Description
The invention relates to a method for the removal of high-pressure stored gas from a storage device according to the closer defined in the preamble of
Devices for storing gas under high pressure, in particular hydrogen or compressed natural gas, for example for use as fuel in vehicles, are known from the general state of the art. These devices typically include one or more compressed gas reservoirs which are provided for receiving the high pressure stored gas. Normal pressures for compressed natural gas are on the order of 260 bar nominal pressure, for hydrogen in the size pressure of 700 bar nominal pressure. However, higher pressures are also conceivable.
The individual compressed gas storage devices typically have so-called on-tank valves, ie valve devices integrated into the connecting pieces of the compressed gas container. It is the desire and the idea to set the pressure directly after this tank valve, ie immediately following the compressed gas container, to a low constant pressure, which then via a low-pressure line at a pressure of for example 10 bar the corresponding system, such as a fuel cell system, an internal combustion engine or the like, can be supplied. In order to be able to store higher amounts of gas distributed over the available installation space, for example in a vehicle, a plurality of compressed gas containers or compressed gas containers combined into groups are frequently provided in such storage devices. Each of the compressed gas containers or each of the groups of compressed gas containers then has a device for reducing pressure, which is designed, for example, as a tank valve or in the case of a group of compressed gas reservoirs as a pressure regulating valve connected to the compressed gas containers via high-pressure lines. The problem with this is that it is often not possible to always remove the same amount of gas from the individual pressure gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers via the pressure control valves. In particular, due to the variation in the manufacturing tolerances in the individual devices for reducing pressure, differences arise, which ultimately lead to individual compressed gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers being emptied to different extents. This is undesirable and should be avoided if possible.
This is the object of the present invention, namely to provide a method and a device which allows a very uniform emptying of the compressed gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers in a device for storing gas under high pressure.
According to the invention this object is achieved by a method having the features in
In the method according to the invention, it is provided that, in addition to the conventional construction, a detection device is used by means of which the extraction quantity from the respective compressed gas container or the respective group of compressed gas containers can be deduced. The device for pressure reduction associated with the respective compressed gas container or the respective group of pressurized gas containers is then set as a function of the detected removal quantity by means of a correction function so that the pressurized gas containers or groups of pressurized gas containers are emptied uniformly. The inventive method thus measures, at least indirectly, the removal amount from the respective compressed gas containers. This can be done either with a detection device which is associated with the respective compressed gas tank or the respective group of compressed gas tanks. Alternatively, it would also be possible to do this with a single detection device in the region of the extraction line, in which case a sequential switching through of the removal from the individual compressed gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers would be necessary so as to supply the measured value to the respective compressed gas container or the respective group of Assign compressed gas containers. Subsequently, on the basis of the quantity determined by the detection device, the device for pressure reduction is set so that production-related tolerances, wear and the like in the device for pressure reduction are compensated. Thus, there is an adaptive adaptation of all devices for reducing pressure to the current conditions, so that a uniform removal of gas from all gas cylinders or groups of gas cylinders can be achieved.
According to a very favorable and advantageous development of the method according to the invention, temperature sensors in the respective compressed gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers can be used as the detection device. Temperature sensors are in the vast majority of cases in the pressure gas container installed anyway. Typically, they are installed in the tank valves and are read out via a data line from a controller connected to the tank valve. Such a temperature measurement now allows a conclusion on the amount removed in the respective compressed gas tank in a very simple and efficient manner, especially in the typically existing structures, without additional sensor.
As an alternative or, if appropriate, in addition thereto, provision may additionally be made for a diaphragm, a valve or a nozzle to be used as detection device. The amount can also be detected by means of a pressure drop at a metering orifice, a nozzle or a valve working with a defined opening cross section. For this purpose, as already mentioned, a single or each of the compressed gas tank or each group of the compressed gas tank associated device can be used.
The structure works so that both parallel and sequential gas from the individual gas cylinders or groups of gas cylinders can be removed. According to a particularly favorable development of the structure according to the invention, however, it is the case that removal from the individual compressed gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers takes place sequentially, at least for a short duration for calibrating the devices for reducing the pressure. Such a sequential extraction has the advantage that the output pressure causes no additional uncertainty factor. As a result, an even higher accuracy of the correction function and thus ultimately an even better uniform distribution in the removal of the stored gas from the individual pressure gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers is achieved.
According to an advantageous development of this idea, it may be the case that only from time to time during the removal a calibration takes place during a short duration of the sequential removal, after which the removal from all compressed gas containers or groups of compressed gas containers takes place in parallel again in other operation.
Another possibility, which can be used in addition or as an alternative to this, can now also provide that additional variables are included in the correction function, which for example are incorporated directly into a corrective calculation or also via maps into a correction of the correction function. Conceivable variables would be the ambient temperature of the compressed gas container or the group of compressed gas containers, the storage volume, the design or the temperature in the pressurized gas container or group of pressurized gas containers, if this is not used as a measure for the removal itself. Other conceivable sizes would be, for example, the installation situation, which is directly related to the possibility of cooling the compressed gas container, and which in particular can be taken into account together with the ambient temperature. In addition, desired and actual pressures can be used both in the compressed gas containers and in the region of the low-pressure line which connects the compressed gas container with the withdrawal line to make a mathematical adaptation of the correction function individually to the respective compressed gas container and / or the group of compressed gas containers can.
The device according to the invention for storing gas under high pressure, it now accordingly provides that a plurality of pressurized gas containers or groups of pressurized gas containers are present, each of the pressurized gas container or each group of pressurized gas container has a device for reducing the pressure of the withdrawn gas, and that these low pressure lines with a central sampling line are connected. According to the invention, at least one detection device is provided which detects the removal quantity from the respective compressed gas container or the respective group of compressed gas containers at least indirectly. In addition, a control device is provided, which controls the means for reducing the pressure as a function of the detected quantity. With this device, the method described above can be ideally implemented.
According to a further very advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention, it is now further provided that each of the compressed gas container has its own temperature sensor for detecting the temperature in the compressed gas container. This temperature sensor is ideally suited as a detection device in order to indirectly calculate back to the removal amount from the respective compressed gas container or the respective group of compressed gas containers.
In a further very favorable embodiment of the device according to the invention, it can further be provided that each of the pressure-reducing devices has a possibility for influencing its stroke and / or its restoring forces. Such a possibility for adjusting the stroke and / or the restoring forces, ultimately the spring characteristic of the device for reducing pressure, can be provided, for example, electrically and simply in an otherwise mechanically automatically operating device for reducing pressure, simply and efficiently. In particular, if this is arranged in a tank valve, which in any case via a control connection with a control unit is connected via this control terminal, both the control of the device for Druckreuzierung as well as the passing of the temperature values, which can be used very easily to determine the withdrawal amount, be provided. This results in a simple and efficient construction, which can be used in particular for use in a vehicle which is driven by the gas stored under high pressure, for example a vehicle powered by a fuel cell system with hydrogen as a stored gas.
In addition to a fuel cell vehicle, of course, the application in other structural structures is conceivable, for example in a vehicle which is driven by an internal combustion engine with stored compressed natural gas or stored under high pressure hydrogen. The application in stationary systems for processing gases stored under high pressure, in particular hydrogen, is conceivable.
