Abstract

The water flowing over a weir or diverted from a torrent is collected in buckets which are enclosed on all sides but open at the top. These buckets are fastened between two chains tensioned by two upper and two lower gearwheels. The filled buckets are lowered into the lower lying river bed, emptied, and then transported up on the opposite side to be filled again. Two guide blocks are installed on both sides of each bucket so that the containers hang vertically over the new river bed and are then emptied directly over the new water plane by means of guide pins fitted on the chains.

dadurch gekennzeichnet,

Diese Kästen sind zwischen 2 Ketten, die über 2 obere und 2 untere Zahnräder gespannt sind, befestigt.
Neben den Achsen werden die gefüllten Kästen in das tiefergelegene Flussbett gesenkt, entleert, und werden auf der Gegenseite wieder nach oben befördert und wieder befüllt (paternosterähnlich).
Je 2 Halteklötze an beiden Seiten der Kästen sind so angeordnet, daß die Behälter bis dicht über das neue Flussbett senkrecht hängen und erst direkt über dem neuen Wasserspiegel durch die an den Ketten angebrachten Führungsstifte entleert werden.
