Abstract
The invention relates to devices and methods for the optimization of cycle processes for loading or unloading cold latency Exergiespeichern. In particular, the invention relates to a fluid-supported refrigeration compressor system and / or fluid-assisted heat engine, in particular as a charging or discharging device for a cold latex exergy storage device. The charging device can be set up to remove latent heat from the storage medium at solidification temperature and cause solidification or partial solidification of the storage medium (phase transition). The unloading device can be set up to at least partially decouple exergy stored in the ice as useful work. In this case, the charging device and discharger can synergistically use relevant components, in particular heat exchangers, wherein a cold reservoir serves as a heat sink at temperatures below the ambient temperature, so that there is an exergy gradient with respect to the ambient temperature (corresponding to the anergetic reference temperature). Thus, a high efficiency can be achieved and the buffering of exergy in many situations provide energy benefits.
Description
Particular attention is paid to the heat exchangers in process optimization, since only comparatively small temperature differences occur with cold flash exergy storage and therefore very high heat flows are required in relation to the exergetic power, which is why the optimization of the thermal resistance is of great importance for optimizing the processes.
Due to the non-excludable interaction with the environment, a heat exchanger in direct contact of the media is only possible with minimal solubility and toxic harmlessness of the working medium. It also shows that even in the case of immiscible material systems (eg working medium propane against a body of water), a significant loss of working medium is unavoidable. Alternatively, therefore, a classical, physical separation can be ensured, and this is expected to be required by most systems. It is estimated that direct contact of the working fluid with ambient water will not be permitted with any substance system.
Optional separators adjoin the direct contact heat exchangers, which enable phase separation after successful, at least partial condensation or partial evaporation. Since only a maximum of one vapor phase (gaseous working medium), two immiscible liquid phases (liquid working medium and liquid storage medium) and one solid phase (frozen storage medium) are present in all heat exchangers, a phase separation is possible, preferably due to different material densities.

Reine (Strom-)Speicher mit thermischer Ankopplung an eine Umgebung:Pure (electricity) storage with thermal coupling to an environment:
In a pure storage configuration, a large pool is required. The plant is to be provided with a heat pump for the charging process and a heat engine for the unloading process. Optionally, components can be partially used for both parts of the plant, eg. B. the heat exchanger surfaces. It must be implemented in the loading and unloading process large amounts of energy. Therefore, coastal locations are particularly suitable to use the sea as a large and sufficiently powerful anergetic reservoir. It then offers an offshore installation or a floating pool.
Reine (Strom-)Speicher ohne thermische Ankopplung an eine Umgebung:Pure (electricity) storage without thermal coupling to an environment:
In
Kraftwerkspuffer/Kraftwerksbooster:Kraftwerk buffer / power plant Booster:
- 1. At low load, the power surplus from the network or possibly also mechanical excess power can be used to charge the memory. If necessary, very dynamic power plants, eg. B. GUDs are switched off completely at low load, so that their cooling devices for heat dissipation during loading of the memory are available, as in
4 indicated on the left. The storage is then charged by means of external amounts of electricity. - 2. Under higher loads, the power plant will operate normally with its cooling equipment. The memory is neither loaded nor unloaded, as in
4 Middle indicated. - 3. At peak load, the power plant, bypassing the cooling facilities, provides its waste heat to heat a second power plant stage (booster stage) to the cold latency store, as in
4 indicated on the right. Since the waste heat level of the power plant has a relation to the environment increased temperature, an improved efficiency of the additional stage / booster stage can be achieved. It is thus possible a positive exergy balance, if the memory could be charged at significantly lower waste heat temperature.
Ankopplung an Geothermie oder andere niederexergetische Wärmequellen:Coupling to geothermal or other low-energy heat sources:
Nutzung des Prozesses in weiteren Anwendungen:Use of the process in other applications:
B. in:
- • Refrigerators: direct contact heat exchanger cold side, inside.
- • Heat pumps: direct contact heat exchanger on the hot side with downstream second cooling circuit.
- • Ice heating: Direct contact heat exchanger with water / ice storage medium.
- • Air conditioners: Direct contact heat exchanger hot side with downstream second cooling circuit and direct contact heat exchanger cold side, inside.
