Abstract
Description
The so-called, today on two-lane motor vehicles essentially usual Electronic Stability Programs (ESP) can - as a vehicle dynamics control system according to the preamble of the claim 1 - significantly increase the driving safety of the vehicle, by upon reaching an unsafe driving condition, the longitudinal dynamics and the transverse dynamics of the vehicle directly influencing interventions made be, d. H. it will either be wheel-specific and preferably only On one side of the vehicle braking operations and / or on A steering axle initiated appropriate steering operations, with Help derer the vehicle to be stabilized. This is one Control circuit, such that by means of suitable actuators of or the interventions are or will be carried out until a stable driving condition is detected.
However, it is quite possible that through the vehicle dynamics control system less suitable actuator interventions are performed, partly because the current lateral stiffness of the tires (individually or related to an axle), also called skew stiffness is not considered with sufficient accuracy will or can be considered. in principle is namely the tire lateral stiffness, as a derivative the transmitted from a tire lateral force after the associated tire slip angle or simplifying as a quotient of the current side force and the associated side force Slip angle is defined, known depending on the slip angle of the tire, d. H. especially not constant. Furthermore, the measured so-called. Tire curve in which the transmittable side force over the skew angle is shown, a hysteresis Course on, by the running-in behavior of the tire and the normal force degression is caused. Furthermore, subject to the basic characteristics Of the tire itself strongly fluctuating influences, such as tire type and tire type, temperature, driving or unwinding speed, Wear rate, tire pressure, etc.
A Remedy for this problem to show, is an object of the present invention.
The The solution to this problem is for a vehicle dynamics control system according to the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that the tire lateral stiffness determined with sufficient accuracy (= Skew stiffnesses of the tires) individually for each wheel or are considered individually in the control system, where these tire lateral stiffnesses from the suitably determined wheel side force and the respective suitably determined tire slip angle be determined. Advantageous training and further education are content the dependent claims.
Thus, both a recognition of the current tire lateral stiffness either individually with respect to each tire of the vehicle or with regard to steering operations at least for the axle equipped with the steerable wheels, as well as the use of the recognized or suitably determined Tire lateral stiffness in the driving dynamics control. With that you can executed by the vehicle dynamics control by means of at least one actuator Control interventions are more targeted and robust than before.
One Integrated vehicle dynamics control concept generally includes the driver default, target model, controller, distributor and finally the Vehicle itself. The driver specifications (for example, a driver-specified Steering angle) become nominal values in the nominal model (in the case of a steering angle to a yaw rate) processed. These to be maintained target size is with the corresponding measured actual size compared, whereupon the ascertained control difference is fed to the controller. He has to decide which command value is required is the desired behavior defined by the target model of the vehicle. Based on the selected manipulated variable, which is, for example, to stabilize the Vehicle required yaw moment can act, can then in the mentioned Distribution of its distribution to one or more actuators, eg. on a front-wheel steering and a rear-wheel steering, done. It is extremely advantageous with regard to a sensible division, if the intervention potential of the individual actuators is known, d. H. in particular, if it is known how much extra Lateral force on the individual tires or on the tires of an axle considered together can still be transferred.
In the present case, the recognition of the intervention potential in the vehicle transverse direction is the main focus for the distribution of the control interventions. The corresponding wheel lateral forces can be analyzed and potential for corresponding actuator interventions in the dynamics of the vehicle, in particular in its transverse dynamics, can then be derived. Preferably, this is the transverse dynamics directly influencing Aktu actuators, which influence the steering angles of the individual wheels. Concretely, therefore, on a two-lane, two-axle vehicle, in which both the front wheels and the rear wheels (the latter usually only slightly) are steerable, be decided whether primarily on the rear axle or on the front axle, an additional steering angle for generating eg. Of the previous Or to which value a steering angle can be adjusted without the lateral rigidity of the tires affected by this setting being below a minimum value. In general terms, the actuator (s) can thus be controlled in a driving dynamics control system according to the invention such that the lateral stiffness of the tire or tires affected by this control does not fall below a minimum value. In particular, this minimum value lies in the range of the value "zero." In this sense, even in those cases in which the tire lateral rigidity comes very close to the value "zero" due to activation of an actuator, this actuator engagement can be reduced or canceled.
What the determination of the invention to be considered Tire lateral stiffness with sufficient accuracy, this is possible in different ways. On the one hand this can be done with the so-called secant method by the Radseitenkraft simply divided by the tire slip angle. Alternatively, the tire lateral stiffness or a raw signal be determined for this purpose by means of the so-called tangent method, by the temporal derivative of the wheel side force by the temporal Divide the tire slip angle is divided.

in
The Calculation according to the nonlinear tangent method according to the equation (2.2) shows a larger spread of recognized Stiffnesses than the linear secant method according to equation (2.1), whereby for the former a more precise determination results. However, this advantage has the disadvantage that the non-linear Calculation more sensitive by the formation of time derivatives to signal noise, i. H. the precision is the greater the lower the measurement signal is noisy Taking into account, therefore, may vary depending on the Accuracy request and dynamic request each better appropriate method can be selected.
Abweichend
For very small changes in the slip angle α, ie when the time derivative of the wheel slip angle comes close to the value "zero", eventually no realistic value for the tire side stiffness results, so the "slope determination" according to the tangent method then is stopped. A corresponding switching signal for this should be determined with a lesser delay than that used for slope determination. Since a filtering with a smaller time constant provides a more noisy signal, at this point a good compromise between attenuation of measurement noise and be set to a time delay.

So far, the determination of the tire lateral stiffness from the physical quantities "wheel side force F y " and "slip angle α" has been described. In principle, these variables can be continuously measured on the wheel of the vehicle. The slip angle is optically (preferably by laser) basically measurable and the side force can be determined by means of suitable sensors in the wheel hub. In today's mass-produced vehicles, however, such a measurement requires an unreasonable amount of effort. Therefore, it is proposed to estimate these required quantities in substitution with sufficient accuracy.
Was
Schräglaufwinkel αi (mit
i = v für die Vorderachse bzw. i = h für die Hinterachse des
(vgl. Gleichungen (2.8), (2.9) in
Was
auftreten. Hierzu wird auf die Gleichungen (2.3), (2.4), (2.5),
(2.6) in
With the proposed determination of the tire lateral stiffness, there is the advantage that no tire parameters are included. As a result, the proposed calculation method is relatively robust to tire wear, tire change, heating, and other perturbations unlike model-based systems. As already mentioned, with the thus obtained stiffness information, the activation of the actuator or actuators mentioned can then be targeted. if several actuators are controllable, so in the case of steerable wheels on both the front axle and the rear axle of the vehicle, a favorable distribution of the required manipulated variable (see above: for example, a stabilizing yaw moment) on the individual actuators. In the case of the steering control system already mentioned several times, a required steering angle can thus be derived at the front axle starting from the stabilization torque required by the governor, cf. the two equations (2.7). Furthermore, with the known tire lateral stiffness engagement of the actuator, so for example. A steering intervention, be reduced again when the tire or the respective axis saturate, ie if the determined lateral stiffness a minimum value (eg. In the order of slightly above zero). Moreover, in such a case, that is, when the determined with sufficient accuracy lateral stiffness c α is minimal for a period to be selected, ie practically assumes the value "zero", the current coefficient of friction equal to the maximum possible power quotient.
