Abstract
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for evaluating a thermographic test image. A more accurate and reliable evaluation of a thermographic test image should be made possible in comparison to the prior art. The invention is characterized in that a first camera (2) records at least one first thermographic test image (5) of a test object (1) in a first infrared frequency range. In addition, at least one further camera (3) records at least one second test image (6) of the test object (1), for example in a second frequency range that is visible to the human eye. A display device (4) shows the first and second test images (5, 6) congruently. This is achieved in that distribution devices (8) are arranged in a light path from the test object (1) to the respective camera (2, 3). These let light through to downstream cameras and reflect light to adjacent cameras. A distribution device (8) mirrors an objective axis of a secondary acquisition device into an objective axis of a main acquisition device, at least when it is reflected. In this way, the congruent display is made possible and parallax errors are avoided.
Description
B. zwischen 3 und 5 oder 7 und 13 μm.The present invention relates to a device and a method for evaluating a thermographic photo according to the preambles of the main claim and the independent claim. In addition, not only light in the visible spectral range (0.3 to 0.7 microns) meant by light, but especially in the infrared, z. B. between 3 and 5 or 7 and 13 microns.
Thermal images used in active or passive thermography are often difficult to interpret for complex objects. This is because contrast gradations are caused not by color variations known by the human eye-brain system, but by differences in so-called emissivity. This is usually not coupled with information from the visible spectrum.
Interpretation difficulties can z. B. in the evaluation of passive thermographic images from building physics occur in which is sought after thermal bridges and poorly insulated building parts. For example, differences in the paint of the house or dirt of the plaster in the thermographic image can be interpreted as a different temperature, although it is only an emissivity effect of the facade.
In active thermography, for example in flash thermography on turbine blades, the test pieces are often dirty or textured. Here, too, an interpretation of the infrared image can be difficult.
A reliable interpretation of thermographic images is much easier by adding the information from the visible spectrum possible. This can be done either by a direct comparison with the real object or with a picture of the same.
Conventionally, a camera is used in which both an infrared camera head, and a camera head for the visible range is installed. Due to the staggered arrangement here arise parallax errors due to different viewing angles and thus non-matching images.
Furthermore, a conventional camera is used which has a sandwich structure in which areas sensitive to different wavelengths are superimposed. This results in disadvantages as regards the combination and the width of the detected spectral ranges due to the detector pixel materials used or the transmissivity of the objective. In addition, this type of camera is very expensive.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus and a method for a more accurate and reliable evaluation of a thermographic image compared to the prior art.
The object is achieved by a device according to the main claim and a method according to the independent claim.
By means of a device according to the invention and a method according to the invention, a congruent display of the images of all detection devices is created.
An objective axis may be an optical axis of the objective. The optical axis may preferably be an axis of symmetry of the objective.
According to a first aspect, an apparatus for the evaluation of an object by means of thermography is provided. The device comprises an optical main detection device having an objective lens with an objective axis aligned in the direction of the object for acquiring an image of the object in a wavelength range, at least one additional optical subdetection device having an objective lens with an objective axis for capturing an image of the object in each additional wavelength range and a display device for displaying the at least two images. The device is characterized in that on the Lens axis of the main detection means between the object and the main detection means at least one distribution means for transmitting light from the object to the main detection means and for deflecting light from the object to the sub detection means is positioned, wherein the distribution means during deflection, the objective axis of the sub detection means in the lens axis of the main detection means.
According to a second aspect, a method for the evaluation of an object by means of thermography is provided. The method comprises the steps of recording an image of the object in a wavelength range by means of an optical main detection device having a lens with an objective axis aligned in the direction of the object, taking an image of the object in an additional wavelength range by means of at least one additional optical having an objective having an objective axis Sub-detection device, displaying the at least two images by means of a display device. The method is characterized by positioning at least one distributor means for passing light from the object to the main detection means and deflecting light from the object to the side detection means on the objective axis of the main detection means, the distribution means deflecting the objective axis of the sub detection means is reflected in the lens axis of the main detection device.
A congruent imaging of an infrared image and images in additional wavelength ranges is effected by mirroring in objective axes of secondary detection devices into an objective axis of a main detection device. In each case, a light distributor device is used in order, for example, to mirror a camera into an infrared beam path for a wavelength range which is visible to the human eye. The two cameras work in different wavelength bands and complement each other. The device design allows the same viewing angles of cameras. Parallax errors caused by different angles of view on three-dimensional objects are thus excluded. With this structure, it is possible to obtain congruent infrared images and, for example, images from the visible spectrum. Infrared images can be effectively better interpreted, since it is also possible for complex objects to associate image information from additional spectra with the infrared image information.
Further advantageous embodiments are claimed in conjunction with the subclaims.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the objective axis of at least one of the sub detection means may intersect the objective axis of the main detection means between the object and the main detection means in a lens axis intersection at a lens axis intersecting angle. Particularly advantageously, an active layer of the associated distribution device can be perpendicular to a plane spanned by the two lens axes and halve the lens axis intersection angle at least during the deflection. Thus, a simple structure of the device can be made possible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the objective axis of at least one of the secondary detection devices can be arranged parallel to the objective axis of the main detection device and a first active layer of the associated distribution device can be perpendicular to a plane spanned by the two lens axes and at least when deflecting the lens axis of the main detection device in an intersection under a Cut cutting angle, as well as at least when deflecting a second active layer to be arranged parallel to the first and the second active layer intersect the lens axis of the secondary detection device in the point where the mirrored at the first active layer lens axis of the main detection device intersects the lens axis of the sub-detection device. Thus, the sub-detection devices can be arranged parallel to the main detection device, so that a compact construction of the device is made possible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, at least one of the active layers may reflect light of the wavelength ranges of adjacent detection devices and transmit light of the wavelength ranges of subsequent detection devices. This is a particularly effective and simple distribution device. This active layer is a beam splitter, which does not have to be moved for passing and deflecting.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the active layer may comprise glass, quartz glass, germanium, silicon, thallium bromide iodide, fluorspar, zinc selenide or other infrared-transmitting materials. The active layer can thus transmit light in the wavelength range of 1 to 15 μm and reflect light in the wavelength range of 0.3 to 0.7 μm which is visible to a human eye. In this case, transmission to a subsequent infrared camera and reflection to an adjacent camera for the visible wavelength range can be carried out particularly easily. Other infrared transmissive materials may be plastics that are transparent to infrared light in certain wavelength ranges, such as polypropylene, depending on the grade and mode of manufacture.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the active layer may have a thickness of 0.1 to 1.5 mm. Thus, mechanical and optical properties of the active layer can be effectively provided.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, at least one of the active layers may be an optical mirror. This allows a simple way of redirecting light are made possible. If the mirror is only intended to deflect, the mirror need not be movable.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the optical mirror can be pivoted out of the light path. This can be easily a redirection and transmission of light allows. This can be in a position of the mirror Divert and allow in a second position, a passage of light. This is another easy way to provide a light distribution device.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, all lens axis section angles can be 90 ° and all intersection angles of the active surfaces with the associated objective axes can be 45 °. According to this advantageous embodiment, lens axes can be perpendicular to each other. This results in a typical angle of incidence of the light from the object to an effective area of a distributor device of 45 °. That is light of a wavelength range can be mirrored at a typical angular position of 45 °. The light of another wavelength range can be transmitted at the same angular position. Thus, two cameras of a hybrid camera can be designed to each other in an optical 90 ° arrangement. Thus, just two cameras of a hybrid camera can simply be arranged in parallel to one another optically in parallel, and a first effective area deflects a beam through 90 °, and a second effective area again deflects this beam by 90 °. The second active surface is, for example, an optical mirror.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the first active layer of a first distributor device with two active layers can simultaneously be the active layer of a second distributor device with only one active layer. According to this embodiment, the secondary detection device associated with the first distribution device is arranged in juxtaposition with the second active layer, since the second active layer reflects light to this secondary detection device. The secondary detection device associated with the second distribution device is arranged downstream of the second active layer, since the second active layer transmits light to this secondary detection device.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, one of the detection devices may be an infrared camera for the wavelength range of 1 to 15 μm and one of the detection devices a camera for detecting light in the wavelength range of 0.3 to 0.7 μm visible to a human eye. In this way, a combination of infrared spectral range and visible spectral range is possible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, one of the detection devices may be a night vision device having a residual light amplifier. In this way, an infrared spectral range can be combined with that of an indulgence device, which works in particular according to a residual light amplifier principle. This embodiment is advantageous for example in the field of safety technology. An infrared camera can display all heat sources and the night vision device amplifies the remaining light in the dark in the visible spectral range. Both techniques complement each other.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the main detection device may be a first infrared camera for a first infrared light wavelength range and the single secondary detection device a second infrared camera for a second infrared light wavelength range. This allows a combination of two different infrared ranges with two infrared cameras.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the first infrared wavelength range, one of near, medium and far infrared light, and the second infrared wavelength range, may be a first different infrared wavelength range of near, middle and far infrared light. This results in a dual band camera as a combination of near, medium and far infrared particularly advantageous.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the main detection device and two sub-detection devices can be infrared cameras for each one infrared wavelength range of near, middle and far infrared light. In this way, these three wavelength ranges can be combined.
According to a further advantageous refinement, an equalizing device can be provided for the purpose of aligning imaging scales and distortions of detection devices, whereby they receive a test pattern for equalization. Since the magnifications and distortions of the two optical systems are not necessarily the same, this additional compensation, i. H. Equalization of the measured images may be necessary. Such a calibration can be carried out according to the invention by the simultaneous recording of a test pattern. For example, a test pattern may be a checkerboard pattern. In this way, a two-dimensional calibration can be performed. Suitable equalization algorithms are known.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, a computer device may be provided for evaluating image information of a thermographic image based on image information of further images by means of data processing algorithms. Infrared data processing algorithms can use additional information, for example from the visible spectrum, in order, for example, to calculate with optimized parameters.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the computer device can be provided for comparison between a thermographic photo and another image in a selected local area.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the computer device can detect delamination or contamination of the test object. Detection of chipped coatings is possible because they are very clear in the visible spectrum. In these local areas, further post-processing of the infrared data may be done as heat propagation is affected by the lack of coating. Detecting a delamination only in the infrared is very difficult, because often the necessary contrasts are missing. Furthermore, it is possible to avoid false defect indications, which are due to contamination of the test object. On the basis of the image information visible area dirt in the infrared image can be filtered out.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the display device can superimpose light images of different wavelength ranges, wherein upper light images are generated with selected opacities. This allows light images to be evaluated simultaneously.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the display device can superimpose light images of different wavelength ranges, wherein a light image of one wavelength range can be used as a mask for a light image of another wavelength range. Thus, by means of the masking or mask, light images can be segmented, that is, based on image information of a light image, local areas of a second light image can be selected.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, a light image of an infrared region can be used as a mask for a light image in a wavelength range visible to a human eye.
