The invention relates to a switching power supply with compulsory pulse generation at idle, with such switching power supplies to increase the security of supply of electronic devices or modules in parallel feed these consumers.
It is known to connect switching power supplies in parallel to increase the output power. In this case, the switching power supply, whose output voltage is set higher, its maximum current and the second power supply provides the rest of the current and determines the output voltage. In the event of an overload, the power supplies must limit their output current in such a way that they can work continuously without damage in this state. The case considered here is different. The supply to the load is taken over by a power supply whose output voltage is set higher. The other power supply remains unloaded. Switching power supplies, which receive their internal auxiliary voltages from their power transformer, show the appearance that falls below a certain minimum load, the auxiliary power supply provides too little energy and internal protection circuits to suspend (with restart after a certain time) lead. If an operation in idle must be possible, such Sr hold power supplies already have a corresponding preload. If such power supplies (also with pre-load) are connected in parallel, then the power supply with the higher set output voltage still takes over the entire current (including both pre-loads), and the other power supply switches off. Now, for example, B. in the working power supply to a defect, then the consumer remains temporarily without voltage until the other power supply switches on. Such power supplies can be disconnected via diodes connected to the consumer for this application. Thus, the minimum load is guaranteed for each power supply and prevents the suspension. The disadvantage is that the consumer receives a reduced by the Diodenflußspannung, which is still load-dependent, reduced operating voltage.
Schaltnetzteile, die ihre Hilfsspannungen über einen separaten Netztrafo erzeugen, zeigen den oben beschriebenen Effekt des „Aussetzens" nicht, der Aufwand dafür ist jedoch hoch (Netztrafo).Switching power supplies that generate their auxiliary voltages through a separate power transformer do not exhibit the above-described effect of "exposure", but the overhead is high (power transformer).
The aim of the invention is to ensure a switching power supply that it does not come to suspension, even if the Bslastung goes to zero.
The invention has for its object to make a switching power supply so that even when idle constantly pulses are generated so that the auxiliary voltages do not fall below the required height.
According to the task, as shown in the characterizing part of claim, solved.
The solution is used in a switching power supply, in which there is a control amplifier for controlling the Ausgangspnnnung on the secondary side, the z. B. is fed by the output voltage itself, and whose output signal übei an optocoupler is transmitted to the primary side and there controls a pulse width modulator.
According to the invention, a detection circuit now monitors the level of the auxiliary voltage on the primary side and influences the level of the control circuit t ; Control signal transmitted to the primary side via the optocoupler in such a way that, when the auxiliary voltage drops below a certain value, pulses are generated independently of this control signal.
B.The advantage is the fact that the Schaltnetztcile are universally applicable or a special auxiliary power supply, eg. B.

Based on Fig. 1 with the associated voltage curves (Fig. 3), the operation of the known circuit of a switching power supply with its principle-related disadvantages will be explained.
With the rectifier circuit 1,2 is generated from the mains voltage U n required for the operation of the converter DC voltage. The converter itself (power transistor 3, power transformer, 4, rectifier 5 and filter capacitor 6) is shown greatly simplified, since the details of the power unit and the type of converter (blocking, flow or other) is irrelevant to the operation of the circuit arrangement according to the invention. After switching on a capacitor 8 is charged via a resistor 7 (voltage U c ). Upon reaching a certain voltage (time ti) a flip-flop circuit 9 switches this voltage to a capacitor 10 (auxiliary voltage U H ). Thus, a drive circuit 11, which also includes the pulse width modulator, begins to supply pulses to the power transistor 3. At the same time, the converter begins to supply itself via an auxiliary winding on the power transformer 4 and the diode 12 itself with auxiliary voltage. As long as the output voltage Ua has not reached its target value, the control voltage U 5 is high. At time t2, the output voltage has reached its setpoint, and a control circuit 13 reduces the control voltage via an optocoupler 14 so that exactly the required output power (U A , I A ) is generated.
Der weitere Vorgang entspricht dem Einschalten (t6 = t,).If the output current is switched off (time I 3 ). then the control amplifier reduces the control voltage U s to 0 (no pulses). Since there is no subsequent delivery via the diode 12, the auxiliary voltage U H soon drops below a value below which no activation of the power transistor is possible. The integrated formwork used for this purpose have a protective circuit against insufficient operating voltage. The same effect as switching off the output current occurs when a second switching power supply is connected in parallel with a slightly higher output voltage. Now sets (time L 1 ) of this parallel-connected power supply due to a defect or the like, the output voltage decreases. However, the drive circuit of the first power supply can not deliver any pulses because their auxiliary voltage is too low. The output voltage decreases accordingly. Only at time t 5 , the flip-flop 9 disconnects the load from the capacitor 8, and this can recharge. The further process corresponds to switching on (t 6 = t,).
The additional circuit 15 according to the invention (see Fig. 2) does not affect the operation until time t 3 (operations analogous to Fig. 1, see also Fig. 4), since the transistor 16 via the resistor 17 and the Z-diode 18 with sufficient auxiliary voltage U H is controlled (U E ~ 0). If (t 3 ) the load is switched off (by connecting a second power supply unit with a larger output voltage), Hann will no longer generate any pulses, and the auxiliary voltage will drop. Before the undervoltage Schwt He of the drive circuit 11 is reached, below which no pulses are generated, the transistor 16 is blocked by the appropriate dimensioning of the voltage divider 17,18,19 and U E increases. (t 4 ) U 5 thus increases, although the optocoupler 14 is controlled by the control amplifier 13 ago (U s ~ U E ). Upon reaching the threshold of U s , from which pulses are generated (t s ), the drive circuit outputs one or more pulses until the auxiliary voltage has risen so high that the transistor becomes conductive. In this case, electricity is also delivered to the load. This process is repeated continuously. If now fails the second power supply (t 6 ), then the first power supply is immediately able to deliver power, and there is no voltage drop at the consumer.
The resistor 20 limits the maximum value of U E , to prevent unnecessarily wide pulses are generated by a too large control voltage U 5 . This would result in a larger output power being unaffected by the variable gain amplifier, thereby increasing the minimum load that would have to be consumed by a built-in load resistor for a no-load power supply. Since the additional circuit "stabilizes" the auxiliary voltage U 11 , when the input voltage U n drops (for example when switching off), the output voltage increases at very low load Forward control in the drive circuit to the required minimum height of U s for generating minimum pulses compensated.
