Es ist jedoch ebenfalls denkbar, dass anstelle von Metall ein hochfestes PUR-Material für die Versteifungen des Verstärkungsprofils verwendet werden kann. Dazu sollte dieses PUR-Material beispielsweise ungeschäumt und möglichst noch verstärkt sein, beispielsweise unter Verwendung von Glasfaserverstärkungen. Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, faserverstärkte PUR-Materialien mit Steifigkeiten von 20 GPa und mehr zu erhalten. Beispielsweise hat die Firma Bayer ein Pultrusionsverfahren entwickelt, mit dem Steifigkeiten von annähernd 50 GPa erhalten werden können. Da die Herstellung dieser PUR-Materialien nicht Gegenstand der vorliegenden Anmeldung ist, wird an dieser Stelle nicht weiter darauf eingegangen. Es ist jedoch offensichtlich, dass eine Verbindung aus einem weichen PUR-Schaumkern mit Schichten aus steifem PUR-Material ohne Weiteres hergestellt werden kann.
