Fig. 1The invention relates to a method for the automatic detection of visible irregularities in transparent test objects and an arrangement for its implementation. It is particularly suitable for fault detection in glass tubes during the manufacturing process. The task here is to produce a high-contrast image of the irregularities, to convert them into an electrical signal and to process them in such a way that their secure automatic recognition is guaranteed. According to the invention, the object is achieved by introducing optical radiation into the test object and detecting the profile of the radiation emerging laterally from its propagation direction from the test object with a picture-recognizing sensor. The average value of this profile is stored, continuously updated and compared with the current brightness signal, where excesses are detected and signaled as irregularities. Fig. 1

The invention relates to a method for the automatic detection of visible irregularities in transpoarenten test objects and an arrangement for carrying out the method. They are particularly suitable for detecting irregularities, such. As bubbles and pebbles in glass tubes or rods, during the manufacturing and hot processing processes suitable.
There have been proposed test methods and arrangements for detecting irregularities in transparent or optically reflective objects (DD-PS 205989, 217012, 231116, DE-OS 2827705, DE-PS 31 09270).
These methods and arrangements illuminate the test objects and thereby generate an image of the test object including its irregularities, which is converted into an electrical signal by optoelectronic elements (eg photodiodes, image pickup tubes). This signal is evaluated in terms of its time course, for example, by comparators, with transgressions of a fixed threshold are recognized as irregularities.
These known methods and arrangements are limited or not applicable for the automatic detection of irregularities in glass products, since the mapping of the errors to be detected with sufficient contrast, which is the prerequisite for the automatic evaluation of the corresponding electrical signals, not or only with unacceptable high effort is possible. The reason for this is that the basic brightness of the undisturbed image does not have a constant course and therefore the fixed threshold of the comparator must have a sufficient safety margin. Therefore, these systems are relatively insensitive to inhomogeneities in the background brightness.
If the comparator threshold is fixed with a sufficient safety margin in relation to the undisturbed image signal, the image defect infogle of an error must have a strong contrast to the basic brightness, so that the error is reliably detected.
With the known methods and arrangements, this optically high-contrast error imaging is therefore limited or not possible because the undisturbed image already has a normal brightness level and interference can only be determined as deviations from this level.
Not applicable for. For example, all the known methods that are not designed for transparent objects. Only with unacceptably high effort, the invention of DE-PS 31 09270 can be used because you can not reliably detect errors in the edge area and must use multiple optoelectronic sensors to fully evaluate the measurement object can.
The object of the invention is to provide a method and an arrangement for the automatic detection of visible irregularities in transparent test objects, which does not possess the disadvantages of the known methods.
The object of the invention is to develop a method that allows a high-contrast image for automatic detection of visible irregularities in transparent test objects, and to provide an apparatus for performing the method, which performs a processing of mapping the irregularities in an electrical signal so in that reliable automatic detection and evaluation of these irregularities is ensured. According to the invention the object is achieved in that introduced into the test object optical radiation and the profile of the laterally emerging to the propagation direction of the test object radiation is detected with a picture-detecting optoelectronic sensor. The mean value of this radiation profile is stored, continuously updated and compared to the comparator as a variable threshold as an electrically analog voltage which simulates the brightness signal of the undisturbed test object and compared with the instantaneous brightness signal of the optoelectronic sensor. Exceeding the mean value of the radiation profile including a tolerance threshold by the instantaneous measured value of the optoelectronic sensor are signaled as irregularities in the test object. The arrangement for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that the side of the object to be tested, inclined in an axis opposite the Ausbrteitungsrichtung the optical radiation, a lens and a picture-identifying optoelectronic sensor are arranged whose video signal output of the A / D converter, or The output of the D / A converter is connected via a summing element to the first input of a! Comparator whose second input is connected to the video signal output of the image-detecting optoelectronic sensor and. Both of the digital value memory and the D / A converter connected in series Digital Weitspeicher and the image-detecting optoelectronic sensor are coupled to the clock control unit.
The test method according to the invention and the arrangement for its implementation will be explained in more detail in the following exemplary embodiment:
Fig. 1: zeigt den schematischen Aufbau der AnordnungFig. 1: shows the schematic structure of the arrangement
Fig. 2: zeigt die graphische Darstellung eines charakteristischen StrahlungsprofilsFig. 2: shows the graphical representation of a characteristic radiation profile
In FIG. 1, the image-detecting optoelectronic sensor 1, for example a CCD line, and the objective 2 are arranged laterally on the pipe string 3 in the direction of the pipe axis near the outlet from the feeder 4. The video signal output 5 of the sensor line is connected to the input of the A / D converter 6, to which the digital value memory 7 and the D / A converter 8 are connected in series. The output of the D / A converter is guided via the summing element 9 to the first input of the comparator 10. The second input of the comparator is assigned to the video signal output 5. Furthermore, the clock control unit 11 is connected to both the digital value memory 7 and the sensor 1.
From the liquid glass mass in the memory 4, optical radiation enters the pipe string, which propagates as a result of total reflection at the pipe walls in the pipe string, preferably in its axial direction. Ei η part of this radiation exits laterally from the pipe string and thereby forms a characteristic radiation profile 12, which in its shape, u.a. by the geometry of the tube (Fig. 2). Irregularities in the tubing string, such as Bubbles or pebbles are clearly visible in the profile as a result of, or coupling out, a higher level of radiation from these perturbations. By the optoelectronic sensor 1, triggered by the timing controller 11, the radiation profile in a sequence of electrically analog signals corresponding to the brightness of the pixels of the sensor implemented. These signals are digitized in the A / D converter 6 and written in the memory 7 by the clock controller 11 synchronized. The memory 7 forms from previous, already stored measured values and the instantaneous brightness signal 12b an average 12 a, which is available at the output of the D / A converter 8 as an analog setpoint of undisturbed Strahlun'gsprofils available. This setpoint value is raised in the summing element 9 by the tolerance threshold Uo and switched to the comparator 10 as a comparison value 12c. The comparator compares this with the current brightness signal and signals overshoots 12d as irregularities in the pipe string.
