Abstract
Description
The The invention relates to a method for the treatment of sludge, in to the above the digested sludge settling water dissipated becomes.
These include For example, from primary sludges Precipitations, excess sludges Activated sludge biology, faecal sludges Fäkalschlammbehandlungseinrichtungen and sludge from digesters. As end products of further treatment steps - Here the digestion plays the dominant role - with the goal of stabilization (i.e., extensive biological inactivation and odor neutralization) of these sludges inevitably fall big, to be disposed of or further utilized sludge quantities. at these further treatment steps, in particular the digestion, fall big Amounts of highly contaminated turbid and filtrate waters which are mostly recycled to the wastewater treatment plant, recently, however, more and more often only after a valuable recovery step (e.g. Phosphorus and or nitrogen) The sludge disposal / recycling problem moves worldwide Always stronger into the center of interest of both environmental policy and the Environmental technology. This applies to Germany even in reinforced Dimensions, Here is the framework policy for sewage sludge disposal for the future limits the path of agricultural use very severely and the Disposal path landfill thoroughly will be omitted. Thus remains for countless operators of wastewater treatment plants only the way thermal disposal compared to agricultural Recycling and disposal in a landfill usually with considerable Additional costs.
Therefore are in the youngest Time method with the aim of reducing the amount of surplus sludge been developed. Various sludge digestion processes are already known, such as. the mechanical digestion in so-called cell mills, the Digestion by means of ultrasound, pressure-relaxation digestions as well various thermal, chemical and enzymatic processes.
These Procedures are usually taken directly before anaerobic treatment digesters used as a preparatory stage, because the outcrops the promote anaerobic degradation and accelerate and thus the sludge quantities to be disposed of be reduced.
Of the Disadvantage of these methods is that the amounts of to be treated, with nutrient salts such as nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, potassium and the like Cloudy and Filtratabwässern increase and thus the corresponding treatment costs.
Daneben
reduzieren auch unterschiedliche zweistufige Anaerobbehandlungsverfahren

oder thermophil → mesophil
(z.B.
Corresponding large dimensions All these methods can also be used until complete elimination of the surplus sludge. However, an appropriate implementation is out of the question, because then many nutrient salts concentrate in the wastewater stream. This would be particular for phosphorus simply not allowed and in terms of other nutrient salts due to the then occurring strong salination of the processes the wastewater treatment plants ecologically very questionable.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method the burden of accumulating turbid and filtrate, for example reduced with phosphorus and nitrogen and other nutrients and the Digested sludge but enriched with these substances.
The Task is solved by a method having the features of claim 1, claim 2 indicates a preferred embodiment of the method.
According to the invention Digested sludge in one or more parallel or serially operated Digestion reactor (s) anaerobically decomposed and then by static thickening made a mud-water separation. The aqueous phase is then by means of single-stage or combined process (for example membrane, Evaporation, ion exchange method), wherein the accumulating or accumulating concentrate water from below through washing the digested sludge into them. there becomes the "original" cloudy water in the sludge from this displaced and also the ones listed above Subjected to concentration. The digested mud, so to speak as a filter for in the felling out of this sedimenting water used.
- 1a) In the context of agricultural processing, the "only" statically diluted and nutrient-enriched digested sludge may be utilized directly, at about 6-8% DM, in which case only a comparatively low concentration is required to ensure that all turbid water ( including the displaced portion) is concentrated only to an amount which will be less than or equal to the amount of digested sludge resulting from static thickening, which in most cases comprises a concentration by a factor of 1.5 to 4. The nutrient-poor permeate is either effluent mature, so it can be used as process water, be recycled into the wastewater treatment or disposed of by indirect discharge.
- 1b) If the digested sludge enriched with nutrients (usually to 18-32% DM) is mechanically drained (if the whole concentrate is to remain in the digested sludge), a greater concentration must be achieved, namely to a concentrate amount which is less than or equal to the digested sludge quantity obtained after mechanical dewatering will be. This usually involves a concentration of the factor 4-15. The filtrate from the machine dewatering then corresponds to the concentrated turbid water which is washed back into the mud. For the nutrient-poor permeate, the same applies as under 1a.
- 2) In a thermal utilization of the digested sludge practically always a pretreatment as described under 1b. The advantages with respect to the permeate are the same as described under 1a. With regard to the thermal utilization results from the enrichment of the digested sludge with nitrogen advantages for the combustion process due to the catalytically advantageous effect of nitrogen; recovering the nutrients from the ashes will provide benefits due to the higher nutrient levels (especially phosphorus) of these sludges.
