The plate part is attached to the tibia part via a pivot pin (10) allowing it to pivot through a limited angle of between -5 degrees and +5 degrees.

Description

The present invention relates to an ankle endoprosthesis. A generic ankle prosthesis has one in the tibia implantable tibia part, a talus part implantable in the talus and a with plateau part releasably connectable to the tibia part with two talus-facing, troughs separated by a central web, which serve as sliding surfaces for correspondingly convex surface facing the tibia Talus section shaped skids, which from a the central web of the Plateau part corresponding gutter are separated.

This ankle endoprosthesis has proven itself very well in practice. As the rigidity of the joint turned out to be problematic at the moment if, for example, incorrect implantation of the tibia part of the entire joint is constantly under tension. There is none for this in the known joint Possibility of compensation provided.

Against this background, it is the object of the present invention that Generic ankle prosthesis so that a Compensation option for incorrect implantation of the tibia part is created.

This problem is solved by the characterizing features of the claim 1 for a generic ankle endoprosthesis.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen.Advantageous further developments result from the subclaims.

Accordingly, the invention provides that the plateau part with the tibia part is so connectable that - starting from the zero position - at an angle in Range from -5 ° to + 5 ° limited by the vertical axis of one in the Tibial part recessed pin is pivotally mounted.

This pivoting or rotating possibility compensates for incorrect implantations, that is, implantation of the tibia part with an incorrect orientation in the large scale. The incorrect implantations are caused by the fact that the during the operations anyway restricted conditions Size ratios are relatively small and deviations of just a few degrees from the ideal axis of implantation effects on the entire joint cause. The possibility of rotation in the ankle according to the invention now allows a compensatory movement of the plateau part on the tibia part and helps to avoid or reduce internal joint tensions. It comes because of incorrect implantation to tension in the ligaments, that's what it looks for Plateau part automatically the position of the lowest tension, that is, the joint provides automatically adjust to a state that is as tension-free as possible. The patient notices this through a symptom-free physiological movement on the one hand and extensive freedom from pain in the ligamentous apparatus on the other hand.

The tibia part has a box-shaped design, particularly preferably on the talus side Boundary edge on the stop for the pivoting movement of the Plateau part forms. The plateau part has a swivel base, which is the section with the excavations follows, the amount of the Swivel base is at least equal to the height of the boundary edge and the Pin the tibia part into a corresponding recess in the swivel base attacks.

The box-shaped boundary edge can be according to a preferred one Embodiment closed, that is, be all-round. In this by doing so formed enclosure is then placed on the plateau part. The specified Swiveling range is achieved by appropriate shaping of the Swivel base, which with a deflection of -5 ° or + 5 ° to the Boundary edge abuts, so that for further pivoting movement is prevented.

According to a second preferred embodiment, the box-shaped Boundary edge open on one side, so that the swivel base in the open boundary area can be pushed into it. This is in the Swivel base recessed an elongated hole in which the pin of the tibia part during the use of the plateau part in the tibia part and its End of a stop for the pin in the end position of the plateau part and that Forms the center of the pivoting movement. The plateau part comes with its So swivel base with the recessed slot placed on the pin and pushed into the open boundary area until the pin strikes at the end of the elongated hole. In this position, the plateau part with the Swivel pin as pivot axis in the desired way. The advantage this embodiment is an easier replacement of any worn plateau part.

It is particularly preferred to increase the stability of the overall joint provided that a at the medial trough of the plateau part Anti-luxation edge is formed. This anti-luxation edge encloses the medial molded skid more than in the area of the lateral skid and thus prevents dislocation medially. This measure supports the Rotational property of the rotating part on the tibia part, in which any Under certain circumstances, the tendency to dislocate when swiveling in border areas increases could lead to an increased tendency to dislocation.

Hierbei zeigt:The invention is illustrated by way of example with reference to the following Drawing figures explained in more detail. Here shows:

In the following, identical parts are provided with the same reference symbols.

A first gain an overview of FIGS. 1 and 2, showing the three components of the total ankle, the tibia part 1, the Talusteil 2 and the plateau portion 3 in a perspective view from different directions.

The plateau part 3 has two troughs 5 and 6 facing towards the valley, which are separated by a central web 4 . The troughs 5 and 6 serve as sliding surfaces for correspondingly convexly designed skids 7 and 8 , which are formed on the surface of the talus part 2 facing towards the tibia. The skids 7 and 8 are separated from one another by a groove 9 corresponding to the central web 4 of the plateau part 3 . The plateau part 3 is formed in the present case from a swivel base 12 and from a section 13 in which the troughs 5 and 6 are formed. The swivel base 12 is designed to work together with the tibia part 1 on its underside. For this purpose, the tibia part 1 has a box-shaped boundary edge 11 on the talus side. The swivel base 12 is pushed into the periphery of the boundary edge 11 . However, in this area the tibia part 1 has a pin 10 , about which the plateau part 3, after assembly of the endoprosthesis, should be pivoted at an angle α ( FIG. 4, FIG. 7) in the range from -5 ° to + 5 °. For this purpose, an elongated hole 15 ( FIG. 2, FIG. 4) is provided in the swivel base 12 , along which the pin 10 is guided through the boundary edge 11 when the plateau part 3 is inserted into the enclosure. At the end of the elongated hole 15 , the pin 10 finds its stop. As a result, the plateau part 3 finds its pivot axis in the form of the pin 10 .

The shape of the swivel base 12 now decisively determines the size of the swivel angle α, in that from an angle that would be <α, the outer contours of the swivel base 12 come to a stop at the boundary edge 11 .

Fig. 3 shows a sectional view through the assembled implant with the properties described above. In the present case it is also shown how an anti-luxation edge 16 is formed on the medial trough 6 in the plateau part 3 in order to give the overall joint an even higher overall stability.

Fig. 5 shows a view very similar to Fig. 3, but with no anti-luxation edge. For example, this could be omitted for a smaller swivel range than that already specified above.

FIG. 6 shows a view similar to FIG. 5, but with an all-round edging of the box-shaped boundary edge 11 '( FIG. 7). Here, the pivot base 12 of the plateau part 3 is completely surrounded by the boundary edge 11 '. The pin 10 finds its abutment in the recess 14 in the plateau part 3 . Here, too, the outer contours of the swivel base 12 determine the size of the swivel area.
