Description
The invention relates to an optical fiber cable according to the preamble of Claim 1 and a method for laying Optical fiber units using such Optical fiber cable according to the preamble of claim 10.
Optical fiber cables according to the prior art have one to the specific structure adapted to the intended purpose. Is that enough Capacity of a once laid fiber optic cable no longer sufficient, so according to the state of the art, additional, completely new Optical fiber cables can be installed. Then the full ones fall again Cable costs and the full installation costs. Especially if the optical fiber cable in a conventional way by performing Earthwork is relocated, the installation costs are significant.
Proceeding from this, the present invention is based on the problem a new type of optical fiber cable and a new method for Laying optical fiber units using one To create fiber optic cables.
This problem is solved by an optical fiber cable with the characteristics of Claim 1 and a method with the features of claim 10 solved.
In der Zeichnung zeigt: Preferred developments of the invention result from the Subclaims and the following description. Below is a Embodiment explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. In the drawing shows:

Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of a network installation to be realized with the optical fiber cable according to the invention.
Fig. 1 zeigt ein erfindungsgemäßes Lichtwellenleiterkabel 10 in perspektivischer Seitenansicht. Fig. 1 shows an inventive optical fiber cable 10 in a perspective side view. The optical fiber cable 10 shown there has a core element 11 , which is enclosed by an outer jacket 12 . The core element 11 acts as a strain relief element. According to FIG. 1, a first channel 13 running in the longitudinal direction of the optical waveguide cable 10 is arranged in the center of the core element 11 . In this first channel 13 , a first optical fiber unit 14 having a plurality of optical fibers is preinstalled. In this first optical waveguide unit 14 it can be, for. B. be a total of 144 optical waveguide element.
According to the invention, a plurality of second channels 15 , which also extend in the longitudinal direction of the optical waveguide cable 10 , are provided in an outer region of the core element 11 . The second channels 15 are arranged in the core element 13 such that the peripheral surface of the second channels 15 intersects the peripheral surface of the core element 11 . In other words, this means that the second channels 15 are open to the outside at least in sections along the circumferential surface of the core element 11 .
Second or additional optical waveguide units 16 can subsequently be installed in these second channels 15 assigned to the outer region of core element 11 . In the installed state, the optical fiber cable 10 according to the invention therefore has the capacity to subsequently install the second or additional optical fiber units 16 via the second channels 15 at a later point in time. Accordingly, if an underground network is to be added, this can be done particularly flexibly with the optical waveguide cable 10 according to the invention.
According to the invention, the second optical waveguide units 16 are either blown into the outer second channels 15 or pushed in or drawn in. In order to simplify this subsequent installation of the second optical waveguide units 16 or to enable them with less effort, the second channels 15 assigned to the outer region of the core element 11 have a friction-minimizing structure on their inner surface. In this way, the second optical waveguide units 16 can be blown into the second channels 15, for example, with little effort.
B. einblasen. Notches 17 running in the longitudinal direction of the optical waveguide cable 10 are arranged on the outer surface of the jacket 12 . One of the second channels 15 runs in the area of a cable segment delimited by two adjacent notches 17 . Along the notches 17 , the jacket 12 is with a simple tool, for. B. with a knife, over a length chosen by the user. In this way, a window 18 can be cut out of the jacket 12 . This is e.g. B. shown in Figs. 1 and 2. This window 18 can then be used to install a second optical waveguide unit 16 to be installed in the corresponding second channel 15 z. B. blow in.
B. unterschiedliche Farben aufweisen. In addition to the notches 17 , markings 19 are assigned to the outer jacket 12 . Such a marking 19 , which indicates the position of the corresponding second channel 15 , runs between two adjacent notches 17 along the second channel 15 , which also extends in this area. The markings 19 can, for. B. have different colors.
FIG. 3 shows a highly schematic illustration of an optical waveguide network 20 that can be implemented using the optical waveguide cable 10 according to the invention. The optical waveguide network 20 shown in FIG. 3 thus comprises five main nodes 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 and 25 , an optical waveguide cable 10 according to the invention running between two main nodes. The main nodes 21 to 25 are required in order to create an optical waveguide network 20 composed of individual optical waveguide cables 10 of limited length. At the main nodes 21 to 25 , all of the optical fibers of the first optical fiber units 14 are spliced together by optical fiber cables 10 to be connected to a specific main node. In addition, FIG. 3 shows consumers 26 which are connected to the optical fiber network 20 . These can be consumers 26 which are to be subsequently connected to the optical fiber network 20 . The procedure according to the invention is then such that a separate second optical waveguide unit 16 is subsequently installed in order to establish a connection between two consumers 26 in a second channel 15 of the optical waveguide cable 10 . In this way, the optical fiber network 20 can be retrofitted with little effort and, moreover, can be designed very flexibly.
Fig. 2 shows highly schematically the structure of a branching point 27 to a consumer 26th Thus, Fig. 2 shows the is moved in a shown in phantom tube 28 fiber optic cable 10. A further tube 29 branches off from the tube 28 at the branching point 27 . In the area of this branching point 27 , the window 18 is also cut out of the jacket 12 of the optical waveguide cable 10 . This exposes a second channel 15 running between the corresponding notches 17 , into which the second optical waveguide unit 16 for connecting the consumer 26 can then be subsequently blown in or pushed in or drawn in.
