The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a cable with optical waveguides, in particular two-wire flat cables for installation purposes. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the fiber optic cores and the strain relief elements run into the extruder head at the same time or only the fiber optic cores under a defined tensile stress 300 p, the fiber optic cores being connected by simultaneous extrusion in a multicannular die in the compression process ,
Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a line with optical waveguides (FO), in particular two-core flat cables for installation purposes, suitable for laying in buildings, walk-in cable ducts, pipe trains, on flatbeds and the like, preferably for use in the areas data processing, measurement and control technology, object protection and television transmission.
Such lines have become known in various embodiments in which cores are surrounded by a common envelope of plastic material by extrusion and corresponding strain relief elements are retracted in the production with. In processes for the production of flat cables according to DE-PS 2627174, DE-AS 1404370 and DE-OS 2418000 with fiber two to be joined together sheets of unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene are first profiled and then laminated together, the optical glass fibers and strain relief at defined intervals between the Shrink films during production. Subsequently, the welding of the two films is carried out by a sintering process. Such lines produced are relatively expensive and require a high procedural effort.
A further disadvantage is that the polytetrafluoroethylene films shrink strongly as a result of the sintering process, as a result of which an impermissible, strong, mechanical stress, in particular for the internal tension of the optical fiber, occurs. The result is a frequent breakage of the fiber and thus a reduction in the service life of the lines.
A disadvantage of these lines is further that they have a low mechanical protection in the radial direction and low flexibility, whereby the mechanical load capacity is limited.
The aim of the invention is to provide a method and an apparatus with which with simple, technological means and low procedural effort lines can be made with fiber, which have a long life.

The fiber optic installation cable is made by the simultaneous extrusion of 2 fiber optic 01,0mm. The fiber optic cores may contain both gradient fiber optic and step fiber optic. As insulating material of this solid core, PA, PE, PP, PBTP, APR and fluoropolymers can be used. The wires run from 2 braked by 1905.2 / 3-type Ferrari motors. They enter the extruder head under a tension of 200 ± 15p. The extrusion of the PVC YM3 or YTJ1-70 / 2 takes place in the pressing process at a melt temperature of about 150 ° C and a melt pressure of about 80bar. The distance tip / die in the head is about 2 mm. The die has a temple length of 2 mm and a flow angle of 7.1 °, the tip has a flow angle of 4.5 °. For better guidance of the fiber optic cores in the extruder tool 2 cannula tubes with an outer diameter of 1.95 mm and an inner diameter of 1.3 mm are inserted into the tip. Extrusion of the 2,2 χ 1,5mm fiber optic installation conduit (including the 0,2 mm wide and the 0,1 mm high) is performed at a speed of about 20mmin " 1 .
