It the object of the present invention is to provide a generic free-flame burner of this type to further develop that with a constant emission quality a smaller Space permits and Preferably, the efficiency of the burner is increased.
These The object is solved by the features of claim 1.
The burner device according to the invention builds on the generic state of the art in that the pore body is arranged in the gas flow direction behind a free flame region of the combustion chamber in the output region of the combustion chamber and completely occupies the cross section of the combustion chamber in the output region. This is based on the idea to integrate the often required afterburner in the form of a pore body in the combustion chamber itself. This eliminates the need for Downstream of a separate afterburner, whereby the required space is reduced. During operation of the burner, the pore body is heated up to the temperature of the combustion chamber, so that an efficient afterburning can take place at its inner surface, which is substantially enlarged by the pores. This effect can, as provided in an advantageous embodiment, be further improved by the fact that the inner pore surface of the pore body is covered with a catalytic material. This also includes the possibility that the pore body itself is formed of a catalytic material. In addition to the favorable afterburning, the device according to the invention has further advantages. Thus, the pore body can serve as an auxiliary ignition source in special cases. Because breaks the free flame in the combustion chamber because of short-term fuel shortage, the porous body in the rear region of the combustion chamber due to its high heat capacity initially maintains the high combustion chamber temperature. If the influx of ignitable gas mixture then resumes, the gas can ignite again on the still hot pore body, so that a free flame can form again in the upstream region of the combustion chamber. Another advantage that can result from the pore body is its sound-absorbing effect. Among other things, this effect can result, in particular, from the fact that fewer noise emissions are released due to the preferably laminating flames in the pore body.
On the one hand, this is sufficient for the porous body perform his previously described tasks, but on the other hand also sufficiently small that in vorgelager th part of the combustion chamber an efficient free-flame combustion can take place.
The invention provides that the pore body of a metallic or ceramic material is formed. Such materials may be porous, e.g. in the form of a fleece body, be formed and show a high heat resistance.
Diese Strahlungswärme ist besonders effizient auf eine Wärmetauschervorrichtung übertragbar, so dass sich im Rahmen dieser Ausführungsform ein gesteigerter Wirkungsgrad der Gesamtbrennervorrichtung ergeben kann.at a cheap one Further development of the invention is provided that outside arranged a heat exchange device of the combustion chamber adjacent to the porous body is. It is known that when incinerated in a pore body high proportion of radiant heat arises. This radiant heat is particularly efficient transferable to a heat exchanger device, so that in the context of this embodiment, an increased efficiency of the overall burner device.
