Dem Dichtungselement kommt somit eine Doppelfunktion zu, da es einerseits zum Abdichten der Aufnahmeöffnung und andererseits zum Abdichten des Lagerelements gegen den Zylinderkopf verwendet wird. Somit lassen sich diese beiden Abdichtungen mittels des einen Dichtungselements realisieren.
