Description
DEUTSCHESGERMAN
The invention relates to a sludge centrifuge in which the rotor consists of a hollow, conical There is drum and in this a screw conveyor rotates with respect to the drum to the To convey sludge along the conical walls to the sludge outlet at the end of the conical drum with the smaller diameter. Such centrifuges are common intended only for removing the sludge particles from a sludge-containing liquid. The liquid outlet the drum lies in the end of the conical drum with the larger diameter. The distance of the liquid outlet from the axis of rotation is chosen so that the outer part of the Drum of; Liquid, while its inner part is free of liquid. During operation a free liquid surface is thereby formed in the shape of a cylinder, which is the jacket wall of the conical drum cuts somewhere between its two ends. At this At the intersection, the screw conveys the sludge out of the liquid and then further along the Drum wall to the outlet. The distance taken by the mass of the mud along the wall outside the Liquid has to travel, serves as a drying zone for the sludge. The centrifugal force also acts in this zone on the liquid bound by the sludge so that it is thrown out of the sludge and flows back to the liquid in the drum part with the larger diameter. As a consequence of this it results that a relatively dry sludge is discharged at the opposite end of the drum will.
In many cases the liquid separated from the sludge space consists of a mixture of two Components, for example an aqueous phase and an oil phase. This is the case, among other things in the extraction of fish oil. To separate the sludge from such a mixture, it is already known in a sludge centrifuge to remove the sludge and the two components of the liquid mixture either together through a common liquid outlet or individually through separate outlets, whereby in the former case the components are then in a special one Centrifuge are separated from each other.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine derartige, die Komponenten durch getrennte Ablässe austragende Zentrifuge zum Trennen des Schleudergutes in eine leichtere und eine schwerere Flüssigkeitskomponente sowie in eine Schlammkomponente mit aus zwei in axialer Richtung hintereinander angeordneten konischen Vollmanteltrommeln, die zusammen einen stufenförmigen Mantel bilden und mit diesem zu-Zentrifuge zum Trennen des Schleudergutes in eine leichtere und eine schwerereThe invention relates to such a device which discharges the components through separate outlets Centrifuge for separating the centrifuged material into a lighter and a heavier liquid component as well as a sludge component with two conical ones arranged one behind the other in the axial direction Solid jacket drums, which together form a stepped jacket and with this centrifuge to separate the material to be spun into a lighter and a heavier one

According to the invention it is proposed in a centrifuge of this type, the overflow edge between the to arrange both drums at a smaller distance from the axis of the drum than the outlets for the lighter or the heavier liquid component and these outlets in the end wall of the one Arrange drum.
By regulating the radial position of these outlets, according to the invention, in a simple manner Liquid space determines the position for the boundary layer between the two liquid components, so that one of the components is cleaned as much as possible from the other, which is the case with the known Devices was not possible.

Since only part of the liquid in the clarifying part 1 forms during operation the dry zone is spun off, whereas the free liquid level 14 is in the form of a cylinder, The rest of the liquid is retained by the sludge, which forms the conical inner surface of the part 1 this would mean that the mud intersects one at 15 and the conical surface proportionately large part of the oil with it. Banjo bolt 21 runs. By radially adjusting the free lower edge of the screw either by or unscrewing or by optionally inserting screws of different lengths inwards protruding shaft, the position of the interface 17 can be adjusted depending on the nature of the two liquid components so that the interface can be placed on the most favorable radius for the separation.
The outlet 18 for the lighter liquid component determines a liquid in the drum 2 keitsiveau 16, which has a larger diameter than the clear width of the overflow edge 3. Consequently liquid flows from drum 1 into drum 2 and sludge flows in the opposite direction from the drum 2 into the drum 1. The overflow edge 3 determines the liquid level in the drum 1 14, the diameter of which must be smaller than that of the liquid level 16. This Liquid level 16 is in direct communication with the outlet 18 through the wall 19 c (See Fig. 2), which forms part of the screw conveyor and ends in a radial edge that is an immediate Connection between the outlet 18 and the spaces between the threads of the screw conveyor enables. One can say, for example, that the wall designated by 19 c in FIG. 2 is the radial sharp edge represents at the end of the screw conveyor.
Der Auslaß 20 ist in seiner radial innersten Stellung gezeigt ; er kann durch Verstellen der Hohlschraube 21 auch weiter nach außen verschoben werden.19 & (FIG. 2) denotes a disk which has the task of preventing the light liquid component from flowing to the outlet 20. Only the heavier liquid component can flow from the drum 2 through the annular gap, designated 19 in FIG. 1, between the peripheral edge 19 α of the wall 19 b and the shell of the drum 2 to the outlet 20, as indicated in FIG. 2 by flow arrows. Sheets 19 d fastened in places to the screw conveyor are intended to prevent sludge from collecting in the corner of the wall 19 b by being gripped by the sheets 19 d and pushed against the screw conveyor 8. The outlet 20 is shown in its radially innermost position; it can also be moved further outwards by adjusting the hollow screw 21.
The sludge-containing liquid is fed through a fixed pipe 22 (Fig. 1) which is inserted into the revolving drum protrudes and is located in the drum in a chamber 23 provided with blades opens, from where the liquid enters the clarifying section at 24.
The invention offers significant advantages over the previously used sludge centrifuges. So In the case of easily separable components, the oil can often be transferred directly to a subsequent clarifying centrifuge be finely cleaned, whereas it was necessary with the methods used so far, first water and Separate oil in a cleaning centrifuge before finely cleaning the oil in a clarifying centrifuge could. Furthermore, for example in the fish oil process, the water or the greater part of the Water, which often makes up the bulk of the liquid being fed, is early in the process are separated, which noticeably reduces the load on the following machines will. Finally, the annoying emulsification that is unavoidable with oil and water is avoided leave the drum together; this emulsion makes the subsequent separation of oil and Water in large measure.
