Abstract
Description
The The present invention relates to a black pigment-auxiliary combination with an improved relative color strength, their production and their use.
Trotzdem ist bei Schwarzpigmenten eine möglichst hohe Farbstärke erwünscht.inorganic Pigments are found in many areas of daily life. They are used, for example, for coloring building materials such as concrete and asphalt, emulsion paints, varnishes and plastics. While In inorganic colored pigments the highest possible chroma and a highest possible color strength he wishes is, inorganic black pigments have other requirements posed. Since black pigments are so-called non-colored pigments is a high chroma is not desired. For example, drifts the color of an iron oxide black pigment at too high a * value or b * value turns red or yellow off, leaving the pigment brown appears. For black pigments is thus a high chroma of Disadvantage. Nevertheless, with black pigments one is possible high color strength he wishes.
To the dye of concrete products, the pigments are used in a powdered state to a large extent. They have the advantage of good dispersibility in ground form. The complete Homogeneous distribution of such pigment powder takes place in the concrete mixer in a short time - until to few minutes. The disadvantage of these fine powders is that they do not have good flow behavior exhibit and store frequently clump together and clump together. The exact dosage is thereby difficult. Another disadvantage of some powders is that they tend to dust.
The prior art describes numerous methods with which the color strength of inorganic pigments should be improved to such a preferably to obtain optimal color impression in the application medium.

Of the Dusting and the poor meterability of pigments encountered you often today in that these powders are granulated before use. However, this often happens also lost some of the dispersibility, since the granules are usually to improve the transport properties through binders in their stability reinforced become. As a result, the granules are less in concrete preparations to disperse well. In the normal, in the construction industry usual short mixing times occur due to poor pigment distribution the concrete surface Specks, stripes or paint nests on. The pigments contained in the color strength can not unfold, so that at the same color intensity of the concrete workpiece larger amounts of pigment must be spent. Despite the described advantages of pigment granules is the building materials industry to a big one Part of the use of dry pigment powder remained.

The black pigment-auxiliary combination preferably uses as iron oxide black, iron-manganese mixed oxides, spinel mixed phase pigments, carbon pigments (carbon black) or mixtures thereof as inorganic black pigments. Examples of iron oxide black pigments are magnetite pigments (Fe 3 O 4 ). Iron-manganese mixed oxides (Mn, Fe) 2 O 3 are also known by the name iron manganese black. Spinel mixed-phase pigments are usually copper-chromium spinels CuCr 2 O 4 , in which also parts of the chromium can be replaced by iron, for example corresponding to the composition CuFe 0.5 Cr 1.5 O 4 . However, parts of the chromium can also be replaced by manganese, corresponding to the composition Cu (Cr, Mn) 2 O 4 . All of these compounds are known by the name spinel black.
The black pigment auxiliary combination preferably employs as the organic products from the auxiliary neomere TINT ® series from Chryso, partially or fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohols, alkyl sulfates, sulfonates, phosphates and phosphonates in the form of their alkali metal salts, or mixtures thereof. Partially hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohols are theoretically to be understood as a copolymer of vinyl alcohol with vinyl acetate.
Da die organischen Hilfsmittel oftmals nicht als Feststoff, sondern in Form von Lösungen, Suspensionen oder Emulsionen eingesetzt werden, verstehen sich die obigen Angaben auf den Wirkstoff bezogen.at the black pigment-aid combination are preferably the organic aids in an amount of 0.01% by weight to 20% by weight, preferably from 0.1% by weight to 5% by weight, calculated in each case as active ingredient, based on the inorganic black pigment (s). Since the organic aids are often not as a solid, but in the form of solutions, Suspensions or emulsions are used, the understood above based on the active ingredient.
Die Schwarzpigment-Hilfsmittel-Kombination enthält vorzugsweise weitere die Verarbeitbarkeit fördernde Hilfsmittel. Als weitere die Verarbeitbarkeit fördernde Hilfsmittel im Sinne dieser Erfindung gelten auch Emulgatoren, Netzmittel, Dispergierhilfsmittel, Fließhilfsmittel, Zerfallshilfsmittel oder Granulatbindemittel. The Black pigment-auxiliaries combination preferably contains further the Processability-promoting Aids. The Black pigment-aid combination preferably has one Residual water content of less than 5 wt .-%, preferably below 3 wt .-% to. This can optionally be achieved by a post-drying. The method for determining the residual water content is in the examples specified.
The Black pigment-auxiliary combination is preferably in granular form in front. Under "granules" is in context the invention understood every material whose average grain size in comparison with the starting materials increased by a treatment step is. Therefore, "granules" does not include only spray granules and compaction granules, but also for example products a wet or wet treatment with subsequent comminution, and products dry or substantially dry processing steps, for example, dry-made granules, briquettes and the like.

The The invention also encompasses a process for the preparation of a pigment-auxiliary combination, thereby characterized in that one or more inorganic black pigments be mixed with one or more organic adjuvants and the mixture is optionally dried and / or ground.
One Advantage of the production method according to the invention is that the conspiracy an aftertreatment substance or even a multi-step synthesis process for the Post-treatment in the preparation of the black pigment-auxiliary agent combination according to the invention not is required.
(1996) beschrieben. The Preparation of iron oxide black pigments is described in the literature. They are accessible through many methods. Iron oxide black pigments be on an industrial scale mainly produced by two processes (Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry, Fifth Completely Revised Edition, VCH Verlagsesellschaft mbH, Weinheim, Vol. A20, page 297 (1996): the precipitation process in which iron (II) salt solutions under Introducing air at about 90 ° C near of the neutral point with alkalis are precipitated until the desired Fe (III) / Fe (II) ratio is reached and the Laux process, in which nitrobenzene is metallic Iron is reduced to aniline and which can be controlled so that iron oxide black pigments are formed. The Preparation of the Black Pigment Aid Combination According to the Invention can be either from the dry pigment or in the wet phase (Suspension or paste).
For the mixing of pigment and auxiliaries can be carried out with all those known to the person skilled in the art Mixers are used. Depending on the mixing unit used Under some circumstances, it may still be beneficial in this procedure to add a mill downstream a complete and to obtain a homogeneous black pigment-auxiliary combination.
The inorganic black pigment (s) present in suspension or paster are preferably mixed with one or more organic auxiliaries, dried and optionally ground. In the case of production via the wet phase (suspension or paste), the aid or auxiliaries may be added to the finished preparation after the actual pigment synthesis in almost every step of the preparation and further processing of the pigment, for example after filtration and Wa the pigment and before drying it.
The Black pigment suspension or paste is preferably a suspension from the pigment production process. The addition of the aid in the wet phase is particularly preferred because in the suspension Addition and mixing in of the or the auxiliary) easily possible is.
The Black pigment suspension is preferably a redispersion of agglomerated particles. Also conceivable is the re-dispersing of already agglomerated particles, starting from pigment powder specifically a pigment suspension for to implement the reaction with the organic adjuvant (s). Subsequently a drying takes place. For The drying step is a series of aggregates available to the person skilled in the art to disposal. At this point, only duct, belt, deck, roller, drum, tubular, paddle dryer, or discontinuous chamber hoppers mentioned. The drying is preferably carried out by spray drying or fluidized bed drying. Preferably, spray dryers (Spray drying) used with spray discs or nozzles working in cocurrent or countercurrent process.
Before or after grinding, an additional tempering step may be required carried out become.
It is not essential to the invention, whether the combination of black pigment and aids in powder or granulated form. When the black pigment-auxiliaries combination is made in granulated form should be, so are suitable for it the common ones Method. According to the prior art come as a manufacturing process for pigment granulates spray granulation (Spray drying over disc or nozzle) in DC or countercurrent method, Build-up granulation (mixer, fluidized bed granulator, plate or Drum), compacting or extrusion process in question. Of course they are also combinations of these granulation conceivable. The Choosing the appropriate granulation method depends, among other things, on whether the aid is already in the wet phase (suspension or paste) was added or to the already dried black pigment. in the In the first case, the spray-drying or extrusion process, in the second case the compacting process.

12878: 2005, Kap. 5.12):
2 Sekunden). Härtung

Cement-quartz sand ratio 1: 4, water-cement value 0.35, pigmentation height 1.2%, based on cement, mixer used by RK Toni Technik, Berlin, with 5 l mixing bowl, type 1551, speed 140 U / min, batch: 1200 g quartz sand 0.1 to 1 mm, 600 g quartz sand 1 to 2 mm, 200 g limestone flour (<5% sieve residue on 90 μm sieve), 500 g white cement. The quartz sand fractions and the limestone powder are presented together in the mixing vessel. The pigment is then added and premixed for 10 seconds (mixer stage 1: slow). Add the water to this mixture, making sure it is placed in the middle of the mixture. After seepage, the cement is added and mixed (Mixer Stage 1: slow). After a mixing time of 100 s, a sample (600 g) is taken and from this a test piece (10 × 10 × 2.5 cm) is produced under pressure (pressing force 114 kN for 2 seconds). Hardening the specimens to the finished stone: 24 hours at 30 ° C and 95% relative humidity with subsequent drying of 4 hours at 60 ° C. Color data measurement via Dataflash 2000 Datacolor International, 4 measurement points per stone (measurement geometry d / 8 °, illuminant C / 2 ° with gloss inclusion). The mean values obtained are compared with the values of a reference sample (reference). The chromaticity distance ΔC from * and the relative color strength (reference sample = 100%) (DIN 5033, DIN 6174) are assessed. If the reference sample has a standard color value (brightness) Y <10, corresponding to an absolute L * value of <37.84, calculated according to the formula
