Description
The invention relates to a method for mixing fiber material, in which the different to be mixed Fiber types each pre-opened, then a special mixing compartment and then from on the bottom of each mixing compartment arranged delivery rollers of adjustable speed one after the other be fed to a common conveyor belt. The invention also relates to a device to carry out this process, which consists of mixing compartments arranged one behind the other, to their Outlet each delivery rollers of adjustable speed are arranged, of which the fiber material is fed to a common conveyor belt.
It has hitherto been customary to produce specially composed mixtures with the help of the so-called batting process, in which a certain amount of each of the various mixture components, ie the various types of fibers or fibers with different properties, is deposited in a mixing chamber in superimposed layers. The contents of the room are then mixed until the entire mass is considered to be thoroughly mixed. If the fiber material is laid down in layers, one also tries to achieve a sufficiently good mixture by knocking off the fiber bed, the fibers being cut through in places. These mixing processes are necessarily imperfect because they do not ensure the production of a more or less homogeneous fiber mixture, so that in order to produce sufficiently uniform yarns and fabrics it is necessary to carry out numerous doubling of the sliver on the subsequent machines. Another serious disadvantage of the beating process arises from the fact that, by its nature , it can only be carried out with interruptions and is consequently unsuitable for continuous delivery to the following processing machines.
It has therefore already been proposed that the types of fiber to be mixed each separately in one Put down the mixing compartment and from the compartments arranged one behind the other via delivery rollers of each adjustable speed to a common conveyor belt for further processing. Here, the fiber material is only in the shape of quite thick, more or less irregular Layers deposited on the conveyor belt. However, this known method also has the disadvantage that in this way it is not possible to achieve such an intimate and homogeneous mixing of the fibers as they can to achieve the greatest possible uniformity of the yarns and fabrics produced therewith desirable is.

The invention is based on the object of avoiding these disadvantages. For this purpose leaves According to the invention, the fiber material, the mixing compartments in the form of fiber webs that extend over the whole ■ Extend the width of a needle lath serving as a conveyor belt and that immediately after the exit from the delivery rollers or the like from tear-off needles in fiber flocks attached to the batten divided and then as thin superimposed layers of the individual fiber types into one Distribution containers are conveyed where they are e.g. B. od by a stripping roller. Like. Simultaneously from the needle lath removed. In the device for performing the new method according to In accordance with the invention, the delivery rollers or the like extend over the entire width of the needle lath Conveyor belt, whose inclined upwards and in the direction of travel needles just below the Delivery rollers are arranged, and is located at the deflection of the needle lath in its returning Part of a scraper roller for the from. taken up on the pale cloth and further promoted Fiber flakes, under which a distribution container is attached.

Die mit Hilfe des neuen Verfahrens hergestellten Garne oder Gewebe zeichnen sich durch eine sehr große Gleichmäßigkeit aus.so largely divided and intimately mixed with one another that they are almost completely in the mixture produced rise homogeneously and the specific properties inherent in them only with the help of a thorough Analysis can be determined. This result is due to the fact that the The needles of the picket cloth combed out fiber flakes are very fine, and in thin layers, on the Pale cloth moved past the delivery units. This blending takes place in such a way early stage of fiber processing takes place that much less sliver doubles on the subsequent Machines are required. Draw the yarns or fabrics made using the new process are characterized by a very high uniformity.

In the arrangement shown in FIG. 1, the box feeders designed in a known manner are denoted by 1 designated. Each box feeder 1 is supplied with one of the different types of fiber to be mixed. Each box feeder 1 delivers the product to a compressed air delivery line 2. through which the fibers den Delivery units are supplied to the mixing device, which is designated in Fig. 1 with 3. The one in the Mixing device 3 produced mixture is through compressed air supply lines 4 one or more Devices supplied, which consist of box feeders 5 and openers 6 known per se. It is expedient to adjust the box feeder 1 so that they deliver a fiber material of a uniform degree of resolution, which is suitable for the exact determination "the delivery quantity is in the most suitable condition.
In Fig. 2, a mixing device 3 is shown. It consists of a set of delivery units with adjustable delivery rate of which contains each of a vertical mixing compartment 7 is disposed at the upper end of one of the conventional rotating sealed drum compressor 8, ^ 5 which is enclosed by a housing 9, in which the 'compressed-air feed pipe 2 opens. The drum compressors 8 are ventilated with the aid of fans 10 which are connected to them by lines 11 and each have an outlet 12.
Of the otherwise open outlet opening at the lower end of each mixing compartment 7, two are in opposite directions Sensing rotating delivery rollers 13 arranged so that the contents of the conveyor pipe 7 from this exits with a delivery speed that depends on the speed of rotation of the rollers is.
The mixing compartments 7 are arranged side by side so that the respective rollers 13 in one common horizontal plane. They are equidistant from each other and about the entire width of the upper horizontal track of a needle lath rotating at high speed 14 arranged, which is set in circulation via a drive roller 15 and with a stripping roller 17 cooperates. With the aid of the stripping roller 17, the fiber material is removed from the lath 14 and a distributor container 18 in the form of the two-way distributor 18 shown in FIG. 1, the delivers the fiber material to the box feeder 5 through the supply lines 4. The pale cloth carries closely spaced transverse bars 19 provided with rows of needles 20 pointing in the direction of movement of the batten are inclined. The needles 20 are uniform on the sheet surface arranged distributed so that they the entire width of the emerging from the delivery rollers 13 fiber webs capture in the same way. The tips of the needles come so close to the rollers 13 that that they pass through the front edge of the fiber web protruding between the pins 13 Tear off small flocks of fiber and then as thin layers one on top of the other convey the individual fiber types to the distribution container 18, where they are simultaneously carried out by the stripping roller 17 can be removed from the needle slat.
The expression "thin superimposed layers" used above to denote the shape of the On the needle lath cloth 14 dumped fiber material was used, is not intended to mean that the fibers form a continuous layer or blanket of equal thickness or impermeability. It is evident that when tearing off very fine flakes from one end of the fiber web, that from one end of the web is irregular and more or less randomly distributed fiber mass originates, a uniformly thick fiber layer is not achieved can be. The layers can easily be used when using the method according to the invention and in the production of a satisfactory mixture have places where only a little Fibers are present. The degree of approximation to an uninterrupted, uniform fiber layer depends mainly on the fact that the distance between the needles 20 and the rollers 13 is as small as possible.
The various rotating parts of the device are driven by two electric motors 21, 22. The shaft of the motor 21 is with one of the fans 10 by the drive belt 23, with the Drive rollers 24 of the drum compressor 8 by the drive belts 25, 26, 27 and 28 and with the drive roller 15 of the batten 14 by the drive belt 29 connected. The shaft of the motor 22 is connected to the second \ ^ ventilator 10 by the drive belt 30 and each with one roller of the roller pairs 13 by a drive belt 31, a pulley 32, a Shaft 33, a pulley 34, a drive belt 35, a pulley 36, bevel gears 37, 38, a Shaft 39 and separate belt drives connected, each of which consists of a pulley 40, a drive belt 41, a speed control gear 42, a drive belt 43, a pulley 44, a Shaft 45 and a worm gear 46, 47 consists. The stripping roller 17 is useful with the roller 15 connected by spur gears 48, 49.
The delivery speed of the roller pairs 13 can in a manner known per se for each unit can be determined separately by setting the speed control gear 42 accordingly.
The fiber material fed to each drum compressor 8 through the conveyor lines 2 is
Compressors 8 compressed and then introduced into the mixing compartments 7, in which a substantially Maintain a uniform delivery speed with the aid of photoelectric signal cells 50 that respond to changes in the amount of fiber material in the mixing compartments 7 and which are connected by lines 51 to suitable electronic devices 52 which are used for controlling of each with the delivery side of a box feeder 1 cooperating, schematically illustrated four speed regulators 53 are used. The order is here made so that the delivery speed of the box feeder 1 as a function is controlled by the speed at which the fiber material from the mixing compartments 7 through the Roller pairs 13 is promoted.
The fiber flocks deposited in layers on the needle lath 14 are passed through the stripping roller 17 removed from the needle lath 14 and introduced into the distribution container 18, of which from the fiber material the box feeders 5 and the openers 6 is fed. The box feeder 5 can can also be omitted if desired. In this case, the openers 6 are directly through the distributor 18 fed. It is useful to provide a photoelectric signal cell 54 in the distributor 18, which is connected by a line 55 to an electronic device 56 which controls a clutch 57 serves. The coupling 57 is on the shaft 33 between those used to drive the roller pairs 13 Pulleys 32 and 34 arranged. The arrangement here is such that when the cell 54 is actuated, the roller pairs 13 of each conveyor tube 7 are stopped so that the delivery of the fiber material to the lath is interrupted. If that in the box feeders 5 (Fig. 1) deposited fiber material has reached the desired height, actuates an in Each box feeder 5 arranged photoelectric cell a suitable device in the distributor 18 in such a way that the delivery of the fiber material to the box feeder 5 is automatically set. When actuated of the two photocells, the cell 54 comes into effect, and at the same time it becomes the Feeding of the distributor 18 interrupted. The device provided in the distributor 18 can be known in a known manner Way consist of electrically controlled doors that are electrically connected to the photocells in the box feeders are connected.
By a suitable setting of the speed control gear 42, with the help of which the transmission ratio between the. Pulleys 40 and 44 of the drive for the rollers 13 can be changed, it is possible to adjust the delivery speed of the mixture ingredients to determine the pale cloth 14 as it is to achieve a certain Composition of the fiber mixture fed to the distributor 18 is required. The different Delivery units can be calibrated for certain types of fibers, so that the desired Proportion of a fiber type in a given mixture regardless of its density in per se known Way only by adjusting the rotational speed of the roller pairs 13 of the question Mixing compartment 7 achieved with the aid of the corresponding continuously variable speed control gear 42 can be..
In the one shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, modified Embodiment, the drum compressor 8 of each mixing compartment 7 is on two rubber-coated Rollers 58 which set the drum compactor in circulation by means of spur gears 59, 60 (FIG. 5). the Rollers 58., of which the inner two are adjacent Carrying drum compactors 8, at the same time close the spaces between the drum compactors 8 and the parts of the housing which lie between the lines 2 and the mixing compartments 7. the Drum compressors 8 have collars 61 that roll in grooves on the shafts. 58 and thereby prevent lateral displacement of the drum compactor 8 during rotation.
In both of the exemplary embodiments described above, photoelectric signal cells 50 and 54 are used. It is desirable here to provide facilities in the circuits of these cells their help; an unevenly acting delay in the actuation of the control device in this way it is achieved that idling is avoided by ensuring that the control device is immediately in Activity occurs when the storage height of the fiber material in the mixing compartments or crate feeders drops, and that at the same time it is avoided that the control device already with a temporary interruption of the the light beam exciting the cells through the falling into the mixing compartment 7 or the box feeder 5 Fiber material is put into action.
If desired, the box feeders 1 can be replaced by other suitable opening machines, which are provided with a feed device, which of the with the mixing compartment 7 of the mixing device interacting photoelectric device can be temporarily stopped or started, to regulate the delivery speed of the corresponding mixed compartment.
