Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a line system for the passage of a gas, in particular egg NEN intake tract of an internal combustion engine, which an electromagnetic converter Generation of a noise influencing the gas flow in the line section ent holds, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Electromechanical transducers of the type described in the introduction are usually in the form of a sound speakers and are for example in the intake area of internal combustion engines NEN used to generate a correction sound, which is the intake noise is superimposed. This can reduce or change the level of the intake noise be changed, this being interpreted as a correction of the intake noise. As an an example for such a device in the intake tract or in the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine machine can be used, the US 5 119 902 is to be mentioned.
The disadvantage of using the speakers described is their sensitivity against dirt. Therefore, the drive of this electromagnetic transducer must be encapsulated be, which incurs additional effort. The actuator must also be in shape the loudspeaker diaphragm are acoustically shielded from the engine compartment, since only one acoustic influence within the system limits e.g. B. the intake tract of Internal combustion engine is desired. The shield also provides an additional layer wall and requires installation space that is not available in all cases.
The object of the invention is therefore a line system with an electromechanical converter to create a sound that is inexpensive to manufacture and requires little installation space. This object is achieved by the features of patent claims 1, 2 and 7 solved.
The invention is characterized in that the drive of the electromechanical Transducer is mounted in the line system in such a way that it is in the line system extracted gas stream is exposed. The gas flow conveyed provides cooling of the drive instead, which prevents excessive heating. The electromechanical The transducer is usually a loudspeaker, the actuator being the loudspeaker membrane is and the drive is carried out by an electrical coil into which a bobbin is inserted is brought. The cooling of the components mentioned enables the selection of a smaller type drives the speaker because of overheating and the resulting failure of the converter can be counteracted in the event of continuous use. Thereby Not only can installation space and weight be saved in an advantageous manner. A wide one The positive effect is the possibility of using cheaper speakers nen.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the drive is housed in the line system in this way is that this with a clean side of the line formed by the filter section communicates. In this way, the drive can be protected against contamination be protected if it is installed in the pipe system in such a way that it can be directly connected to the pumped gas communicated. This is especially the case when the drive is direct is exposed to the gas flow. The advantage of the clean-sided arrangement is the elimination an encapsulation that protects the sensitive drive from contamination. Consequently can also save space, part weight and costs through this measure become.
Of course, the embodiments of the claims described in the introduction can also be combined with each other, which leads to a combination of the advantages. The The main advantage of the described arrangement concepts results from the elimination a separate volume to accommodate the drive for the electromechanical Converter. Both sides of the membrane used, the z. B. one Can form speakers, communicate with the line section of the system and so influence the noise emission. This allows the size of the Converter have a much greater impact on noise emissions. This opti Lubrication step leads to a further reduction in the installation space required.
If both sides of the membrane are used to influence the intake noise the, an acoustic tuning according to a further embodiment of the invention thought through additional channels and / or volumes. In doing so, the Superposition of the air vibrations generated by both sides of the membrane is used. Can be advantageous in frequency ranges that a strong correction by the speaker or other converters need to be amplified by superimposing the emitted Vibrations, weakening can be achieved in other areas.
When using the pipe system in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine who the means to achieve the object of the invention on the one hand to control the Ge Noise generation on the other hand to adapt the intake noise to the desired ge noise provided. The desired sound does not have to be reduced of the intake noise. With the device described, the Ge noise to any Ge within the performance of the electromechanical transducer approximate noise characteristics. This process is called sound design. It It has been shown that the subjective impression of the intake noise from the Noise characteristics depend as well as on the absolute noise level. A targeted Ver Change in the intake noise with the help of the device described can in In many cases, however, it is easier to carry out than a reduction or extinction. The Space for complex conventional acoustic measures such as resonators or Quarter wave tubes can be saved at least partially. The possible structure of the Means of control and adaptation can be used, for example, with the patent application see file number DE 199 49 685.4.
In order to achieve an optimal adaptation of the intake noise, the means for Control and adjustment, which is implemented, for example, by an electronic control can be equipped with a memory for typical driving conditions. This driving States can be stored in the control together with other maps and thus form the parameters for the desired sound to be achieved. Through the spit A change in the noise characteristics of the internal combustion engine can also occur or the intake tract can be compensated for by pollution or aging is effected. The control thus forms a self-learning system, which is advantageous the function is fully maintained over the operating time of the internal combustion engine can be held.
Especially when using the pipe system as an intake tract for a burner engine result in particularly advantageous installation locations for driving the elect mechanical converter in the air filter housing or in the intake manifold. The installation can both on the clean side of the filter and in the intake air flow, with the already discussed benefits of avoiding pollution and cooling the An urged.
These and other features of preferred developments of the invention go beyond from the claims also from the description and the drawing, the individual characteristics each individually or in groups in the form of sub-combination NEN can be realized in the embodiment of the invention and in other fields and can represent advantageous and protectable versions for which here Protection is claimed.
Hierbei zeigenFurther details of the invention are shown in the drawing using schematic Described embodiments. Show here

An internal combustion engine 10 is shown schematically in FIG. 1. This has a suction tract 11 with a throttle valve 12 and an exhaust system 13 . The direction of the intake air and the exhaust gas is indicated by arrows.
An electromechanical transducer 14 , which is designed as a loudspeaker, is arranged in the area of a line section 25 in the intake tract. On a Ansaugstut zen 15 , a sensor 16 , here designed as a microphone, attached. Furthermore, a control is provided as a means 17 for controlling the generation of noise by an actuator 26 of the converter 14 and for adapting the intake noise to at least one desired noise, which is supplied with an actual noise signal I picked up by the sensor 16 and a speed signal D taken from the internal combustion engine 10 . The speed signal can e.g. B. measured by a speed sensor 18 . It is also possible to measure the throttle valve angle with the aid of a position sensor 19 . This creates another parameter P, which can also be processed by the controller.
Daraus resultiert das Istgeräuschsignal I.The control generates a control signal A tot , which is converted by the electromechanical converter 14 into a correction sound 20 , 20 '. This is the Ansaugge noise 21 of the internal combustion engine, which spreads through the intake tract 11 , superimposed. This results in an actual noise 22 which, for. B. can be measured on the intake manifold 15 by the sensor 16 . This results in the actual noise signal I.
The electromechanical transducer 14 consists of the actuator 26 , in the exemplary embodiment designed as a loudspeaker membrane, and a drive 27 , which is formed by a coil with a core. The drive 27 projects into the line section 25 and is thus acted upon by the intake air for cooling. The connected to the drive 27 Memb ranseite of the actuator 26 forms part of the wall of the line section 25 , where the membrane vibrations as correction noise 20 is transmitted directly to the intake air.
Furthermore, the diaphragm side facing away from the drive is connected to an additional volume 28 , which communicates with the line section 25 via an additional line 29 . By the distance of a line feed 30 of the electromechanical transducer 20, the length of the additional line 29, and the size of the additional volume 28 is an acoustic tuning may be carried out, so that a targeted superposition of the supplied through the to set line 29 to the line section 25 correction noise 20 'and the correction noise 20 is reached.
The controller 17 is constructed as a digital computer. The control signal A tot must therefore be converted by a digital-to-analog converter 24 into an analog signal, with the aid of which the electromechanical converter 14 can be controlled. This embodiment represents the cheapest variant in terms of component costs, production costs and the reliability of the device. However, the construction of the control 17 as an analog computer is equally conceivable. The signals are processed analogously and may have to be converted into analog signals beforehand (depending on whether the sensors deliver digital or analog signals). The control signal A tot , which provides an analog control 17 , then no longer has to be converted. Possibly. an amplification of the control signal A ges is still necessary. This happens if necessary through an amplifier 23rd
A memory 31 is assigned to the controller. This is used to store operation-dependent desired noises, which give a map for generating the correction noise 20 , 20 '. Furthermore, characteristic values can be stored in the memory which are used for a self-learning function of the control. This enables the controller to respond more quickly to changes in the operating states and to adapt the mode of operation of the device to age-related changes in the internal combustion engine 10 and the intake tract 11 .
In Fig. 2, a filter 32 is shown, on the clean side 33 in the filter housing 34 of the electromechanical transducer 14 is in the air flow and is protected from contamination. The filter housing is designed as part of the intake tract 11 . The air flows according to the indicated arrows from the intake manifold 15 through the filter 32 to egg nem suction pipe, not shown. The electromechanical transducer is housed in the partition between the intake manifold and the filter housing, so that both sides of the membrane radiate the noise generated into the intake tract. On the one hand, radiation takes place directly in the intake manifold, whereby an overlay with the noise of the coin is possible directly. On the other hand, the noise is radiated into the clean-side housing volume of the air filter. In order to get to the intake manifold, these air vibrations must first pass through the air filter, whereby the damping effect of the filter medium can be used in a targeted manner.
In Fig. 3 a suction pipe 35 is shown with resonance charging. Suction channels 36 extend from two resonance chambers 38 separated by an intermediate wall 37 . In the inter mediate wall a resonance flap 39 is arranged, which can be opened and closed depending on the operating state of the internal combustion engine, not shown. Wei terhin is housed in the intermediate wall 37 of the electromechanical transducer 14 , where each side of the actuator 26 acts on a resonance chamber 38 .
