Für die Zusammensetzung wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, dass folgende Komponenten vorgesehen sind:
- – EPDM mit einem Anteil aus einem Bereich von 50 Gewichtsprozent (Gew.-%) bis 70 Gewichtsprozent (Gew.-%)
- – und Ruß mit einem Anteil aus einem Bereich von 25 Gew.-% bis 40 Gew.-%, jeweils bezogen auf eine Gesamteinwaage der Zusammensetzung.

EPDM (Ethylen-Propylen-Dien-Monomer) weist eine gute Hitzebeständigkeit sowie eine Beständigkeit gegenüber Wasser, Laugen, verdünnten Säuren und Alkoholen auf. Die gute Hitzebeständigkeit ermöglicht den Einsatz der Zusammensetzung für einen Elastomerkörper einer hochelastischen Wellenkupplung zur Drehmomentübertragung bei Antriebskomponenten, die in einem Dauereinsatztemperaturbereich zwischen 110°C und 130°C betreibbar ist. Der Rußanteil gewährleistet eine ausreichende Härte und Reißfestigkeit, um die Zusammensetzung bei einem entsprechenden Elastomerkörper für eine hochelastische Wellenkupplung zur Drehmomentübertragung einzusetzen. Die Erfindung ist vorteilhaft im Maschinen- oder Anlagenbau oder im Fahrzeug- und Schiffsbau, jeweils für entsprechende Antriebskomponenten einsetzbar.EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) has good heat resistance and resistance to water, alkalis, dilute acids and alcohols. Besonders vorteilhaft ist als Metalloxid Zinkoxid vorgesehen, und Zinkoxid ist mit Stearinsäure mit einem Anteil zwischen 1,35 Gew.-% und 4 Gew.-% enthalten.
