Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a padding, in particular for a seat, with at least one core part, with which a resilient outer shape of the padding can be generated, wherein the core part is formed of a plastic material, and at least one reinforcing element, which is arranged in or on the core part. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a padding.
In today's vehicle construction, seat fittings made of polyurethane foam (PU or PUR foam) are used by the original equipment manufacturers. Due to their nature, such molded foam parts can not be used in every material thickness for each individual use. Below a certain minimum thickness, they break or break at certain stresses that exceed the maximum allowable stress. This effect is further enhanced over time by foam aging.
Gerade in besonders beanspruchten Bereichen, z. In order to forestall such damage cases, attempts have been made in the prior art with various grid structures that are used as reinforcement or reinforcement. However, these tests showed little effect on improving the resistance to breakage. Here, reinforcing materials were superficially arranged on the molded foam parts or embedded in the molded foam parts. Because of their small thickness, almost two-dimensional appearance of the reinforcing materials, the breaking behavior of the molded foam part is only marginally better than without reinforcing material. By such a grid only a piercing or penetration of the foam body is prevented by foreign bodies. Especially in particularly stressed areas, eg. B. Sitzwulstteilen, expensive and expensive structures are needed to prevent the breaking of the molded foam parts.
In the prior art was also trying to use with the help of spacer knitted three-dimensional reinforcements in the molded foam parts. However, such solutions have the disadvantage that these reinforcements consist of multifilaments and the foam penetrates and hardens these fabric layers during the production of the molded foam part. This not only reduces the seating comfort due to the high degree of hardness of such a molded foam part, but also requires an increase in costs due to the complicated production process for spacer knitted fabric. An alternative solution is to increase the foam thickness, but this does not lead to satisfactory results, since in this way the space and the weight of the molded foam part and thus of the overall seat is increased.
Based on this prior art, the present invention has the object to provide an apparatus and a method with which the disadvantages of the prior art are overcome. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to provide a padding and a method for producing such a padding, which can accommodate high exposures with small component dimensions, without experiencing damage.
This object is achieved by a device or a method having the features of the independent claims. Particular embodiments and further developments of the invention are subject of the dependent claims, which are based on the independent claims.
A padding according to the invention, in particular for a seat, can have at least one core part, with which a resilient outer shape of the padding can be produced, wherein the core part is formed from a plastic material and at least one reinforcing element, which is arranged in or on the core part. Furthermore, the reinforcing element can be formed from at least one monofilament, the monofilament being connected to itself or to further monofilaments at predetermined cross regions where it intersects itself or further monofilaments, each monofilament being essentially a plastic fiber of finite length. From the provision of a reinforcement of monofilaments, there is the advantage that there is no unwanted hardening as Armiergeweben or spacer fabric during foaming of the molded foam part.
In addition, the reinforcing element may be formed as a prefabricated blank part, in particular as a mat. This results in the advantage that before the production of the molded foam part, the mechanical properties of the reinforcement can be adjusted in a separate process.
Furthermore, monofilaments may be arranged as random fibers in the reinforcing element.
Additionally or alternatively, the core part may be formed as a molded foam part, in particular made of polyurethane plastic.
Furthermore, the reinforcing element may have a three-dimensional shape. Due to this three-dimensional nature, a three-dimensional reinforcement of the foam structure is possible, so that the molded foam part is reinforced in the length, width and thickness direction of the reinforcing element.
In a further aspect, the invention relates to a method for producing a padding comprising the steps of: providing a molding tool, introducing at least one reinforcing element into a cavity of the molding tool, generating the padding by foaming the cavity of the molding tool, in particular with polyurethane. Furthermore, the reinforcing element may have a monofilament structure and be introduced as a prefabricated blank part, in particular as a mat, into the cavity of the molding tool.
In addition, for producing a monofilament structure by introducing at least one monofilament into a reinforcing element production tool can be produced, during or after the introduction of the at least one monofilament a confused arrangement of the at least one Monfiles is created in the reinforcing element manufacturing tool. Subsequently, the at least one monofilament can be joined to itself or to further monofilaments at predetermined cross regions where it intersects itself or further monofilaments. Further, by solidifying the monofilament structure to a reinforcing element and cutting the reinforcing element into geometrically predetermined blank parts, the reinforcing element can be completed.
Furthermore, the monofilament can be arranged in a predetermined or confused positioning in the reinforcing element production tool, wherein monofilaments are connected to predetermined cross areas by applying heat and / or pressure and then solidifies the monofilament structure produced.
Furthermore, the reinforcing element production tool can be tempered during the production of the monofilament structure.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the figures, these figures showing schematically, by way of non-limiting example:

In a further, not shown embodiment of the invention, the reinforcing element may be smooth on both sides. A buffing element with a smooth surface may be closer to the foam upper side, i. H. be positioned on the side facing the occupant. The use of smooth reinforcing elements is thus possible even in areas with low foam thicknesses.
Before that, however, the monofilament structure must be created. This is generated from a thread or a fiber made of plastic material and / or natural fiber material. Optionally, a plurality of plastic fibers or natural fibers, the so-called monofilaments, can be assembled into a monofilament structure. In the monofilament structure, the monofilaments are confused, homogeneously or inhomogeneously distributed in all three spatial directions, and are connected at intersections in which they intersect and touch each other or other monofilaments. In other words, when a single monofilament forms a loop, the point at which the two loop portions are in contact with each other is a cross-section in which the loop end portions are firmly joined together, for example, by fusion. Analogously, intersection areas are formed even where two or more different monofilaments are supported on each other. Such cross sections may be punctiform or even linear, if two monofilaments are aligned parallel to one another at least in sections and rest on one another.
Through the use of monofilament threads penetration of the foam in the single monofilament thread is not possible, so that no hardening of the monofilament in contrast to existing multifilament spacer fabrics can occur.
