Charakteristik des bekannten Standes der TechnikCharacteristic of the known state of the art
Dental materials based on inorganic polymers and inorganic fillers are well known These are widely used as materials for the manufacture of fillings, crown and bridge veneering materials, linings, liners, dentures, artificial teeth, baseplates, specimens, denture plates and for periodontal treatment ,
Composite materials of this type consist of mixtures of polymerizable organic monomers, polymerization initiators and finely divided inorganic and / or inorganic / organic fillers. Mono- and polyfunctional (meth) acrylate compounds from the group of urethane (meth) acrylates, hydroxymethacrylates and other monofunctional and polyfunctional (meth) acrylates are particularly suitable as polymerizable monomers.
Als Füllstoffe eignen sich u. a. Quarz, Quarzglas, Keramiken, Silikate, spezielle Kieselsäuren sowie vorpigmentierte anorganisch/ organische Verbundfüllstoffe (sog. Splitterpolymerisate).Suitable fillers are u. a. Quartz, quartz glass, ceramics, silicates, special silicic acids and pre-pigmented inorganic / organic composite fillers (so-called splinter polymers).
Ausgehend von der Partikelgröße erfolgt in der Fachliteratur eine Einteilung solcher Dentalkompositmaterialien in:Based on the particle size in the literature is a classification of such dental composite materials in:
- Mikrofüllerkomposite (Partikelgröße kleiner als 1 μηη)- microfillers (particle size smaller than 1 μηη)
- Makrofüllerkomposite (Partikelgröße 1-100цт)- Macrofillers composites (particle size 1-100K)
- Hybridkomposite (Partikelgröße 0,04-50 цт, Gemische aus Mikro- und Makrofüllern).- Hybrid composites (particle size 0,04-50 цт, mixtures of micro- and macro-fillers).
The polymerization (curing) of the restorative materials containing conventional radical formers as photoinitiators, takes place in principle by irradiation with UV or blue light, by the action of heat or at room temperature. However, use is increasingly being made of restorative materials in which light-curing initiators are used. These allow safe use even in the mouth and offer advantages in terms of optimized processing time. Restoration materials for dental applications must have numerous physical and chemical properties or property combinations. In particular, in addition to good processability of the starting pastes and high mechanical strength of the cured solids, such as tensile strength, hardness, flexural strength and compressive strength, water resistance and aesthetically flawless adaptability are required.
Genannt seien DE 2419887 C2, DE 3133008 A1,3709881 A1, DOS 2224683, DOS 2164668, DOS 2126419, DOS 2312258, - DOS 3039664 sowie die US-Patentschriften 3539526,3959212,3629187.A large number of polymerizable monomers, fillers and polymerization initiators have been proposed in order to meet these requirements or to improve these materials for application in dental practice. Mentioned are DE 2419887 C2, DE 3133008 A1,3709881 A1, DOS 2224683, DOS 2164668, DOS 2126419, DOS 2312258, - DOS 3039664 and US Pat. Nos. 3,593,526,3959212,3629187.
A new concept was also to achieve a high filler content of 70% by mass in the case of direct filling without using so-called splinter polymers by means of spherical silica of an average particle diameter of 0.1-2.0% (DD 248281 A1, DD 253180 A1). However, these finely divided filler particles produced by ultrasonic atomization of silica sols are characterized by a relatively high water absorption. Achieving the required aesthetics, in particular the transparency and the melt-like translucent appearance of hardened dental restorative materials, as well as rapid and deep curing, is in the opinion of experts according to the approximation of the refractive indices of organic matrix and inorganic filler (Dowbenko et al .: Progress in Organic Coatings 11 [1983] 71). When using inorganic fillers with a refractive index of ng 0 greater than 1.52 alone, as is the case with special ceramics, glasses or even silicates, this approximation is not possible. Requires admixtures of fillers with much smaller refractive powers in the range of no 0 = 1.45-1.48. Increases in refractive power over the known organic matrix systems, which guarantee the required overall properties of the restorative material, are also limited. In practice, changes in the detail of the composition of dental restoration materials for the improvement of individual parameters, including aesthetic adjustments, affect the impairment of other parts properties of the overall system. However, materials are desirable for dental applications that come as close as possible to the natural tooth by specific property combinations.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The object of the invention is to find a dental restorative material which contains in a predominant proportion a finely divided inorganic filler which, despite a large deviation in the refractive index from the conventional organic matrix systems in the cured state, results in a transparent, melt-like translucent material. At the same time, other property combinations that are difficult to achieve in dental practice are to be achieved, such as high filler content, very good modeling, fast and deep curing during short-term irradiation or thermal treatment, radiopacity, polishability, high mechanical strength, good color effect and low water absorption.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a dental restorative material based on finely divided inorganic fillers, polymerizable olefinically unsaturated compounds (monomers) and polymerization initiators, characterized in that it contains from 51 to 85% by mass of a special mica-cordierr glass ceramic and / or a corresponding Glass of the same composition with
besteht.consists.
The filler according to the invention has a narrow particle size distribution with an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 2 μm. The refractive index of the particular filler is in the range of n = 1.52 to 1.55 ™. Thus, an adaptation to refractive indices of matrix mixtures, which are used for dental composites property reasons and have refractive indices far below this range, not given.
The fact that even by admixing high proportions (up to 85% by weight) of the special finely divided glass-ceramic and / or a corresponding glass to a polymerizable organic matrix having a refractive index of n ° = 1.47 was therefore surprising and unpredictable after the polymerization (hardening) a translucent melt-like restoration material with very good transparency is formed.
This makes it possible to adapt to the aesthetics of natural teeth with this material.
Veränderungen der gewünschten Farbwirkung unter Beibehaltung des durchscheinend schmelzartigen Aussehens sind überChanges in the desired color effect while maintaining the translucent melt-like appearance are about
Dabei kann der erfindungsgemäße Füllstoff als Farbkomponenten NiO, Co2O3, MnO2, FeO, Fe2O3, TiO2 bis zu einem Anteil von 4Ma.-% enthalten.slight changes in the composition of the specific glass-ceramic and / or the corresponding glass in a simple manner adjustable. In this case, the filler of the invention may contain as color components NiO, Co 2 O 3 , MnO 2 , FeO, Fe 2 O 3 , TiO 2 up to a proportion of 4Ma .-%.
The radiopacity of restorative materials for dental applications required for some applications is achieved by the additional components BaO, SrO and PbO. These may be present up to a proportion of 8% by mass in the specific glass ceramic and / or a corresponding glass.
Splitterpolymerisate). The properties of the dental restoration material are not significantly affected when 1 to 15% by mass of the specific ceramic filler and / or the corresponding glass are replaced by finely divided fumed, wet-precipitated or ultrasonically fumed silicas having a particle diameter of less than 5% and finely divided glass spheres, finely divided Quartz powder, quartz powder and inorganic / organic composite fillers (so-called splitter polymers).
These filler substitutions enable the specific setting of specifically required application properties with different filler content of the restoration material.
It is advantageous to subject the finely divided inorganic fillers to surface treatment before being mixed into an organic matrix. For this purpose, it is expedient to carry out a modification with suitable adhesion promoters, in particular with γ-methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, in a known manner. As a polymerizable olefinically unsaturated organic matrix per se known mono- and polyfunctional (meth) acrylate compounds from the group of urethane (meth) acrylates, hydroxy (meth) acrylates and other mono- and polyfunctional (meth) acrylic acid esters are used. Suitable monomers are 1.6 Bis-4-methacryloyloxy-2-ethoxycarbonylamino) -2,4,4 / 2,4,4-trimethylhexane (UDMA), 2,2-bis- / p- (2-hydroxy-3-methacryloyloxypropoxy) phenyl / -propane (Bis- GMA), 1,4-butanediol dimethacrylate, 1,6-hexanediol dimethacrylate, trimethylolpropane triacrylate, tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGMA), (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl) methyl methacrylate, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, 1,10-decanediol dimethacrylate ,
Curing of the dental restoration material may be accomplished by irradiation with light, particularly by light of wavelengths from 320 to 520 nm. For this purpose, it contains a photoinitiator system, for example camphorquinone / triethanolamine, camphorquinone / N.N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate or isopropylthioxanthone / triethanolamine. The concentration of camphorquinone and isopropylthioxanthone is in the range of 0.1 to 1.0% by mass and that of triethanolamine or N, N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate is between 0.2 and 2.0% by mass, based on the polymerizable organic matrix , Curing can also take place in situ, ie in the mouth, with the aid of a fiber optic cable.
A hardening of the restoration material is possible even without exposure to light by heating to temperatures of 50-150 ° C, when a known thermally activatable initiator was added as a polymerization initiator. Particularly suitable here are dibenzoyl peroxide and cumyl hydroperoxide, which are added in a proportion of 0.5-2.0% by weight of the polymerizable mixture.
Also possible is the combined addition of photochemically and thermally activatable initiators. Application finds this procedure in the production of crown and bridge materials and especially for the preparation of composite inlays.
Expediently, a pre-hardening with the aid of light is carried out, followed by a thermal post-coating of the material.
Ferner ist das erfindungsgemäße Dentalrestaurationsmaterial auch für die Anwendung als Fissurenversiegeler zum KariesschutzFurthermore, the dental restoration material according to the invention is also suitable for use as a fissure sealer for caries protection
im Okklusalbereich einsetzbar. Hierbei erfolgt nach Anwendung der in der Dentalpraxis üblichen Ätztechnik eine Aushärtung dieses Materials durch Bestrahlung mittels Lichtleitkabels.can be used in the occlusal area. This is done after application of the usual in dental practice etching a curing of this material by irradiation by means of optical fiber cable.
The curing of the dental restoration material is possible even at room temperature and without exposure to light. In this case, a two-component system is mixed, for. B. two partial pastes A and B, wherein a redox initiator system is contained separately. The processing width of this system is 2.5 to 5min.

After 90s of irradiation in the Dentacolor XS illuminator, the result is very hard, smooth-surfaced bodies with a seemingly melt-like appearance. The depth of cure is 6.7 mm. The hardened restoration material is polishable. It shows in color effect and aesthetics a perfect adaptation to the natural teeth. The solids have a high mechanical strength after water storage (21 days) with low moisture absorption on:
Nach 21 Tagen Wasserlagerung werden folgende Eigenschaftsparameter erzielt:15.94 g of the special A-174 modified glass ceramic of composition 4 (mean particle diameter 1.5 μm) are mixed with 2.45 g bis-GMA, 1.05 g TEGMA, 0.025 g dibenzoyl peroxide. The very easy-to-model restorative material is hardened by heating to 90 ° C under pressure after transfer to a special tooth form. The very hard radiopaque solid has a smooth and non-porous surface and can be excellently machined. After 21 days of water storage, the following property parameters are achieved:
Eine weitere Lösung, bestehend aus 0,6g UDMA, 1,7 g TEGMA, 0,7 g 1,4-Butandioldimethacrylat und 0,019 g Ν,Ν-Dimethytaminoethylmethacrylat, wird mit 11,3g einer speziellen Glaskeramik der Zusammensetzung 2 (mittlerer Teilchendurchmesser 1,2 μηη), die ebenfalls mit A-174 oberflächenbeschichtet wurde, zu einer homogenen Paste verarbeitet (Paste B).12g of the specific glass-ceramic (mean particle diameter 1.5pm) with composition 4, which was conventionally modified with A-174, are intimately mixed with a solution consisting of 2.1g UDMA, 0.9g TEGMA and 0.018g dibenzoyl peroxide (Paste A). Another solution, consisting of 0.6 g of UDMA, 1.7 g of TEGMA, 0.7 g of 1,4-butanediol dimethacrylate and 0.019 g of Ν, Ν-Dimethytaminoethylmethacrylat, with 11.3 g of a special glass ceramic of composition 2 (average particle diameter of 1 , 2 μηη), which was also surface-coated with A-174, processed to a homogeneous paste (paste B).
Folgende Eigenschaftsparameter werden nach 21 Tagen Wasserlagerung erzielt:Mixing equal proportions of paste A and B on a mixing block produces a very hard restoration material with good color effect after complete curing. The processing width of the paste mixture is 4min. The surface workability of the radiopaque solids is excellent. The following property parameters are obtained after 21 days of water storage:
