Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing microcracks in ore rock in preparation for heap leaching, in which the ore rock is fed as fresh material (A) to a material bed roller mill and is comminuted into differently divisible fractions (C, D, E). The invention also relates to an installation for carrying out the method. According to the invention it is proposed that the feed material for the material bed roller mill is a mixture of 40-70% by weight of the fresh material (A) with a particle diameter of 5-15 mm, and 30-60% by weight of a fraction of fine material (C), the is circulated, with a particle diameter of less than 2 mm, preferably less than 1.5 mm and particularly preferably less than 1 mm. This ensures that the coarse material (E) is permeated with microcracks and that the fine (C) and medium material (D) are present in compacted form on the coarse material (E). A heap of the ore rock treated in this way is particularly accessible for leaching.

For the digestion of ores, such. As gold, copper, nickel and uranium ores, it is known to leach the ores with the aid of appropriate excipients. For this purpose, the ores are usually placed in a crushed form on a pile or on very large dumps and doused with an individually determined for each ore type liquor. The brine dissolves the metal contained in the ore to form chemical complexes that are readily soluble in water so that the metal chemically bonded as an oxide in the ore can be separated from aqueous solution. The workup of the leached ore here is the subject of a variety of different known methods. All processes have in common the comminution and the effect of the lye on the ore over a longer period of time, which can be from a few days to several months. During the longer leaching time, it is important that the lye acts at the site of the ore and does not sag towards the bottom of the heap or heap so that the ore fraction present at the base of the heap is oversaturated with caustic and the ore fraction at the top of the heap dries out and the later, aqueous digestion is not accessible. In order to prolong the leaching time or protect the liquor from drying out, it is also known to cover the heaps and place a tray under the pile or under the heap. It is also known to reuse the leaked liquor in the circulation.
In addition to optimizing leaching, it is also important to prepare the ore for leaching. In order to carry out the ore digestion by leaching with high yield, ores are usually comminuted finely, in order to obtain the largest possible surface of the ore rock, because the high surface allows intensive exposure of the leach to the ore. The crushing of the ore takes place in the Usually in cone crushers, hammer crushers or jaw crushers, but also in high-bed roller mills, drum mills or in ball mills. Finally, after grinding, the crushed ore is deposited on the pile or stockpile for leaching by conveyor belts.
Since ores are usually hard and / or abrasive materials, comminution is energy intensive and therefore a costly process. The finer the ore is milled, the more energy-intensive and higher the costs of the entire leaching process from mining to the preservation of pure ore or pure metal. The size of the ore particles plays an important role in the leaching process. If the particles are too large, the caustic used for leaching does not penetrate into the interior of the particles, so that the leaching of the ore is incomplete. If, on the other hand, the ore particles are too small, they can be washed along by the lye liquid and thus clog the pores of an ore bed at the base of the heap or heap. Larger pieces of ore are located at the top of the heap and the fine fraction has penetrated deeper into the heap or into the heap, where the finest material forms a layer that is difficult to penetrate for liquid. In addition to the pores of the ore bed and the pores of a restraint device can be clogged, which restrains the ore against the alkali during leaching in the circulation. The leakage of the liquor through the ore bed and / or by the retention device is thereby slowed down considerably and thus extends the leaching process considerably. Since the crushing of the ore different grain sizes arise from the finest fraction to the coarse fraction, therefore, to avoid the above-mentioned problems fine particles that inevitably occur in comminuting the ore in non-negligible amount, subjected to barrel leaching.

It would therefore be desirable to provide a method with which the ore rock is comminuted to a high proportion in particles of a certain size, which are traversed by as many microcracks, and wherein the proportion of fine and very fine particles as possible also be subjected to heap leaching can.
This object is achieved by the method according to claim 1 to 5. An apparatus for carrying out the method is specified in claims 6 to 9.
According to the invention microcracks are produced in ore rock in that the feedstock for the good bed roller mill is a mixture of 40-70% by weight of Frischguts with a particle diameter of 5-15 mm, and 30-60% by weight of at least one fraction of fines and / or Medium, which is circulated, with a particle diameter of less than about 2 mm, preferably less than about 1.5 mm and more preferably less than about 1 mm.
An essential feature of the present invention is that a fine material fraction is comminuted in a certain amount together with a fresh material fraction of the ore rock. In the prior art, on the other hand, it is common practice to recycle a coarse or medium separated from a classifier for comminution, with the fine fraction being leached by the classifier. Of course, the separation by the classifier is not perfect, so that even in the prior art, a certain proportion of a fine fraction of the comminution in the circuit is fed again. However, it is particularly in the present process that the coarse fraction is sorted out after comminution and subjected to heap leaching, wherein the medium and fine fraction resulting from the separation of the coarse fraction is recirculated. The proposed method thus works differently than previously known Kreislaufmahlverfahren because the fine, medium and Grobgutfraktionen unlike the prior art take different paths.
In this process, the fine fraction is in circulation, while the coarse fraction leaves the comminution process after about a single pass. The idea is that the fines produced during comminution collects around a coarse particle of ground material and, similar to the formation of an autogenous wear layer on the surface of the roll of a good bed roll mill, accumulates into a compacted layer around the coarse material which acts as a kind of buffer. As a result, the coarse material is protected from too high pressure in the high-pressure roller mill and a breaker effect is thereby avoided, in which the ground material is broken by point load. It thus forms a fraction of coated with fine and medium coarse Mahlgutpartikeln, which in the crushing process, once it is in equilibrium, always only so much middle and fine material is generated as leaves the circulating grinding process by the coated coarse Mahlgutkörner. As a result of the recycling of the medium and fine fraction, the proportion of medium and fine material in the circulation grinding process is reduced. Partly solid agglomerates of particles are formed, which are crossed in the core with microcracks, which are constructed similar to slugs as a result of comminution in the nip of a good bed roller mill. These agglomerates prepared in this way have microcracks in the core and are surrounded by a layer of finer, compacted regrind, which is quickly permeated with caustic by capillary forces and remains there without any longer participating in the leaching due to evaporation or sagging within the heap. Ideally, the millbase consists of roughly equal parts of the coarse fraction and the fine fraction.
For comminution in a good bed roller mill, the pressure within the nip is of considerable importance. If it is too small or if the nip is not sufficiently filled with ground material during operation, then a comminution behavior of the good-bed roller mill arises, which is similar to comminution in a crusher. The particles are broken by a point load at several points.
In a refinement of the invention, it is provided that a classifying stage divides the ground material emerging from the good bed roller mill into a fraction of coarse material and at least one further fraction of fine material and / or medium, the coarse material being separated and the at least one fraction consisting of fine material and / or medium material in the Umlaut is led. Thus, the finer part of the crushed ore rock is at least partially circulated, the coarser fraction being separated out for heap leaching. In contrast to the usual procedure to separate the fines, it is provided according to the present method, weed out the coarse material and reduce the formation of finely crushed material by returning the fines of crushed ore rock in the grinding cycle.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the at least one consisting of fines and / or average fraction is divided into a fraction of fines and a fraction of medium, the fraction is carried out of medium in circulation and the fraction of fines, at least in part circulated and partly fed to a drum leaching. According to this embodiment, it is provided that the ultrafine portion of the crushed ore is only dosed recycled into the circulation and that the excess amount of Feinstanteils is subjected to the Fasslaugung. As a result, the process produces ore that has a high proportion of microcracks but is not completely comminuted. If too much fines are present in the circulation, this can suppress the formation of microcracks through proper padding of the coarse constituents of the fresh material. If, on the other hand, too little fines are present, this can suppress the formation of layers around the coarse grains of the coarse fraction. What is desired is a product in which the coarse fraction has a core, which is traversed by microcracks and has a layer of fines and possibly medium, which enclose the grains of the coarse fraction in a compacted form. This layer and the microcracks have a high capillary action, which draws the liquor used for leaching into the millbase produced in this way and holds it there.
In order to control the formation of the ideal regrind, it is envisaged that the amount of fine material circulated into the circulation can be varied.
The process according to the invention is suitable for a series of ores which tend to form the agglomerates described above during comminution. These ores are especially gold ore, copper ore, nickel ore and uranium ore.
Bevorzugt beträgt der Pressdruck 30–60 Mpa und besonders bevorzugt 40–50 Mpa.The pressure required to produce the microcracks in the ore rock is usually 20-70 MPa. Preferably, the pressing pressure is 30-60 Mpa, and more preferably 40-50 Mpa.
To carry out the process, a Kreislaufmahlanlage is proposed for the preparation of ore for heap leaching, which delivers the ore as a fresh good rolling mill and a classifier in the millbase, leaving the bed of material rolls, divided into different fractions of fines, medium and coarse material and at least one fraction returns to circulation, so that the recirculated fraction is part of the feedstock of the good bed roller mill. In this Kreislaufmahlanlage is inventively provided that the classifier is set so that the feed for the good bed roller mill is a mixture of 40-70% by weight of Frischguts (A) with a particle diameter of 5-15 mm, and 30-60 weight % of at least one fraction of fines (C) and / or medium (D) circulating, having a particle diameter of less than about 2 mm, preferably less than about 1.5 mm, and more preferably less than about 1 mm. Essential to the Kreislaufmahanlage is therefore that the recycled fine fraction is circulated and the coarse fraction leaves the Kreislaufmahlanlage. In this case, the proportion of returned to the feed material of the good bed roller mill fine material is such that the stated mass fractions result. As a result, the preferred microcracks are formed in the coarse fraction of the coarse material leaving the bed of high-quality material for heap leaching.
