Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a dual-mass flywheel with a primary mass and a secondary mass, which are rotatable relative to each other against the force of a spring arrangement.

An object of the invention is therefore to provide a dual mass flywheel that allows automatic overbalancing over the operating time with variable imbalances.
This problem is solved by a dual-mass flywheel with a primary mass and a secondary mass, which are rotatable relative to each other against the force of a spring assembly, wherein the primary mass or the secondary mass comprises a running in a circumferential direction annular channel in which at least one balancing element is arranged. Preferably, a plurality of balancing elements are arranged in the annular channel, which are preferably balls. The annular channel preferably comprises a toroidal region in which the balls are movably mounted in the circumferential direction. In addition to the toroidal region z. B. due to production further areas may be provided in the annular channel, but not usable for the actual mobility of the balls. In this respect, the annular channel can deviate altogether from the torus shape. In principle, other than toroidal geometries are possible here, so for example, instead of a cross-sectionally circular cross-section in the circumferential direction extending areas with a polygonal, rectangular or triangular cross-section, which serve to support the balls. During a rotation of the dual-mass flywheel with a supercritical rotational speed, a self-centering of the dual-mass flywheel takes place. The balls roll in the annular channel in the direction opposite to the displacement of the center of mass or center of gravity, whereby the center of mass or center of gravity is moved to the axis of rotation.
In one embodiment of the invention it is provided that the annular channel has a filling with a high viscosity at least in some areas. The term areawise expresses that the filling is not uniform and the annular channel does not have to be completely filled. The high viscosity agent is particularly a grease. The filling ensures a damping of the movement of the balls in the circumferential direction, so that in particular with a rotational acceleration or rotation delay, an uncontrolled movement of the balls is prevented. In addition, a drag torque is exerted on the balls by the filling, so that they are taken during a rotation of the dual mass flywheel.
In one embodiment of the invention it is provided that the annular channel is formed by a cover arranged on the primary or secondary mass. In the lid part of the cross section of the annular channel is impressed, the other part is embossed in the primary or secondary mass. If the cover is arranged on the primary or secondary mass, then both include the annular channel. The attachment of the lid can be done for example by riveting, welding, screwing, gluing and the like.
In a further development of the invention it is provided that a grease cover is arranged on the lid, wherein the lid and grease cover enclose a grease chamber. The grease chamber serves as a reservoir for grease that can be fed from the grease chamber to the annular channel. For this purpose, it is preferably provided that the cover has at least one lubrication opening which connects the annular channel with the grease chamber.
In one embodiment of the invention it is provided that the annular channel is arranged on the primary mass. In this case, the annular channel is preferably arranged radially on the primary mass within a starter ring gear. This design offers the advantage of an optimal space utilization, especially in the axial direction. The annular channel is preferably arranged as far radially outward as possible, since the balancing effect is the greatest.
