The present invention further relates to a method for the measurement of a spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L.
For the non-contact measurement of a spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L hitherto thermographic cameras are used, which detect the electromagnetic radiation emitted by a measuring object in the infrared wavelength range with a matrix-like constructed detector. The intensity of the incident on the respective matrix or detector element electromagnetic radiation is determined. The measured radiation intensity is then assigned a temperature according to a predetermined physical model. The disadvantage, however, is that the temperature determined in this way with conventional thermographic cameras strongly depends on the emissivity and the surface quality of the object to be measured. Any foreign bodies, such as dust particles or water droplets, between the measuring object and the camera lens also influence the intensity or temperature measurement. In addition, the temperature of a measurement object is often subject to temporal variations, which can often be detected only insufficiently by the slowly reacting detectors of the thermographic cameras. This often leads to the fact that the temperature distributions determined with conventional thermographic cameras are very inaccurate and unsuitable for many applications.
More precisely than with thermographic cameras, a temperature can generally be determined using known pyrometers, in particular with Ouotientenpyrometern, which determine not the absolute intensity of the radiation but the ratio of the intensities in closely adjacent or overlapping spectral regions. However, other 2-channel or multichannel (multispectral) pyrometers are also contemplated for use with the present invention. However, by way of example only, the present invention will hereinafter be described primarily with reference to a quotient pyrometer, which in any case represents a preferred embodiment. However, the invention also includes devices of the above-mentioned type which use a different type of pyrometer. In particular, it is ultimately about the fact that pyrometers on the one hand are very accurate temperature measuring devices, on the other hand always detect temperatures only more or less punctual, and thus are not suitable as such for the direct measurement of a large-scale temperature distribution.
A quotient pyrometer has at least two sensor elements or partial sensors, which are designed for the measurement of each wavelength range. From the ratio of the values determined with the sensor elements and the Planck radiation law can be deduced on the temperature of the measurement object, instead of the Planck's law of radiation or in addition to correction functions and modifications or approximations, such as the Wien's law of displacement, the Rayleigh-Jeans-Law or the Stefan Boltzmann law can be considered. If variations in the emissivity and in the surface quality of the measurement object are equally effective in both measured wavelength ranges, ie are wavelength- or color-neutral, a quotient pyrometer can be used to measure a temperature which is independent of other properties of the measurement object. The sensor elements or partial sensors of a quotient pyrometer will be described in the following as far as it does not depend on a differentiation of the sensor elements, summarized as a "sensor" of the quotient pyrometer.
However, conventional pyrometers are unsuitable for the measurement of a spatially resolved temperature distribution of larger surfaces or objects, since they measure the temperature relatively accurately, but only to a very limited extent locally. However, a scanning measurement of a larger object with a pyrometer, in particular a quotient pyrometer, for producing a spatially resolved temperature distribution does not make sense, since a corresponding scanning device is complex and expensive for this purpose and the respective measurement is time-consuming. The effort would be even higher for a measuring arrangement in which a large number of quotient pyrometers would have to be combined to form a surface detector constructed in the manner of a matrix.
It is therefore desirable to provide an imaging device for measuring a spatially resolved temperature distribution and a corresponding method suitable for measuring a spatially resolved temperature distribution and is inexpensive to produce. In addition, the number of necessary for the realization of such a device components should be reduced. In addition, a goal to be achieved is that the device enables a rapid or quasi-continuous measurement of a spatially resolved temperature distribution.
It is accordingly an object of the present invention to overcome at least one of the above problems.
This object is achieved by a device having the features mentioned in the introduction, which detects the maximum intensity I i in the partial area i 'in a partial area i' of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L comprising the predetermined measuring field i and assigns the reference temperature θ i , wherein a calibration module is provided, which in operation, based on the at least one measured value pair (θ i , I i ) and a predetermined approximation function F (I L , (θ i , I i )) assigns each value of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L a temperature θ L.
The imaging device proposed according to the invention combines the advantages of an imaging detector for the measurement of a spatially resolved intensity distribution I L with the advantages of a (quotient) pyrometer which selectively determines an exact temperature θ i . Both an elaborate scanning of the measurement object with a single quotient pyrometer and the use of a large number of quotient pyrometers can thus be avoided.
The electromagnetic radiation originating from a region A of a measurement object is detected by the imaging detector which, during operation, provides a spatially resolved intensity distribution I L of this radiation. The spatially resolved intensity distribution I L corresponds to an image of the region A of the measurement object. An imaging chip, for example a CCD chip, can be used as the imaging detector.
With the radiation-sensitive sensor of the likewise provided pyrometer, a reference temperature θ i can be measured and provided during operation for at least one predetermined measurement field i within the region A. According to the operation of a quotient pyrometer, the measured reference temperature θ i corresponds to the maximum temperature in the measurement field i, which can be measured with a quotient pyrometer with high accuracy. Thus, a simultaneous measurement of both the intensity distribution I L and at least one reference temperature θ i is possible.
Jedenfalls sollte das vorbestimmte Messfeld i innerhalb des Teilbereiches i’ liegen. The predetermined measurement field i corresponds to a section of the region A of the measurement object and is therefore generally much smaller than the region A. The measurement field i is further associated with a partial region i 'of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L , which includes the measurement field i and preferably with this matches and thus approximately the same section of the region A of the measurement object. In this case, it makes sense if the subarea i 'and the measuring field i are essentially the same size, so that their measured values are to be assigned to the electromagnetic radiation approximately at the same place of origin. In any case, the predetermined measurement field i should be within the subrange i '. The assignment of measuring field i and partial region i 'of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L can be realized optically, mechanically, electrotechnically and / or image processing technology, as long as it is ensured that they reflect at least approximately the same origin of the radiation. In operation, like the i determined for the measuring field reference temperature i and the maximum 'measured in the partial area i intensity I i of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L θ a pair of measured values (θ i, I i) are formed. Based on the at least one pair of measured values (θ i , I i ) and a predetermined approximation function F (I L , (θ i , I i )), a value can be assigned to each value of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L using a calibration module, so that the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L is converted into a spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L.
As an approximation function F, for example, Planck's law of radiation and / or modifications thereof can be used. Other approximations, correction functions, physical and / or mathematical models describing a relationship between radiation intensity and temperature and as discussed above may also be used.
It is understood that the use of exactly one predetermined measuring field i and an associated subarea i 'of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L , ie exactly one measured value pair (θ i , I i ), is sufficient to use the predetermined approximation function F to determine the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L in FIG to transfer a spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L. However, additional pairs of measured values can also be used for calibration in order to increase the accuracy of the approximation. Individual measuring fields i and their corresponding partial regions i 'can also overlap.
In order that the measured values of the imaging detector and the reference temperature measured with the radiation-sensitive sensor can be correlated better, it is advantageous if the imaging detector and the radiation-sensitive sensor of the quotient pyrometer are each used to measure at least partially overlapping wavelength ranges are designed, so have an at least partially overlapping spectral sensitivity. The greater the correspondence between the measurable wavelength ranges of the imaging detector and the radiation-sensitive sensor of the quotient pyrometer, the more accurate the measured intensities can be assigned to corresponding temperature values.
In one embodiment, therefore, a spectral filter is provided in the beam path in front of the imaging detector whose spectral passband essentially corresponds to the spectral sensitivity of the radiation-sensitive sensor of the quotient pyrometer. Additionally or alternatively, the imaging detector can be selected such that it has a spectral sensitivity that essentially corresponds to the spectral sensitivity of the radiation-sensitive sensor. The spectral filter can also be a daylight filter for filtering out the daylight or the ambient light.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the radiation-sensitive sensor has a spectral sensitivity in the wavelength range of 0.3 μm to 2.0 μm inclusive, preferably a first partial sensor with a spectral sensitivity in the range of 0.7 μm to 1.1 μm inclusive, and a second partial sensor having a spectral sensitivity in the range of 0.95 microns to 1.1 microns inclusive.
Further, the accuracy of the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L can be improved if, as in one embodiment, an optic is provided which originates from the region A of the measurement object electromagnetic radiation in the vertical incident radiation on the imaging detector and corresponding to the predetermined measurement field i also in the perpendicular radiation incident on the radiation-sensitive sensor of the quotient pyrometer maps. An optical system for imaging with a radiation incidence perpendicular to the sensor surface ensures that the images on the imaging detector and the radiation-sensitive sensor are substantially distortion-free.
In a further embodiment, it is provided that the calibration module is connected to an image processing module in such a way that during operation the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L can be reworked. In particular, with the image processing module the at least one measurement field i can be assigned to a partial area i 'of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L determined with the imaging detector, or the assignment can be corrected and / or adjusted. In addition, the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L , the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L and / or areas thereof image processing technology, for example, with image filters, post-processed and z. B. converted into a false color representation.
According to a further embodiment, the calibration module and / or the image processing module is suitable for the continuous provision of a spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L , for example in the form of a video signal.
Moreover, it is provided in one embodiment that the calibration module and / or the image processing module is / are set up in such a way that at least one region of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L can be processed by image processing during operation of the device.
In particular, it is the advantage of an embodiment that the temperature θ i measured with the radiation-sensitive sensor of the pyrometer, the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L and / or the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L can be represented and processed separately.
In another embodiment, an alarm generator is provided, which is set up in such a way that it determines a temperature for at least one predetermined region ROI (ROI = region of interest) of the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L and compares this with at least one predetermined desired value a predetermined deviation between temperature and setpoint of the alarm signaled an alarm condition. Temperatures from one or more subregions of the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L can thus be compared with one or more setpoint values in order, for example, to control process sequences. Individual alarm states can thereby haptically, visually and / or acoustically of the Alarms are signaled. Also, the alarm device may have a limit switch, which triggers when a predetermined deviation is reached and so interrupts, for example, a process flow.
In yet another embodiment, the device is designed in such a way that a predetermined measuring field i and the associated partial region i 'of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L lie in a central region of the region A. In particular, for applications in which the maximum temperature in the central region of the region A is to be expected, the maximum temperature of the region A and the correspondingly determined maximum intensity can be taken into account as measured value pair (θ i , I i ) in the approximation function.
- a) Erfassen einer ortsaufgelösten Intensitätsverteilung IL aus einer Region A eines Messobjektes stammenden elektromagnetischen Strahlung mit dem bildgebenden Detektor;
- b) Erfassen einer Referenztemperatur θi für mindestens ein vorbestimmtes, innerhalb der Region A liegendes Messfeld i mit dem strahlungsempfindlichen Sensor;
- c) Bestimmen eines Teilbereiches i’ der ortsaufgelösten Intensitätsverteilung IL, welcher das Messfeld i umfasst;
- d) Bilden eines Messwertepaares (θi, Ii) aus der Referenztemperatur θi und der maximalen innerhalb des Teilbereiches i’ gemessenen Intensität Ii;
- a) detecting a spatially resolved intensity distribution I L from a region A of a measurement object originating electromagnetic radiation with the imaging detector;
- b) detecting a reference temperature θ i for at least one predetermined, within the region A lying measuring field i with the radiation-sensitive sensor;
- c) determining a partial region i 'of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L , which comprises the measuring field i;
- d) forming a measured value pair (θ i , I i ) from the reference temperature θ i and the maximum intensity I i measured within the subrange i ';
- e) assigning each intensity value of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L to the corresponding temperature with a calibration module, based on the at least one determined measured value pair (θ i , I i ) and a predetermined approximation function F (I L , (θ i , I i )) ,
- f) provision of a spectral filter that limits the electromagnetic radiation impinging on the imaging detector to a wavelength range substantially corresponding to the spectral sensitivity of the radiation-sensitive sensor and / or selection of an imaging detector having a spectral sensitivity substantially corresponding to the radiation-sensitive sensor.
- g) image processing of the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L with an image processing module.
In particular, different individual images of the spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L can be subtracted, added and / or averaged over time, wherein the processing and / or creation of video sequences with the image processing module are also possible.
In the preferred variant, the method according to the invention also has the feature that as maximum intensity I i ; the average of the intensity of a group of brightest pixels of the subarea i 'is determined. This is useful because in a quotient pyrometer naturally also predominantly the brightest area within the measuring field determines the value of the intensity quotient and thus the value of the temperature determined therefrom. As a result, a particularly good assignment of the quotient temperature to the brightness of the corresponding pixels of the imaging detector is achieved.
For example, the group could consist of the 10% brightest pixels of the subarea i '. Of course, instead of 10%, it is also possible to use any other proportion of brightest pixels of the subarea i 'for determining the value of the maximum intensity I i .
In a further embodiment of the method according to the invention an imaging pyrometer is used with at least one of the aforementioned features essential to the invention.

The maximum intensity I i measured in the partial area i 'and the measured reference temperature θ i form a measured value pair (θ i , I i ). On the basis of this pair of values, a value is assigned to each value of the spatially resolved intensity distribution I L by means of a predetermined approximation function F (I L , (θ i , I i )) and the locally resolved intensity distribution I L is converted into a spatially resolved temperature distribution θ L by a calibration module ,
