Abstract
Fig. 1{Sensor, pyroelektrisch; Schalttransistor; Steuerelektrode; Kurzzeitschalter; Zeitkonstante; Vorverstaerker; Waermesenke}The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for a pyroelectric sensor for influencing its signal-time behavior. The object of the invention is achieved in that a switching transistor is arranged parallel to the sensitive element and its control electrode is connected to a short-time switch. With the short-time switch, the switching transistor is temporarily controlled and then locked again. During the short active phase, which is initiated by a sudden increase in input signal or preventively in the knowledge of such an impending event, the electrical time constant of the preamplifier is drastically reduced. In practice, the adaptation time of the system to a jump signal received or received shortly before or in this phase is determined solely by the thermal time constant. When using heat sinks, it takes a few 10 milliseconds. During this time, the short-time switch can also be used to automatically stop the processing of measurement values, so that practically no values corrupted by jump signals are measured. The interruptions below 0.1 s hardly interfere with the flow of the sample. The circuit is fully functional and pin compatible with already offered pyroelectric sensors, can therefore be realized with little effort and also retrofitted. The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for a pyroelectric sensor for influencing its signal-time behavior.
Pyroelektrische Einelementsensoren werden sehr häufig in Infrarotmeßgeräten, z. B. Pyrometer, Spektrometer und Interferometer, eingesetzt.Pyroelectric Einelementsensoren are very common in infrared, z. As pyrometer, spectrometer and interferometer used.
However, the high sensitivity and specific defectivity of these sensors are associated with large thermal and electrical time constants. A sudden change in the DC component of the radiation flux therefore causes a high, slowly changing signal on the pyroelectric element of the sensor, which can adversely affect the measurement result.
The reduction of the thermal time constant of the pyroelectric element to a few milliseconds is generally achieved by differently designed heat sinks.
The electrical time constant of the sensor can be reduced by reducing the high impedance input resistance of the amplifier, which is connected in parallel with the sensitive element. As a result, however, the specific defectivity also decreases at the same time, in particular at low frequencies, so that resistance values of the order of a few gigaohms can not be undershot.
The manufacturers are satisfied with the Hinwels that in case of sudden changes in the input signals, eg. B. when changing channels, with the measurement 1 to 2 s to wait. If the user does not wait this time, the values measured in this interval are more or less wrong. This waiting provision is especially for immediately consecutive repeated measurements, such. B. when scanning surfaces with an interferometer, disturbing. The measuring time increases significantly.
In DE-OS 2816580 similar problems are described. The solution is the Au. uen in the input circuit to use the sensor antiparallel connected diodes. But the effect of this solution is best only to limit the measured value or the maximum possible error. It is still measured. Whether the measurement is wrong or correct can only be interpreted subjectively.
The aim of the invention is a high-quality pyroelectric sensor for measurements, often occur in the course of leaps and bounds Einar issignale.

Nach der Zeit t, die etwa das Zehnfache der thermischen Zeitkonstante betragen sollte, ist die durch den Gleichanteil des Strahlungsflusses bewirkte Temperaturänderung des pyroelektrischen Elementes soweit abgeschlossen, daß die Betriebsspannung auf 9V abgesenkt werden kann und der Sensor wieder betriebsbereit ist.1 consists of a radiation-sensitive pyroelectric element 1, a maximum impedance 2 (approximately 2.times.10.sup.-1) and a switching transistor 3 which are connected in parallel with each other, followed by a MOSFET 4 operating as a preamplifier, anZ diode 5 (FIG. with U Z > U B -U P , eg 12 V) and a resistor (about 10 kO) The sensitive element consists of modified triglycine sulfate The thermal time constant is about 5 ms through a heat sink (not shown) The switching transistor 3 is on The output signal is taken from the source of MOSFET 4 (terminal A) opposite the ground (terminal M) by increasing the operating voltage U 8 to voltages above U z + Up (e.g. 15 V), the MOSFET 3 becomes conductive, reducing its channel resistance to a low value of approximately 10 kΩ., After the time t, which is approximately ten times the thermal time constant should be te, caused by the DC component of the radiation flux temperature change of the pyroelectric element is completed so far that the operating voltage can be lowered to 9V and the sensor is ready for operation again.
In Fig. 2, such a sensor 7 is part of a multi-channel pyrometer. The short-time switch 9 is between the operating voltage U B and the drive of the channel selector 8. The half permeable and the other half specular disk of the channel selector makes each half turn of the channel selector times the connection to the channel 10.1 and 10.2 to the channel ago. When switching occurs a jump signal. The short-time switch 9 is clocked by the channel selector 8 so that the measurement is briefly interrupted in the switching phases.
In a next application (FIG. 3), the short-time switch 9 of the sensor 7 is assigned to the drive of the scanning device 12 of an interferometer 11. As is known, the mirror of the interference device is moved once each time the drive is started and once again. The short-time switch 9 is connected to the drive 12 so that it is operated shortly before the start signal.
In conjunction with a comparator 13 (Figure 4), the short-time switch 9 can be triggered automatically even when a threshold value is exceeded. This has the advantage that unscheduled jump signals are automatically hidden. Here, as in the other embodiment, the short-time switch 9 can also interrupt the processing or the output of measured values in parallel with the switching of the switching transistor 3 and switch it on again.
