Abstract
The invention relates to a textile floor covering, in particular for use in the interior of aircraft, on the underside or rear side additionally a nonwoven fabric is applied, which is coated with a water-based acrylate dispersion (acrylic latex coating). In this case, the acrylate dispersion has penetrated only to a certain depth in the nonwoven fabric. This ensures that the floor covering has a high resistance to soil adhesion and rests without slipping without the need for additional means (eg Velcro strips). Moreover, when used in the aircraft sector, all relevant fire safety requirements are met.
Description
The invention relates to a textile floor covering, in particular for use in the interior of aircraft, wherein the top of the textile floor covering is produced either as a pile fabric or flat fabric by the weaving process or as a tufted carpet by the tufting process and for incorporating the fibers of the warp and weft threads or the Pile threads a primer coating is present.
Such woven or tufted textile floor coverings are well known. In the weaving process, two squares extending at right angles to one another are used to form a carpet pile at the top (wearer) intended for use, the longitudinal warp yarn system consisting of a pile of fibers incorporated in a backing, a tie-chain and a base warp, and transverse thereto Weft thread system consists of weft threads, so that the binder and the ground warp threads together with the weft threads form the base fabric of the floor covering.
In the production of a woven carpet with the rod weaving technique, a simple compartment is formed from the threads of the basic and binding chain, into which the weft thread is inserted by the weaver. At the same time, the pile-forming pile threads form a second pocket into which a fixed rod, the so-called rod, is inserted parallel above the weft thread. The rod over which the pile threads are laid forms a loop. If, after a few more shoot and rod entries, the first inserted rod is pulled out again, the three-dimensional construction of a pile fabric arises. The density of the so-called rod carpet depends on the thread density of the pile threads in the longitudinal direction or on the entries of the transverse thread systems in the so-called weft. If in the weaving technique, the aforementioned pole-forming rod is not registered, it is called a flat fabric. In this case, the polbildenden threads are directly on the ground fabric. Flat fabrics are thus fabric fabrics which have no pile, so have a smooth to very textured fabric surface. It is also possible to produce a flat fabric without a basic chain, ie only two thread systems are present, namely the binding and the so-called Polkette. Other features of the aforementioned weaving methods are known per se and therefore need not be described in detail here.
The same applies to textile floor coverings which are produced using tufting technology and are therefore also called tufted carpets. Compared to woven carpet coverings, the tufting technique enables much higher performance and very large fabric widths. By "tufts" is meant in the manufacture of carpet the mechanical introduction of pile threads by means of a plurality of juxtaposed tufting needles in a carrier material over the entire width of the fabric. The base material is usually a woven fabric, a spun-bonded material (that is, a nonwoven material such as nonwoven material), or combinations thereof, and is referred to as a make-up. The tufting needles of a tufting machine are arranged according to the width of the carpet to be produced and simultaneously pierce through the carrier or base material. Thus, a pile yarn is drawn through a needle eye contained in the tufting needle, whereupon the tufting needle pierces the pile material with the pile yarn drawn in the eye. On the underside of the carrier or base material, that is on the later upper side of the tufted carpet, a gripper holds the resulting loop or loop (polyp) and at the same time fixes the so-called pile height. The pile or pile thread is held by the gripper until the tufting needle attaches to the next stitch. This forms the loops, which ultimately form the wear layer or top of the goods. The length of the pile threads or loops determines the pile or pile height. The tufting needles then slide out of the carrier material, where the thread is held by the clamping force of the carrier material, back to the starting position. Now the base fabric for the next loop formation is further transported according to the pile density in the warp direction to deliver the pile yarn for a double pile height. It thus created in this way a textile floor covering, which can also be described as Schlingenflorteppich.
The carpet pile can be made in two forms, namely closed or cut. To achieve a closed pile ("loop pile"), the grippers release the loop in a pendulum motion. If the noose is cut open by a knife, a cut pile is created (also called velor carpet or "cut pile"). For this purpose, in addition to the aforementioned grippers, which are in the opposite direction to the "loop pile" grippers, special knives are still used. After forming about three to four rows of loops, we cut through the first loop. This known tufting method can be varied by various pile densities and stitch densities in the introduction of the corresponding pile material.
In order to fix the needled or tufted pile yarn with the Erstrücken, still a second back must be applied. The pile yarn is fixed with the outrun by a base coat is applied. It is then either directly in the wet primer applied the order of another so-called adhesive coating mixture for the attachment or the adhesion of the so-called second back. In the thus applied so-called adhesive mixture of the secondary backing is inserted in order to achieve a good lamination with the emergence. This method, which has long been known per se, is also called "laminating".
The base coat in a carpet or floor covering produced by the weaving or tufting process is usually realized by two methods. One approach is to flatten a basecoat agent by means of a roller rotating in a container with the basecoat agent contained therein. The paving is done so on the angular velocity of the roller, whereby the base coating agent is applied to the back of the carpet flooring. In addition to the primer coat, it also prevents part of the fire load of the synthetic or natural fiber material used in the floor covering. This can be achieved for example by halogen-containing or oxygen-binding coating materials. Furthermore, products are used with spring water-releasing fillers. A second procedure is carried out so that the carpet flooring runs in this finishing process with his pile fabric pointing down through a corresponding production plant and this is applied to the primer to be applied from above the back of the carpet. Both procedures serve to incorporate the basecoat agent as deeply as possible into the base fabric, so that binding of the individual fibers (capillary) is ensured by the base coat. This integration is also important for obtaining the fiber material during subsequent use or inspection of the carpet flooring.

The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a textile floor covering of the type mentioned above, which can be safely secured without the use of additional funds on the ground, the edges do not fray, so that the floor covering no longer needs to be linked, and at the same time meets the highest requirements in terms of wear resistance, dimensional stability and walking or Begehkomforts, which also meets the relevant fire safety requirements for use in aircraft.
This object is achieved with a textile floor covering of the type mentioned according to the invention in that on the underside or back of the textile floor covering additionally a nonwoven fabric is applied, which on its side facing the floor when laying side with a water-based acrylate dispersion is coated (acrylic latex coating), wherein the water-based acrylate dispersion has penetrated only to a certain depth in the nonwoven fabric. This acrylate dispersion has special properties and, according to the invention, causes the textile floor covering to exhibit a very high resistance to soil adhesion on its own. When laying such a floor covering according to the invention on a smooth floor, such as the smooth bottom or web plates in the interior of an aircraft, therefore, no additional means such as Velcro or any adhesive must be used for attachment. Rather, the acrylatex coating according to the invention itself has a non-slip effect, so that the floor covering can be easily installed and so by itself rests on the floor slip-resistant. It is important for the acrylic latex coating according to the invention, moreover, that this is applied only on one side. This self-adhesion of the floor covering according to the invention means that it remains in place when applying horizontal forces in place, so does not slip. This liability is in any case sufficient to guarantee a perfect lying quality of the Fußodenbelags when laying in an aircraft. As has been found in corresponding experiments by the applicant, the adhesive shear forces of the floor covering according to the invention with a corresponding load and a floor covering size of 60 × 60 cm are approximately 120 kp. This also illustrates the enormous adhesive strength of the floor covering in the horizontal direction.
The self-adhesion of the floor covering is inventively also achieved in that the hydrous acrylate dispersion does not penetrate over the entire thickness or height in the nonwoven fabric, but only to a certain depth or height thereof, so as to form a self-adhesive, non-slip layer , In a preferred embodiment of the textile floor covering according to the invention, the penetration depth of the acrylatex coating in the nonwoven fabric is about 50% of the height or thickness thereof. Incidentally, the above-mentioned 50% penetration of the acrylic latex coating in the nonwoven fabric causes a certain density, that is, density. H. a certain Trittelastizität, whereby a particularly high walking comfort is achieved. In addition, the effect is additionally achieved that, unlike the previously known textile floor coverings of this type, a high edge or edge strength is achieved and it does not come to the often annoying fraying of the edges or edges and thus the time-consuming Ketteln such floor coverings is dispensable.
The inventively proposed hydrous acrylate dispersion is not new in itself. Such a product is offered for example by BASF under the brand name "Texapret ®". It is therefore an aqueous dispersion of a carboxyl group-containing acrylic acid ester copolymer. So far, however, this product has been used for purposes other than those mentioned in this patent application.
The acrylate dispersion produced by the company BASF has a certain tackiness, whereby the slip-resistant effect is achieved for the textile floor covering according to the invention. Despite this tackiness, this material is soft and elastic, which is also important for use in the textile floor covering according to the invention. It should be noted that the question Acrylatex material can be applied not only as an aqueous solution, but also in a foamed state on the nonwoven fabric. Incidentally, the intensity or the degree of stickiness and thus the inherent adhesion of the acrylic latex coating can be varied by selecting different product specifications of the acrylate dispersion.
To be particularly advantageous has been found to produce a textile floor covering so that its acrylic latex coating has a basis weight in the range between 20 and 100 g / m 2 . This weight per unit area is preferably 60 g / m 2 . With such a basis weight results in a particularly good horizontal adhesion and thus skid resistance. The above basis weight data are those in the dry state (dry substance) of the acrylic latex coating.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the floor covering according to the invention, it is proposed that its upper side be woven or tufted only with yarns of polyester material and the nonwoven fabric consist only of polyester fibers or recycled polyester fibers. This composition has the advantage that all used in the floor covering yarns and fasting consist of only one material, namely polyester material, whereby a complete and cost-effective recyclability of the floor covering is possible because complex separation processes are avoided in recycling. In this case, already recycled polyester fibers can be used in the production of the textile floor covering for the nonwoven fabric. For example, for a woven textile floor covering in the basic chain, a material with 100% polyester, with a metric number of 10/4, in the binding chain 100% polyester - 10/2 times, and in the weft 100% - 10/2 times. All yarns are spun material.
It is also advantageous to use the entire textile floor covering with polyamide material Thus, by its top in weaving or tufting is made only with yarns of polyamide material and the nonwoven fabric consists only of polyamide fibers or recycled polyamide fibers. Even with this use of polyamide material results in a high recyclability, since polyamide can be recycled particularly well. In addition, the use of polyamide fibers in the pile fabric leads to a higher wear resistance of the textile floor covering, in particular in comparison to pile fabrics, in which wool is used as material. It is particularly noteworthy that, especially when using the polyamide material as continuous fibers, either woven or tufted carpet or floor coverings, an additional extension of the service life or life is achieved. It is also possible to use a 100% polyamide continuous material, which is recycled material. This also causes a particularly high sustainability of the floor covering according to the invention in ecological terms. It is also possible to use blends of wool material and nylon continuous filament yarn for pile formation to make the carpet flooring of the present invention. It is also possible, in the pole, which can be produced both as a pile fabric or flat fabric, yarns consisting of 100% wool (with the above zirconium finish) or blends with, for example, 80% wool and 20% polyamide, 60% wool and 40% polyamide or other mixing ratios of wool or polyamide material. In the above-mentioned use of continuous material, the spun material is twisted with an endless thread, whereby a particularly high durability of serving as the top layer of the floor covering in use arises. The twisted material may be, for example, a polyamide material having a denier of 1000 dtex. This titer has 42 single capillaries (filaments) and is twisted 4 times (F42 × 4).
This means that in such a case a pile material with 4000 dtex would be used. When using such a material of polyamide, this would mean in the woven carpet described above that this has a titer of 1000 dtex times 4 in the base chain and in each case a titer of 1000
The recyclability or sustainability is therefore given in the two aforementioned product variants by the separate use or processing of polyester and polyamide material. This achieves a resource conservation, which today is known to have the greatest importance.
By attaching the nonwoven fabric to the textile floor covering and the materials used in this invention according to the invention, moreover, a 100% dimensional stability of the same is achieved, so that even a subsequent cleaning of the same causes no lasting changes. The textile floor covering according to the invention can therefore be very well cleaned, and even wet clean or wash. Moreover, he dries very quickly after such a wet cleaning.
In the aforementioned embodiments, in which the nonwoven fabric consists of recycled polyester fibers or polyamide fibers, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if this nonwoven fabric then has a basis weight in the range between 100 and 200 g / m 2 .
To produce the textile floor covering according to the invention, it is proposed in a preferred embodiment that the nonwoven fabric coated on one side with a water-based acrylate dispersion is bonded to the base coating of the textile floor covering by means of a hotmelt coating produced using the known "hotmelt process" , This connection with the known hotmelt technology, ie the merging of the fibrous web with the actual floor covering is easy to handle and proven production technology. Moreover, the hotmelt coating also has an anti-flame effect, which in turn is important for meeting the fire safety requirements, in particular for aircraft. The hotmelt coating, however, eliminates above all the otherwise required bordering on the edges of the textile floor covering, which is done today by means of gluing or with a binding tape. The use of corresponding Kettelgarnen is otherwise problematic insofar as they must be provided with special equipment to meet the required fire safety standards in the aircraft sector. In addition, today often so-called cross-stitching machines and high-twisted yarns are used for Ketteln, so for bordering the edges or edges, with which these edges or edges are solidified. Due to the hotmelt coating, which causes an adhesive force, all this is avoided and there is no fraying of the threads from the thread composite more when walking the laid floor covering.
To produce a floor covering with the aforementioned hotmelt process, a special system is also proposed according to the invention, in which a textile roll covering, initially provided with only the base coat, is stored so that a hotmelt device equipped with an extruder is present under which the textile floor covering with its rear side facing upward, it is moved substantially horizontally past, so that a thermoplastic material contained in the hotmelt device and applied by the extruder as extruder film is applied from above onto the base coating of the textile floor covering, that the system furthermore has a calender roller pair includes, to which the textile floor covering is further transported, wherein shortly before reaching the calender rolls already provided with the acrylic latex coating and coming from a roll arranged above nonwoven fabric is merged with the aforementioned extruder film and the resulting textile floor covering between the two calender rolls passes through which connect the various layers or layers by pressing firmly together, and that finally belongs to the system arranged behind the calender rollers cooling unit, in which the textile floor covering passes and where the hotmelt Coating cools and hardens. On such a system can thus continuously and with relatively high process speed, an inventive textile floor covering with all, already mentioned advantages are produced. Merging the top of the textile floor covering and the nonwoven fabric by means of the hotmelt coating works particularly well when a thermoplastic polyolefin powder is used as the hotmelt material. This polyolefin powder is a low viscosity polymer product that is commercially available. Its melting range is preferably about 70-88 ° C and its heat resistance preferably up to 50-60 ° C. For application or adhesive application, the polyolefin powder should be used in a temperature range of 75-95 ° C. This laminating process with a polyolefin lamination is also particularly suitable in terms of fire resistance. Advantageous is therefore the already mentioned flame retardancy of such an extruder film of polyolefin material. Moreover, the two calender rollers ensure a firm, secure connection of the two components.
Furthermore, a method for producing a textile floor covering with the hotmelt coating is proposed on the system described above, according to which is stored on a roll of only initially provided only with the base coat textile flooring wrapped and this textile floor covering with its back to the top pointing under a equipped with an extruder hotmelt device is moved substantially horizontally over, so that a contained in the hotmelt device and heated thermoplastic material is applied by the extruder as extruder film from the top of the base coating of the textile floor covering that the textile floor covering is then transported to a Kalanderwalzenpaar further, wherein shortly before reaching the calender rolls already provided with the acrylic latex coating and coming from a roll arranged above non-woven fabric with the aforementioned Extruderfi lm is merged and the resulting textile floor covering passes between the two calender rolls, which connect the various layers or layers firmly by pressing together, and that the textile floor covering then passes into a cooling unit, where the hotmelt coating cools and hardens.
The invention further comprises methods for producing a nonwoven fabric coated on one side with the acrylate dispersion for the textile floor covering as well as corresponding installations which operate according to the "plodding method" or the "top-down method". These two types of processes are already known per se in the textile industry, but have not been used for a floor covering according to the invention.
Aufschlagen einer Flüssigkeit”.A plant according to the invention for producing a nonwoven fabric coated on one side with an acrylate dispersion for a floor covering according to the invention with the "plodding process" is designed such that the initially uncoated fiber fleece is stored wound on a roll and is transported substantially horizontally from there, wherein the side of the fibrous web to be coated faces downwardly, the system further comprises a trough over which the fibrous web is guided and in which is the water-based acrylate dispersion and a rotating tufting roll which is disposed just below the fibrous web in such a way that the rotation of the trowel roller causes the water-based acrylate dispersion from the trough to be introduced into the nonwoven fabric from below, and finally a drying unit belongs to the system in which the nonwoven fabric coated in this way is dried. Accordingly, the manufacturing method according to the invention with the Pflatsch technique provides that the initially uncoated nonwoven fabric is stored on a roll stored and from there is moved substantially horizontally forward, wherein the side to be coated of the nonwoven fabric facing down, that the nonwoven fabric then over a Trough in which there are the water-based acrylate dispersion and a rotating Pflatsch roller, which is located just below the fibrous web, so that by the rotation of the paddling roller, the water-based acrylate dispersion from the pan from below into the Nonwoven fabric is introduced, and that the so coated nonwoven fabric is then dried in a drying unit. By Pflatsch method is a particularly good penetration of the acrylate dispersion in the Fiber fleece reached. At the same time, the penetration depth of the acrylate dispersion in the nonwoven fabric can be well controlled. Incidentally, in textile technology, the term "patting" means about as much as "a clapping application or whipping of a liquid".
In the alternative plant according to the invention, the application of the nonwoven fabric with the acrylate dispersion takes place by means of the so-called "top-down method". This means that the acrylate dispersion is applied from above, on the relevant, to be coated side of the fibrous web. Such a plant for production according to the top-down method is designed so that the initially uncoated nonwoven fabric is stored wound on a roll and from there is transported substantially horizontally forward, wherein the side to be coated of the nonwoven fabric facing up, that the plant also comprises a reservoir under which the fibrous web is guided and in which is the water-based acrylate dispersion, which is applied by a hose and a squeegee located at the end of the top of the nonwoven fabric, and finally to the plant Drying unit belongs, in which the so-coated nonwoven fabric is dried. Accordingly, a production method for inventive nonwoven fabric with the top-down method is proposed, wherein the initially uncoated nonwoven fabric is stored wound on a roll and from there is transported substantially horizontally forward, wherein the side to be coated of the nonwoven fabric facing up, that the non-woven fabric is then passed under a reservoir in which the water-based acrylate dispersion is, which is applied by a hose and a squeegee at the end of the top of the nonwoven fabric, and that the so coated nonwoven fabric is then dried in a drying unit ,
It should be expressly pointed out at this point that the inventive textile floor covering is particularly suitable for use in aircraft. However, it is also everywhere else applicable, so for example in the floor area of vehicles, such as cars, rail vehicles and ships, especially since there are appropriate fire protection regulations and slip resistance on the subfloor is equally important. The advantages already described above therefore apply not only to aircraft, but equally in other areas, especially in other vehicles.
The invention will now be explained below with reference to schematic drawings.
