Abstract
Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Blendeneinrichtung für eine Abgasanlage für eine Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere eines Kraftfahrzeugs.The present invention relates to a diaphragm device for an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle.
In Abgasanlagen, insbesondere in Schalldämpfern einer solchen Abgasanlage, können im Betrieb der Brennkraftmaschine unterschiedliche Schalldruckpegel entstehen. Um störende Schallemissionen in die Umgebung reduzieren zu können, kann es daher vorteilhaft sein, die Abgasanlage bzw. den Schalldämpfer aktiv an unterschiedliche Schalldruckpegel anzupassen. Dies kann beispielsweise mittels einer Klappeneinrichtung realisiert werden, die eine schaltbare Klappe zum Öffnen und Sperren eines durchströmbaren Querschnitts aufweist. Durch Betätigen dieser Klappeneinrichtung können somit verschiedene, alternative Strömungspfade aktiviert und deaktiviert werden, um die gewünschte Anpassung an die jeweiligen Schalldruckpegel realisieren zu können. Der Aufwand zur Realisierung alternativer Strömungswege ist vergleichsweise groß.In exhaust systems, in particular in silencers of such an exhaust system, different sound pressure levels can arise during operation of the internal combustion engine. Die Erfindung beruht auf dem allgemeinen Gedanken, anstelle einer Klappe eine Blende zu verwenden, die auch in einer Abblendstellung, die mit einer Schließstellung einer Klappe vergleichbar ist, den durchströmbaren Querschnitt nicht sperrt, sondern nur gegenüber einer Offenstellung reduziert. Hierdurch kann der gleiche Strömungspfad verwendet werden, so dass insbesondere ein aufwändiger Bypass entbehrlich ist. Durch die erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagene Blendeneinrichtung kann somit innerhalb eines Strömungspfads der Strömungswiderstand und somit auch eine Drosselwirkung für Schalldruck variiert werden. Je weiter die Blende in die mit der Schließstellung einer Klappe vergleichbare Abblendstellung überführt wird, desto stärker ist ihre Dämpfungswirkung.The invention is based on the general idea of using a shutter instead of a flap, which does not block the flow-through cross section even in a blind position that is comparable to a closed position of a flap, but reduces it only in relation to an open position. Bevorzugt ist jedoch die Ausführungsform, bei welcher die Blende einen offenen Querschnitt besitzt, also wenigstens eine Durchlassöffnung aufweist.
