Description
This invention relates to a method of purifying flue gases, and more particularly to such a method of purifying flue gases in which a gaseous sulfur compound of the flue gases, primarily sulfur dioxide absorbing stavibloid or in the firebox to such an absorbent is added to the firebox of the Kessul is, the partially reacted dust-like absorbent behind the firebox separated from the flue gases, hydrated and behind the separation point, in front of the reaction zone in which in the dust-containing flue gas further water or weüerer steam is introduced, is fed back into the flue gas stream, after which the solid sulfur compounds containing Dust is separated from the so-called flue gases.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a device to be used in conjunction with the above-mentioned device for activating the partially converted from the firebox the boiler coming hot flue gases entrained absorbent before dom actual reactor and in particular a to be inserted into the flue gas channel between the firebox and reactor separator, such as a cyclone with organs for hydrating the partially reacted absorbent deposited from the flue gas channel and for leaching it back behind the separator but before the reactor into the flue gas channel.
Numerous methods are already known for cleaning the smoke noses of gaseous sulfur compounds contained therein. In the so-called LIFAC desulphurisation process, developed by Tampella Uy and described in GB patents 2169887,2174081 and 2174082, limestone powder is injected in the form of fine dust into the boiler firebox where the calcium carbonate contained in the limestone decomposes to form calcium oxide Flue gases contained sulfur dioxide and reacts. while covering the calcium oxide particles with a calcium sulfate crust. This crust can u. U. orschwe'an the penetration of sulfur dioxide into the particles and so affect the conversion of the lime. This process improves the sulfur dioxide separation and the conversion of the oil by moisturizing the lime and increasing the humidity of the flue gases by injecting steam or water into it. Thus, a calcium hydroxide formation reaction is effected by which the degree of desulfurization and the degree of limestone utilization are improved. It is known that the Calciumhyxdroxidbildung used in einor temperature below 570 0 C and the formation speed increases with increasing temperature. In practice it has steam or water introduced into the flue gases after the heating has used in the fire chamber to conducting air by indirect heat exchange, the latter above, where the flue gases Usually Oino temperature below 15O 0 C, often even lower than 12O 0 C had. With regard to the heat balance of the boiler plant, this solution has proven to be the most advantageous.
From Fl-Auslegeschrift 76931 ago also a flue gas cleaning method is known in which one separates from the coming out of the boiler firebox hot flue gases with a cyclone dust in which partially converted dusty calcium oxide has enriched, after which the thus separated dust passes together with the smoke lugs in a getrunnten reactor, where the flue gases with water or a slurry, which is caused by moistening the above-mentioned by the flue gases nbgetrennten dust in a separate humidification, be moistened. In terms of apparatus, this method is difficult because its implementation requires devices with a large number of movable and wear-prone parts, which can lead to operational failures in practice. This invention Hegt, thus the object of sin sin process for flue gas cleaning and thereby to create device to be activated, with which the in the coming of the boiler fire chamber from the entrained dust dust containing absorbent is activated before entry into the actual Reaktoi. With the method according to the invention and the apparatus according to the invention, the sulfur dioxide deposition and the absorption agent utilization rate are improved.
This is achieved according to the present invention, by dividing the coming from the fire chamber hot dust-containing flue gas in a separation zone into a low-dust main stream and a dusty side stream in which steam and / or Wasserne.bel conducts, at one point the temperature of the secondary stream is still so high that the reaction between the gaseous sulfur compounds, the absorbent and the water takes place so vigorously that destruction of the crust of the partially reacted dust particles and thus an activation thereof occur. In erfindungsgomäßen process is thus carried out before the actual reactor, no complete separation of the flue gases from the dust, as is the case in the aforementioned Fl-Auslegeschrift 76931, but coming from the firebox of the boiler hot, partially reacted dusty absorbent flue gases are in two fractions divided, namely a low-dust main stream, which is passed in the LIFAC process ago known manner, possibly via an air preheater in the actual reactor, and a dusty side stream, in which one introduces steam and / or water mist. In this way one avoids completely the problematic, moving parts containing solids humidification systems (see Fl-Auslegeschrift 76931), and it does not need, as in the aforementioned LIFAC process, the entire Rauchgasmengo humidified before the actual reactor with steam or water become. According to the present invention, calcium or magnesium oxide, hydroxide or carbonate may be added to the boiler firebox, but preferably as a cheap raw material known limestone werdon. The limestone breaks down in the firebox: u Calcium oxide partially reacts with the gaseous smoke-gas sulfur compounds, mainly sulfur dioxide, forming a gypsum crust on the surface of the calcium oxide particles, which reacts with calcium present in the interior of the particles Sulfur dioxide prevents. For Akti vation of calcium oxide particles whose surface layer is destroyed according to the present invention by the moisture of the flue gases abruptly increased at a temperature at which the Chornische equilibrium is on the side of calcium hydroxide, but at the same time is so high that the formation of calcium hydroxide and wasserwasserhaltigem Calcium sulfate occurs. The injection of steam or the spraying of water into the dust-rich flue gas side stream allows intensive mixing and rapid formation of calcium hydroxide and calcium sulfate containing water of crystallization, resulting in a sudden swelling of the particles and their fragmentation in the smallest particles whose fracture surfaces contain reactive calcium hydroxide ,
According to the present invention, the introduction of steam or water mist into the dusty flue gas by-pass either takes place after it has been separated from the main stream or preferably in the separation zone itself at a point where the flue gases have already accumulated considerable dust, but still intensive intermixing subject.
The reunification of the dusty flue gas side stream with the low-dust flue gas main stream takes place either in the reactor or before this, but preferably after the main stream has been brought into indirect heat exchange contact with the air to be supplied to the boiler chamber. However, part of the secondary flow can already be conducted back into the main flow before said indirect heat exchange contact.
Part of the separated low-dust main stream kanu be passed into the rear part of the actual reactor to increase the temperature there. Similarly, a portion of the preheated air can be passed into this reactor part.
In the method according to the invention is preferably used as a separator, a cyclone, which, however, is designed so that the dust that is carried by the coming out of the fire chamber flue gases, is not separated as a separate Feststo / fphase of the gas phase, but rather a separation of the flue gases takes place in two gas fractions, namely in a low-dust main stream and in a dusty side stream, the latter is discharged 'down the cyclone from the latter, wherein the lower part of the cyclone in the vicinity of the side stream outlet nozzle for blowing in steam and / or spraying water in the cyclone, and located at the bottom of the cyclone bypass outlet opening via a connecting channel to the running between the cyclone and Roaktor Roof, the main flow lead the flue gas duct is connected to unite the activated dusty side stream behind the separator with the low-dust main Irom.
In the following, the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings, which considered the serving for carrying out the method according to the invention lateral and partially in vertical section show, will be described in detail.

In the drawing, the boiler fire alarms are numbered 1. In this fire chamber 1 sulfuric fuel ti is usually fired under air supply 9. The gaseous sulfur compounds, mainly sulfur dioxide-containing flue gases cool at the heating surfaces 20 in the boiler shell Jnd in the boiler downstream air 9 preheater 10 from. Hiner the boiler and the preheater 10, the flue gases are passed into the elongated reactor 4 and then in the dedusting system 5 and 6 in the chimney.
The fine-grained Roi.genz or its precursor, preferably calcium carbonate, which serves to absorb the gaseous sulfur compounds of the flue gases, is brought from the storage container 2 via metering devices 17 through the pipeline 16 into the air flow of the pneumatic ordering device 18 and from this line the pipeline 7 transported to the top of the boiler. In addition, water is injected into the elongate reactor 4 via the nozzles 1 via its front part. Furthermore, hot air 9 'or hot flue gases 1V originating from the boiler can be blown into the reactor 4 at a suitable point, preferably in the rear part of the reactor, in order to increase the temperature in the rear part of the reactor upstream of the dust separator 5.
According to the present invention, the coming from the boiler hot dust Ra gases are divided in the cyclone 3 into two fractions, namely a low-dust flue gas main stream 11, which is passed via the air preheater 10 in the reactor 4, and in a dusty flue gas side stream 12th , which is united behind the air preheater 10, vorzu4it before the reactor 4, with the main stream. However, part of this dust-clean secondary flow 12 can be routed via the pipe branching off from the pipe 12 even before the air preheater 10 into the main flow.
To activate the entrained by the dusty side stream 12,13 absorbent is sprayed through nozzles 19 at the bottom of the cyclone 3, which are connected to the water line 14, water in l : orm fine mist. In the lower part of the cyclone 3 there is a strong turbulence, so that the feinveiieilton Wasisertröpfchen mix well with dorr, staubangareicherlen flue gas before this on the basis of the bottom of the 's cyclone 3 outgoing pipe 1.'! going on. Alternatively or additionally, water may be sprayed directly into the conduit 12 from the branch 13. Instead of using water or additionally, the reagent contained in the dust can be activated with steam. At the water or Dampfeintragsstello the dusty flue gases have a temperature of about 200- € 00 ° C, in which the formation of calcium hydroxide and crystal water-containing calcium sulfate takes place with great violence, which is why the dust particles cufquellen quickly and disintegrate into smaller particles, their Br.ichflächen having reactive calcium hydroxide.
With the method and the device according to the present invention, the following advantages are achieved compared with the current state of the art: Lower requirement for use of limestone, higher degree of desulfurization, low evaporation steam quantity, which can be well replaced by spraying water, plus an uncomplicated system that does not have any moving parts and thus has wear and failure prone parts.
In the following the invention with reference to an example will be described in more detail.
For the purpose of separating sulfur dioxide from the flue gases, calcareous powder in the ratio lime: sulfur = 2 is introduced into the boiler firebox. To improve the sulfur dioxide separation, the humidity of the flue gases leaving the boiler is increased, whereby the reactivity of the residual lime contained in the flue gases is improved in the wake of calcium hydroxide formation.
According to the invention, a side stream was separated from the outgoing from the boiler flue gas stream in a solids deposition plant, in which 50-80% of the dust contained in the flue gases accumulated. This dust consisted of fly ash and lime formed from the Ktilkstein powder blown into the boiler, on the surface of which a calcium sulfate crust had formed in the boiler firebox. The flue gas entering the solid deposition has, after passing the heating surfaces of the boiler usually has a temperature t (sis) of about 400 0 C. in the dust separation unit is no substantial Abkühlurg so that the main flue gas stream at the same temperature in the flue returns. Water and / or low-pressure steam is introduced into the flue-gas free-stream, lowering the temperature. As a result of humidification, the calcium sulfate crust of the particles preventing the formation of sulfur dioxide is blasted, and the more active lime returning to the process along with the flue gas Neber.strom improves the sulfur dioxide binding capacity of the entire process.
From the obigon table it can be seen that by moistening the dusty flue gas side stream, the Schwetelbindfähigkeiten the LIFAC process significantly improve and / or lime consumption can be reduced.
