Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for diagnosing an exhaust gas purification device controllable by means of a control signal for purifying an exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine by means of a selective catalytic reduction.
The object of the invention is to make possible an improved diagnosis of an emission control device which can be controlled by means of a control signal, in particular to enable a function of a dosing device to be diagnosed, a pump device connected upstream of the dosing device and / or a supply line upstream of the pump device.
The object is achieved in a method for diagnosing a controllable by a control signal emission control device for purifying an exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine by means of a selective catalytic reduction according to claim 1. Advantageously, different changes in the control signal can cause expected different responses of the pressure of the volume flow between the pumping device and the metering device. Advantageously, conclusions can be drawn on a function of the pumping device, the metering device and / or a supply line to the pumping device if the reaction deviates from the expected reaction.
In one embodiment of the method, a determination of a time course of the pressure by means of a pressure measuring device for determining the reaction is provided. Advantageously, the reaction can be observed or determined over time, so that it is advantageous to be able to draw conclusions regarding the function of the exhaust gas purification device in the case of a known system behavior.
In a further embodiment of the method, changing a delivery rate of the pumping device is provided by means of changing the control signal. Assuming a properly functioning metering device, increasing the delivery rate will cause the pressure to increase and the delivery rate to decrease. In the event that the metering device is leaking, until it is undesirably constantly open to the extreme, the expected increase in pressure will not occur or at least weaker, which can be concluded advantageous to a malfunction of the metering device. In the opposite case, if the metering device does not open, increasing the delivery rate will result in an excessive pressure increase. In another case, which also leads to an unexpectedly low pressure increase, the pumping device may have a leak. Another error preventing a pressure increase could be a clogged, squeezed and / or torn-off supply line to the pumping device.
In a further embodiment of the method, a change in a metering rate of the metering device is provided by means of changing the control signal. Advantageously, the delivery rate and / or the metering rate can be changed, wherein, for example, at a constant delivery rate, decreasing the metering rate to a pressure increase and increasing the metering rate leads to a reduction of the pressure. In the most general case, the volumetric flow can also be understood to mean a volumetric flow of 0, wherein the dosing rate and the delivery rate can also be changed between 0 and any desired value. For example, it is possible to set the dosing rate and the delivery rate to 0 and to observe the reaction of the pressure. If the pressure drops to a certain extent, an undesirably high system leakage of the pump device and / or the metering device can be inferred. In the event that the dosing rate is set to 0 and sets an undesirably low pressure despite an increased flow rate, it can for example be particularly well concluded that either the pumping device and / or the supply line are defective.
In a further embodiment of the method, a determination of a simulation delivery rate of the pumping device is dependent on the control signal and a pump transmission behavior of the pumping device and determination of a simulation metering rate of the metering device as a function of the control signal and a metering transmission behavior of the metering device and determination of a simulation curve of the pressure as a function of the simulation delivery rate, the simulation metering rate and a line transmission behavior of a switched between the pumping device and the metering line arrangement provided. The control signal may be any signal for driving the pumping device, the metering device and other components of the exhaust gas purification device. In this respect, the control signal may be a multivalued variable composed of individual quantities. With knowledge of the transfer behavior of the pumping device and the metering device, it is advantageously possible to determine a simulated balance of the volume flow and, knowing the line transmission behavior, the simulated simulation course of the pressure. Advantageously, the simulation course of the pressure can be compared with the time course of the pressure, wherein occurring deviations can be interpreted to diagnose the exhaust gas purification device. This can advantageously, together with the change of the control signal, allow targeted conclusions and limitations of individual sources of error.
In a further embodiment of the method, a switching off of the pumping device and simultaneous closing of the metering device by means of the control signal is provided. Advantageously, it can thus be determined whether the pump device and / or the metering device have an undesirably high leakage. If appropriate, one or more threshold values can be defined, taking into account component scatters, and if these are met, the exhaust gas purification device can be displayed.
In a further embodiment of the method, a volumetric flow of the pumping device and the dosing device is provided by means of the control signal, wherein the simulation dosing rate and the simulation delivery rate have the same values. The pumping device and the metering device are thus theoretically controlled volumetric flow. Advantageously, the reaction of the pressure or the time course of the pressure can be observed, wherein an excessively high or too low pressure can indicate, for example, an undesirably high drift and / or leakage of the pumping device and / or the dosing device.
In a further embodiment of the method, a determination of a gradient of the pressure is provided. Advantageously, it may be sufficient to determine only the gradient of the pressure, wherein, for example, in the case of the same volume control, a positive gradient or a negative gradient of the pressure already allows a statement about the functionality of the exhaust gas purification device. Optionally, a threshold value can be set for the gradient of the pressure, wherein, if this is met, the exhaust gas purification device can be displayed. Advantageously, in this evaluation, the transmission behavior of the line does not matter, yet it can be determined whether there is a leakage and / or a blockage and / or a line break.

Es ergeben sich die vorab beschriebenen Vorteile. The object is also achieved in an exhaust gas purification device, in particular designed, designed and / or constructed for performing a method described above according to
