier to manufacture.
Further preferably, it can be provided that at least three blades touch with their end regions in the middle of the main body on the longitudinal axis of the main body.
In this preferred embodiment, in which touch at least three blades with their end portions in the center of the body, it can be avoided that a spray penetration or a pulp penetration takes place by the mixing device without contact with a blade or mixer blade in the middle of the body.
This ensures a homogeneous uniform distribution of the fabric mist and / or the spray of the reducing agent on the subsequent exhaust gas treatment device or the subsequent catalyst. However, the end regions can only come very close so that they almost touch each other.
Particularly advantageously, the mixing device comprises a metal, preferably a metal sheet, wherein the mixing device particularly preferably consists of a metal, in particular a metal sheet.
The use of a metal or a sheet or a sheet metal body for producing a mixing device is advantageous in view of the manufacturing costs of the mixing device.
A further solution to the problem underlying the invention is to provide a mixer system comprising a mixing device arranged in an exhaust system as described above and a nozzle module having at least one nozzle for a fabric mist or a spray, wherein by means of the nozzle module the fabric mist or the spray in an exhaust line of the exhaust system can be ejected or injected, wherein the mixing device is arranged in the flow direction of an exhaust gas behind the nozzle module in the exhaust line, and preferably in the flow direction downstream of the mixing device, an exhaust gas treatment device, in particular a catalyst or a particulate filter, is arranged.
By means of the mixer system according to the invention, a homogeneous uniform distribution of a fabric mist or spray, for example a reducing agent or ammonia vapor or spray on an exhaust gas treatment device, such as a catalyst or SCR catalyst, can be achieved at each engine operating point. The mixer system according to the invention functions as well in a low load case with a low exhaust gas mass flow and a low exhaust gas temperature as in a high load case with a high exhaust gas mass flow and a high exhaust gas temperature.
This eliminates the conflict between a homogeneous distribution of ammonia on the SCR catalyst and an exhaust system with a lower pressure drop.
Furthermore, a higher exhaust pressure loss is avoided by the mixer system according to the invention and a lower fuel consumption of the engine is advantageous.
The nozzle module arranged in the mixer system can have any configuration suitable for the mixer system according to the invention. In particular, the nozzle module can have at least one or more nozzles through which a substance mist or a spray can be ejected or injected into an exhaust gas system of an exhaust system. For example, it may be provided that three nozzles are arranged in the nozzle module, wherein more preferably the three nozzles are arranged at an angular distance of 120 ° to each other. In this case, the nozzles preferably emit a fabric mist or a spray, wherein the shape of the ejected fabric mist or of the spray corresponds to the shape of an injection cone or generally a cone.
Preferably, the injection cone of the nozzle of the nozzle module is aligned with one of the blades of the mixing device of the mixer system, so that the cone of the fabric mist or of the spray essentially completely hits a baffle or side surface of the blades. When aligning the cone, the flow of the exhaust gas prevailing in the exhaust gas system can be taken into account. Such an exhaust gas flow may, for example, lead to turbulence of the injection cone or the injection cone may be deformed and deflected. By taking into account the flow of the exhaust gas can be ensured that a fabric mist or spray passage is prevented in the mixing device without contact with the mixer blade.
Preferably, it is provided in the mixer system that at least one, preferably at least three, more preferably all blades of the mixing device are each associated with a nozzle of the nozzle module, so that a mass fraction of at least 60%, preferably 70%, more preferably 90%, particularly preferably substantially 100% of a fabric mist or spray ejected or injected from the nozzle of the nozzle module, wherein the fabric mist or spray is preferably ejected or injected into an exhaust gas stream, strikes a side surface, in particular a baffle, of the blade.
Such an advantageous assignment, which makes it possible that a substantial part of the spray or fabric mist is crushed at the baffles of the blades and can then evaporate, can be achieved as described above by a corresponding alignment of the nozzle of the nozzle module. However, it is also possible to arrange the blades of the mixing device in the circumferential direction of the body at irregular angular intervals and / or arrange the blades such that at least two of the blades are arranged at an angular distance of 120 ° from each other at the first axial end of the base body. If the blades are arranged distributed at irregular angular intervals over the circumference of the first axial end, then in particular the orientation and distribution of the nozzles on the nozzle module can be taken into account in the arrangement. Furthermore, deflections and tolerances or flow deflections of the substance mist or sprays injected at high exhaust-gas mass flows can be compensated for by the blades arranged at irregular angular intervals on the base body. For example, if the exhaust gas in the exhaust line behind the nozzle module strong turbulence or a strong twisting, so this turbulence or this twisting deflects the emitted from the nozzle module or from the nozzles of the nozzle module fabric mist or spray in the direction of turbulence or twisting of the exhaust gas. Such a deflection can be taken into account by irregular arrangement of the blades, so that despite flow and including tolerances can be ensured that a substantial part of the spray or fabric mist hits the blades or on the baffles or side surfaces of the blades and then evaporated homogeneously. The homogeneous evaporation of the fabric mist or spray has a homogeneous distribution of the fabric mist or spray on the subsequent exhaust gas treatment device result.
Another advantage in the assignment of nozzle and blade is that it can be ensured that the spray or the substance mist of the reducing agent substantially completely meets the blades of the mixing device and thus also substantially completely evaporated. As a result of this substantially complete impact and evaporation, fewer blades are required or the cross-sectional area of the mixing device covered and covered by the blade surface can be limited. This means that it is not necessary to cover the entire cross-sectional area of the mixing device with blades in order to prevent that a fabric mist or spray passage takes place without touching the mixer blades. Due to the uncovered surfaces of the cross section of the mixing device, the exhaust gas flow or the homogeneous exhaust gas-reducing agent mixture can pass through without substantial generation of an increased back pressure, resulting in a reduced exhaust pressure loss and thus a reduced fuel consumption of the engine.
Furthermore, it can be advantageously provided that the nozzle module has three nozzles, which are arranged at an angle of 120 ° to each other, wherein preferably exactly three blades are provided, each of the three blades is associated with a respective nozzle, particularly preferably the three blades Angular distance of substantially, in particular exactly, 120 ° to each other, more preferably exactly three guide elements are provided, which are arranged in the circumferential direction in each case between the blades.
Preferably, the three blades have an angular distance of substantially, in particular exactly, 120 ° to each other when the exhaust gas flow, including tolerances of the injected fabric mist or spray of the reducing agent only slightly or not at all affected the swirl or the deflection. If, on the other hand, larger deflections of the direction of the injection cone of the fabric mist or spray occur, for example as a result of being influenced by the exhaust gas stream, then the blades distributed over the circumference of the mixing device can also be arranged in irregular intervals or only slightly deviating from the 120 ° symmetry. ensuring that a significant portion of the fabric mist or spray hits the blades.
Furthermore, preferably exactly three guide elements are provided, which are arranged in the circumferential direction in each case between the blades. The guide elements can also serve as baffle elements or as guide elements with baffles for the fabric mist or the spray. However, it is preferably provided that the guide elements, which are likewise designed in the form of small blades, to obtain a mixing of the fabric mist or spray, in particular of the vaporized fabric mist or spray with the exhaust gas in the exhaust line. The homogeneous mixing of the fabric mist or spray with the exhaust gas caused by the guide elements achieves a homogeneous distribution of the fabric mist or spray of reducing agent, for example of ammonia, on the downstream exhaust gas treatment device, such as a catalytic converter or a particulate filter.
A further preferred embodiment of the mixer system provides that the nozzle of the nozzle module gives the fabric mist or spray in the exhaust line a twist.
In this way, it can advantageously be effected that the substance mist or the spray is given a twist, which is directed opposite to the exhaust gas turbulence. That is, it will be compensated for flow deflections of the fabric mist or spray. On the other hand, however, it is also possible for the nozzle or injection nozzle to impart to the fabric mist or spray of the reducing agent a twist which is rectified to the turbulences or the flow twist of the exhaust gas. A corresponding rectilinearity of the spray or fabric mist with the exhaust gas has the consequence that less turbulent turbulence within the fabric mist cone or the spray cone occur, so that a significantly bundled injection cone of the fabric mist or spray is ensured. Such a focused or bundled injection cone can be more precisely assigned to a blade of the mixing device. Any deviations or flow deflections of the substance mist cone or spray cone can be compensated by a corresponding arrangement of the blades in the circumferential direction of the mixing device.
Another solution to the problem underlying the invention is obtained by the use of a mixing device or a mixer system as described above.
