Description
The Structure formation of surfactants and block copolymers in aqueous solutions has been known for a long time and becomes industrial and domestic used, e.g. in the form of surfactant micelles in detergents. At high Concentrations do not make these molecules isolated from each other present units, but arrange themselves to superstructures, the liquid crystalline Properties can have. They are on the nanometer scale phase-separated, in macroscopic but homogeneous. Depending on the pack properties then form planar or curved interfaces, the e.g. a hexagonal phase of tightly packed cylinders or one cubic phase of densely packed spherical micelles or even lamellar phases of densely packed planar bilayers.
[Chem. Materials 4 (1992) 24]), Nanodrähten (z.B. auf der Oberfläche von mikrophasenseparierten Styrol-PMMA-Blockcopolymers [W.A. Lopes, H.M. These Structures have already been used as templates in the past for one ordered synthesis of nanoparticles (from micelles, e.g., [Chem. Materials 4 (1992) 24]), nanowires (e.g., on the surface of microphase-separated styrene-PMMA block copolymer [W.A. Lopes, H.M. Hunter, Nature 414 (2001) 735]) or photonic crystals (e.g., cubic Phases).
By When the organic template is burned, mesoporous solids, e.g. of silicates, alumina and titania. exemplary Here are the works of J. S. Beck [Nature 359 (1992) 710] and Stucky [Science 279 (1998) 548; Nature 368 (1994) 317). The advantage of inorganic structures produced in this way is in the big specific surface, those porous structures make interesting for the application as catalyst, filter, etc. The main interest in the investigation of such manufacturing methods for nanostructured matter are porous Systems.
As However, the actually dynamic surfactant structure on the Crystallization process is unclear today. Thus can be for one Targeted production not yet a surfactant system from the outset to name. It seems a bit clearer for the less mobile block copolymers to be, whose structure is during the crystallization changes only insignificantly, so that one of an inorganic Image of the template can go out.
The Interaction between template and crystallization reaction is the basis for agreement of biomineralization. S. Mann & H. Coelfen [Angew. Chem. 115 (2003) 2452) give a good overview. The resulting structures hang in very strong and not yet understood details of temperature, pH, but also Crystallization rate and surfactant mobility.
The Influencing the structure of three-dimensional mesostructures of Block copolymers and surfactants and their blends with oils and others lead hydrophobic substances for the formation of microemulsions and so-called L3 phases, which are both oil-rich through an interpenetrating network and water-rich phases.

The Combination of phthalocyanine dyes and perylene for the preparation of solar cells was reported in Appl. Phys. Lett. 48 (1986) 183 by Tang, without However, to emphasize a large interface.
In Science 258 (1992) 1474, one by microphase separation of two immiscible substances, substituted polyphenylvinylene and substituted C60-buckminsterfullerene, a solar cell is described which has a high internal surface and therefore achieves good efficiencies. This procedure differs dramatically to the one described here in that a purposeful manufacturing structure through a surfactant or polymer matrix between two immiscible phases, is not realized there.

Beschreibung der ErfindungDescription of the invention
It is known to those skilled in that through the use of surface-active Substances, e.g. Surfactants or their mixtures stabilize interfaces to let. For decades, formulations have been made from a water-based ("Water phase") and with water immiscible ("oil phase") solution known due to the attachment of the surfactants in the interface between no longer separate the phases. These "emulsions" mentioned formulations can be reduced by low molecular weight surfactants, e.g. Alkyl sulfates or Alcohol ethoxylates, but also by polymeric surfactants, eg. B. alkyl acrylates, Proteins or starches, or block copolymers, e.g. Ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymers, produce. The special properties of the ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymers have long been the attention of public and industrial Research in the targeted production of predefined nanoscopic Structures achieved. But also by suitable adjuvants, such. Salts, form ionic surfactants alone or in mixtures with non-ionic Surfactants and cosurfactants depending temperature nanoscopic structures in formulations, e.g. L3 phases. Microemulsions contain a particularly effective surfactant system, that is capable of the interfacial energy between oil and water phase to the extent that under suitable conditions spontaneously a stable fine distribution of oil in water and water in oil in one bicontinuous structure arises, which in contrast to conventional Emulsions is thermodynamically stabilized. Therefore, microemulsions can also in balance with an oil-in-water and a water-in-oil emulsion consist.
Such by surfactant formulations of ionic and nonionic surfactants and cosurfactants and block copolymer stabilized structures are the Basis of the present invention. The claimed formulations are mixtures of an oil and a aqueous Phase with a bicontinuous structure. With bikontuierlicher Structure is a structure in which oil and water phases interpenetrate, without mixing. They are separated from each other with a typical one Structure size of 1 nm to 2000 nm, preferably 10 nm to 1000 nm, particularly preferably between 50 nm and 200 nm. These size data provide only an average over the entire volume of the formulation because these formulations characterized by high dynamics, especially if low molecular weight Surfactants and their mixtures are used.
The advantage of the bicontinuous structure is firstly that there is a high surface area between the oil and the water phase; this surface is crucial for the later use of the structure, which exploits interfacial phenomena, eg during production of opto-electronic components where electron fluxes across the interface are necessary for the power spectrum of the components (eg photovoltaic cells, LEDs) or filters in which adsorption of excipients at the interfaces is responsible for the filtering and extraction capacity.
To the On the other hand, the bicontinuous structure has a continuous channeling system as well as the water phase as well as the oil phase on. This allows transport processes throughout the entire structure through in separate domains realize, e.g. Electron flow in optoelectronic components.
Especially for small feature sizes, i. Domain diameter below 200 nm the structure does not start with the light anymore to interact (i.e., there is no more light scattering) and she becomes transparent. This can be done even with large layer thicknesses still produce transparent components. A possible inherent color of the components impaired Naturally due to specific absorption this property.

Damit lassen sich Eintopf-Herstellverfahren von mehrschichtigen Kompositen realisieren.special claimed are microemulsions, which have the additional advantage that can be stabilized in a formulation 3 phases: A solution / emulsion the water phase in a continuous oil phase, a solution / emulsion the oil phase in a continuous oil phase and the above-described bicontinuous phase. Leave it realize one-pot manufacturing process of multilayer composites.
