(ID(ID
in Gegenwart einer Base mit einer Verbindung der Formel H-A, worin A die obengenannte Bedeutung besitzt, umsetzt.in the presence of a base with a compound of the formula H-A, wherein A has the abovementioned meaning.
Die Reaktion kann auch im Zweiphasensystem Wasser/organisches Lösungsmittel wieAs bases, inorganic bases such as Aikalihydroxyd or alkali metal carbonate such as NaOH, K 2 CO 3 or organic bases, for example, tertiary nitrogen bases such as pyridine or triethylamine can be used. It is expedient to operate in an organic solvent which is inert under the reaction conditions, such as toluene, methylene chloride, acetonitrile, dimethylformamide or diethyl ether. The reaction can also be used in the two-phase water / organic solvent system
z. As toluene, methylene chloride are carried out. In this case, the component HA is dissolved in the two-phase system water / organic solvent and the compound of the formula II is added dropwise simultaneously with the base. The reaction temperatures can vary between 0 ° C and 80 ° C, preferably between 10 ° C and 5O 0 C.
The compounds of formula II can be obtained by halogenation of the corresponding acids in the usual way with a halogenating agent, for example with thionyl chloride, phosphorus tri- (or -penta) chloride. The corresponding acids are known (for example from DE-OS 31 09035) or can be prepared analogously to the processes described there from the corresponding tetrahydrophthalic anhydrides and the corresponding anilines. The conversion of the acids to the acid chlorides of the formula II and the subsequent reaction to give the compounds of the formula I can be carried out in a one-pot process, wherein before the reaction of II and I, the halogenating agent must be removed from the reaction medium, for example by distillation.
The compounds of the formula I according to the invention have excellent herbicidal activity against a broad spectrum of economically important monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous harmful plants. Even difficult to control perennial weeds, which expel from rhizomes, rhizomes or other permanent organs, are well detected by the active ingredients. It does not matter whether the substances are applied in the pre-sowing, pre-emergence or postemergence process.
Beispielsweise können folgende Schadpflanzen bekämpft werden:For example, the following harmful plants can be combated:
Schadgräser wieGrass weeds like

Werden die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen vor dem Keimen auf die Erdoberfläche appliziert, so wird entweder das Ablaufen der Unkrautkeimlinge vollständig verhindert, oder die Unkräuterwachsen bis zum Keimblattstadium heran, stellen jedoch dann ihr Wachstum ein und sterben schließlich nach Ablauf von drei bis fünf Wochen vollkommen ab.If the compounds according to the invention are applied to the surface of the earth before germination, either the weed seedlings are completely prevented, or the weeds grow to the cotyledon stage, but then cease their growth and finally die completely after three to five weeks.
When the active ingredients are applied to the green parts of the plants postemergence, a drastic halt in growth occurs very rapidly after the treatment, and the weed plants remain in the growth stage at the time of application or die off more or less rapidly after a certain time, so that these A harmful to the crops weed competition can be eliminated very early and sustainable by the use of the novel agents of the invention.
Although the compounds of the invention have excellent herbicidal activity against mono- and dicotyledonous weeds, crops of economically important crops such. As wheat, barley, rye, rice, corn, sugar beet, cotton and soy only insignificant or not damaged. In addition, the compounds according to the invention have growth-regulatory properties in crop plants.
They regulate into the plant's metabolism and can thus be used to facilitate harvesting such as. B. by triggering desiccation, abscission and stunted growth. Furthermore, they are also suitable for the general control and inhibition of undesirable vegetative growth, without killing the plants. Inhibition of vegetative growth plays an important role in many monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous cultures, as storage can be reduced or completely prevented.

3. Kulturpflanzenverträglichkeit3. crop compatibility
In further experiments in the greenhouse seeds of a larger number of crops were laid in sandy loam soil and covered with soil.
Part of the pots were treated immediately as described under 1.; the remainder were set up in the greenhouse until the plants had developed two to three true leaves and then sprayed with the substances according to the invention in different dosages, as described under 2.
Four to five weeks after the application and life in the greenhouse was determined by optical Bonitur that compounds of the invention dicotyledonous crops such. As soybean, cotton, oilseed rape, sugar beets and potatoes in pre- and post-emergence even at high doses of active ingredient undamaged. In addition, some substances also protected Gramineae crops such. As barley, sorghum, corn, wheat or rice. The compounds of the formula I thus have a high selectivity when used for controlling unwanted plant growth in agriculturally important crops.
