One problem is that with the stacking sequences of different mixing systems within the Although an increase in the external quantum efficiency can be achieved in the light emission zone, however, no reduced efficiency drop at high luminances can be observed with these structures. In addition, the stacking sequences of the mixed systems lead to increased recombination efficiency by the trapping of charge carriers at the interfaces of the heterojunctions.
Helligkeiten deutlich ab.The The present invention addresses the general problem of phosphorescent light-emitting components, in particular organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), where the external quantum efficiency at high brightnesses decreases significantly. The main cause of the decline in efficiency is the nature of phosphorescent emitter molecules that are different as with conventional fluorescent dyes, from the electronic Emit triplet state. The actually quantum mechanically forbidden transition One with total spin is through the use of heavy metals such as platinum or iridium as the central atom for light emission accessible. The excited states, called excitons, have a medium life, even for modern ones Phosphorescent emitter molecules by orders of magnitude is longer than with fluorescent dyes. That's why the triplet excitons are much more susceptible to all conceivable extinguishing mechanisms that extinguish a result in such an excited state without the state may amount to the emission. Consequently, the quantum efficiency decreases clearly at high excitation densities or brightnesses.
- (a) by diffusion of the triplet excitons until two excited states are close enough to annihilate and
- (b) by long-range interaction, based on the Förster energy transfer model.

II. Transient analysis of trielet-trielet annihilation, Phys. Rev. B 62 (2000) 10967 - 2.

The minimization of the intrinsic lifetime of the excited triplet state on the emitter molecule: Here, it seems, the development is exhausted; modern emitters have triplet lifetimes of one microsecond and less. gibt einige Emissionsschicht-Strukturen, in denen die Emissionszone

realized using different emitter dyes with different emission colors in a proposed emission layer structure a coordinated color emission or white light emission.
The Suppression of energy transfer processes between different emitter dyes is essential for the Generation of white light, otherwise the energy through efficient transfer mechanisms for the most energetically favorable State is transferred, in particular the red emitter states, before a recombination occurs with the emission of photons.
Accordingly, the present invention can achieve both white light by emitting different zones of different emission spectrum and reducing diffusion-based triplet-triplet quenching. The combinatorial possibility, based on the invention, of arranging different emitter dyes spatially in the emission layer structure results in a simplified, modular variability in the color matching in order to produce light of a predetermined size spectrum, in particular to achieve white light.
